PURPOSES : While road networks are becoming increasingly complex, traffic signs are being indiscriminately installed and operated, which makes drivers who depend on traffic signs to reach their destination confused and unable to understand road information efficiently. In order to promptly and exactly guide road users to their destinations, traffic signs should be able to satisfy the functions of connectivity, visibility, and location suitability. However, the results of a site survey shows that most of the traffic signs currently installed in the Jeollanam-do Province do not satisfy these functions. METHODS : This study analyzed the problems of traffic signs after an actual site survey and focused on a total on 9,353 traffic signs and 70 road routes in Jeollanam-do Province. RESULTS : This study analyzed the problems of traffic signs based on their required functions (connectivity, visibility, suitability) and suggested improvements by establishing a guide system that considered the problems found in the study. CONCLUSIONS : The guide system can be utilized as a basic material that provides efficient road information for future installation and maintenance of traffic signs in Jeollanam-do Province.
As a way to further expand and enable the 5G ecosystem, the $3^{rd}$ Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) is considering the development of a 5G new radio (NR)-based non-terrestrial network (NTN). These NTNs are expected to provide ubiquitous 5G services to user's equipment (especially, in Internet of Things/machine-type communications (IoT/MTC) public safety, and critical communications) by extending service coverage to areas not covered by 5G terrestrial networks. To this end, this NTN is developing scenarios to provide 5G services using spaceborne vehicles, such as geosynchronous and low-Earth orbit satellites, and airborne vehicles, such as unmanned aircraft systems, including high-altitude pseudo-satellites. In addition, various technologies are being studied to satisfy new requirements not considered in 5G NR, such as long propagation delay time, large cell coverage, large Doppler effect, and base station movement. In this paper, we present the scenarios, requirements, technical issues and solutions, and standardization planning for NR-based NTN in 3GPP.
The rapid growth of IT technology has enabled ship automation systems to gain better functionality and safety with reduced costs and crew numbers. Nowadays, the remote maintenance services for the systems are required because a ship may be located in a very remote area. To provide the remote maintenance services, some issues such as how to collect the ship automation systems data, how to monitor a ship's data from onshore offices, how to get support from experts while sailing, and how to reduce the maintenance costs, should be addressed. In this paper, we propose a remote ship maintenance system for remote monitoring and diagnostics of ship automation systems, which is based on both a ship area network to integrate separate system networks and a ship-shore communication infrastructure to support a remote access using satellite communications. Finally, we present the function test to verify the applicability of the proposed system.

This study aims at knowing both the level of information security awareness in the use of social media among female secondary school students in Makkah Al-Mukarramah, and the procedures that students follow when exposed to hacking or other security problems. The study relied on the descriptive survey approach. The results showed a high percentage of social media use among the study sample, and the most used applications by the students are snapchat and Instagram applications successively. In fact, 48% of the study sample have awareness of information security, the majority of the students memorize the password in the devices, most of them do not change them, and they have knowledge of fake gates and social engineering. However, their knowledge of electronic hacking is weak, and students do not share passwords with anyone at a rate of 67%. At the same time, they do not update passwords. Moreover, most of the procedures followed by students when exposed to theft and hacking is to change the e-mail data and the password, and the results varied apart from that, which reflects the weak awareness of the students and the weakness of procedures related to information security. The study recommends the necessity to raise awareness and education of the importance of information security and safety, especially in light of what the world faces from data electronic attacks and hackings of electronic applications.

Many emerging mobile ad-hoc network application communications are group-oriented. Multicast supports group-oriented applications efficiently, particularly in a mobile environment that has a limited bandwidth and limited power. Energy effectiveness along with safety are 2 key problem in MANET design. Within this paper, MANET is presented with a stable, energy-efficient clustering technique. In this proposed work advanced clustering in the networks with ticket ID cluster manager (TID-CMGR) has formed in MANET. The proposed routing scheme makes secure networking the shortest route possible. In this article, we propose a Cluster manager approach based on TICKET-ID to address energy consumption issues and reduce CH workload. TID-CMGR includes two mechanism including ticket ID controller, ticketing pool, route planning and other components. The CA (cluster agent) shall control and supervise the functions of nodes and inform to TID-CMGR. The CH conducts and transfers packets to the network nodes. As the CH energy level is depleted, CA elects the corresponding node with elevated energy values, and all new and old operations are simultaneously stored by CA at this time. A simulation trial for 20 to 100 nodes was performed to show the proposed scheme performance. The suggested approach is used to do experimental work using the NS- simulator. TIDCMGR is compared with TID BRM and PSO to calculate the utility of the work proposed. The assessment shows that the proposed TICKET-ID scheme achieves 90 percent more than other current systems.
SINR(: Signal to Interference and Noise Ratio), RSRP(: Reference Signal Received Power)
Vehicular Ad Hoc NETwork (VANET), a subclass of Mobile Ah Hoc NETwork (MANET) has been a tech-buzz for the last couple of decades. VANET, yet not deployed, promises the ease, comfort, and safety to both drivers and passengers once deployed. The by far most important factor in successful VANET application is the data dissemination scheme. Such data includes scheduled beacons that contain whereabouts information of vehicles. In this paper, we aim at regularly broadcasted beacons and devise an algorithm to disseminate the beacon information up to a maximum distance and alleviate the broadcast storm problem at the same time. According to the proposed scheme, a vehicle before re-broadcasting a beacon, takes into account the current vehicular density in its neighborhood. The re-broadcasters are chosen away from the source of the beacon and among the candidate re-broadcasters, if the density in the neighborhood is high, then the candidate rebroadcaster re-broadcasts the beacon with high probability and with low probability, otherwise. We also performed thorough simulations of our algorithms and the results are sound according to the expectations.
DRM(Digital Rights Management)은 인터넷상에서 디지털 컨텐츠의 안전한 유통과 저작권을 관리하는 기술이다. 본 논문에서는 종단간의 실시간 데이터 전송을 위해 RTP(Real-time Transport Protocol)를 이용한다.
Recently, with the development of IoT communication technology, products and services that detect and inform the surrounding environment under the name of smart plugs are being developed. In particular, in order to prepare for fire or gas leakage accidents, products that automatically close and warn when abnormal symptoms occur are used. Most of them use methods of collecting, analyzing, and processing information through networks. However, there is a disadvantage that it cannot be used when the network is temporarily in a failed state. In this paper, sensor information was analyzed using deep learning, and a model that can predict abnormal symptoms was learned in advance and applied to MCU. The performance of each model was evaluated by developing firmware that can judge and process on its own regardless of network and applying a predictive model to the MCU after 3 to 120 seconds.
