신경회로망 모델을 이용한 기계윤활면의 마멸분 형태식별 (Wear Debris Identification of the Lubricated Machine Surface with Neural Network Model)

  • The neural network was applied to identify wear debris generated from the lubricated machine surface. The wear test was carried out under different experimental conditions. In order to describe characteristics of debris of various shapes and sizes, the four shape parameter(50% volumetric diameter, aspect, roundness and reflectivity) of wear debris are used as inputs to the network and learned the friction condition of five values(material 3, applied load 1, sliding distance 1). It is shown that identification results depend on the ranges of these shape parameter learned. The three kinds of the wear debris had a different pattern characteristics and recognized the friction condition and materials very well by neural network.

  • 본 논문에서는 동적신경회로망을 이용한 미지의 비선형 시스템 제어 방식을 제안하였다. 제안한 방식은 비선형 시스템의 상태 공간 모델과 유사한 형태의 신경회로망을 구성하여 비선형 시스템을 식별하고, 식별한 정보를 이용하여 제어기를 설계하는 방식이다. 제안한 방식의 유용성을 확인하기 위하여 단일 관절 매니플레이터를 대상으로 시뮬레이션을 수행한 결과 우수한 제어 성능을 확인하였다.

  • In this paper, we propose the speaker identification system that uses vowel that has speaker's characteristic. System is divided to speech feature extraction part and speaker identification part. Speech feature extraction part extracts speaker's feature. Voiced speech has the characteristic that divides speakers. For vowel extraction, formants are used in voiced speech through frequency analysis. Vowel-a that different formants is extracted in text. Pitch, formant, intensity, log area ratio, LP coefficients, cepstral coefficients are used by method to draw characteristic. The cpestral coefficients that show the best performance in speaker identification among several methods are used. Speaker identification part distinguishes speaker using Neural Network. 12 order cepstral coefficients are used learning input data. Neural Network's structure is MLP and learning algorithm is BP (Backpropagation). Hidden nodes and output nodes are incremented. The nodes in the incremental learning neural network are interconnected via weighted links and each node in a layer is generally connected to each node in the succeeding layer leaving the output node to provide output for the network. Though the vowel extract and incremental learning, the proposed system uses low learning data and reduces learning time and improves identification rate.

  • A neural model predictive control strategy combining a neural network for plant identification and a nonlinear programming algorithm for solving nonlinear control problems is proposed. A constrained nonlinear optimization approach using successive quadratic programming cooperates with neural identification network is used to generate the optimum control law for the complicate continuous/batch chemical reactor systems that have inherent nonlinear dynamics. Based on our approach, we developed a neural model predictive controller(NMPC) which shows excellent performances on nonlinear, model-plant mismatch cases of chemical reactor systems.

  • 본 논문은 신경 회로망과 유전 알고리즘을 이용한 비선형 시스템 모델링을 다룬다. 비선형 함수의 근사성 때문에 시스템을 식별하고 제어하기 위해서 신경 회로망을 응용한 연구가 실제로 많이 이루어지고 있다. 빠른 응답시간과 최소의 오차를 위해서는 최적구조 신경 회로망을 설계하는 것이 중요하다. 유선 알고리즘은 최근에 단순성과 견고성 때문에 점점 많이 이용되는 추세이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 유선알고리즘을 이용하여 신경회로망을 최적화한다. 오차와 응답시간을 최소화하는 신경 회로망 구조를 위해서 유전알고리즘의 유전자로 이진 코딩하여 최적 신경회로망을 탐색하고자 한다. 시뮬레이션을 통해서, 최적 신경회로망 구조가 비선형 시스템 식별에 효과적인 것을 입증하고자 한다.

  • This paper demonstrates that the recurrent neural networks can be used successfully for the identification of finite automata (FAs). A new type of recurrent neural network (RNN) is proposed and the offline training algorithm, regulated Levenberg-Marquadt (LM) algorithm, for the network is developed. Simulation result shows that the identification and the extraction of FAs are practically achievable.

  • The improvement of the water level control is important since it will prevent the steam generator trip so that improve the reliability and credibility of operation system. In this paper, the closed loop system identification is performed which can be used for the system monitoring and prediction of the system response. The model also can be used for the prediction control. Irving model is used as a steam generator model. The plant is an open loop unstable and non-minimum phase system. Fuzzy controller stabilize the system and the stable controller stabilize the system and the stable closed loop system is identified using neural networks. The obtained neural network model is validated using the untrained input and output. The results of computer simulation show the obtained Neural Network model represents the closed loop system well.

  • Instead of using only spatial features from a single frame for person re-identification, a combination of spatial and temporal factors boosts the performance of the system. A recurrent neural network (RNN) shows its effectiveness in generating highly discriminative sequence-level human representations. In this work, we implement RNN, three Long Short Term Memory (LSTM) network variants, and Gated Recurrent Unit (GRU) on Caffe deep learning framework, and we then conduct experiments to compare performance in terms of size and accuracy for person re-identification. We propose using GRU for the optimized choice as the experimental results show that the GRU achieves the highest accuracy despite having fewer parameters than the others.

Structural damage identification based on genetically trained ANNs in beams

  • This study develops a two stage procedure to identify the structural damage based on the optimized artificial neural networks. Initially, the modal strain energy index (MSEI) is established to extract the damaged elements and to reduce the computational time. Then the genetic algorithm (GA) and artificial neural networks (ANNs) are combined to detect the damage severity. The input of the network is modal strain energy index and the output is the flexural stiffness of the beam elements. The principal component analysis (PCA) is utilized to reduce the input variants of the neural network. By using the genetic algorithm to optimize the parameters, the ANNs can significantly improve the accuracy and convergence of the damage identification. The influence of noise on damage identification results is also studied. The simulation and experiment on beam structures shows that the adaptive parameter selection neural network can identify the damage location and severity of beam structures with high accuracy.
