Recently technology commercialization has been the focus of technology Promotion Policy in Korea. This paper tries to develop a composite indicator for measuring trends and prospects of national technology commercialization through integrating large amount of information into easily understood formats. The indicator is composed of five sector indicators including activity, cooperation or networking, performance, environment, and psychology indicators, each of which aggregates five individual variables. The statistical method of standardizing and weighting variables in the aggregation process are also mentioned. This indicator is expected to be a useful monitoring and policy tool for the Korean technology market.

Dendrimers are well-defined macromolecules exhibiting a tree-like structure, first derived by the cascade molecule approach. Peculiar features of the dendritic geometry are the large number of end groups as well as the shape persistence in higher generations, approaching spherical geometry. And one of the most peculiar characteristics of dendritic macromolecules is their controlled molecular structure and orientation, which means that they have a practical application in achieving a highly organized molecular arrangement. We attempted to fabricate a dendrimer LB films containing 48 pyridinepropanol functional end group. As the pyridinepropanol functional group could form a complex structure with metal ions. We investigated the surface activity of dendrimer films at air-water interface compared with pure dendrimer and its complex with $Fe^{2+}$ ions into subphase. We though that metal ions are contributed to networking or branching reaction between dendrimers. And we expected that it can result in the differences on the electrical properties. We have studied the electrical properties of the ultra thin dendrimer LB films investigated by the current-voltage characteristics of metal dendrimer LB films/metal (MIM) structure.

KASI's Solar and Space Weather Research Group (SSWRG) is actively involved in solar and space weather research. Since its inception, the SSWRG has been utilizing ground-based assets for its research, such as the Solar Flare Telescope, Solar Imaging Spectrograph, and Sunspot Telescope. In 2007 SSWRG initiated the Korean Space Weather Prediction Center (KSWPC). The goal of KSWPC is to extend the current ground observation capabilities, construct space weather database and networking, develop prediction models, and expand space weather research. Beginning in 2010, SSWRG plans to expand its research activities by collaborating with new international partners, continuing the development of space weather prediction models and forecast system, and phasing into developing and launching space-based assets. In this talk, we will report on KASI's recent activities of international collaborations with NASA for STEREO (Solar Terrestrial Relations Observatory), SDO (Solar Dynamic Observatory), and Radiation Belt Storm Probe (RBSP).

Server-side anti-viruses are useful to protect their domains, because they can detect malicious codes at the gateway of their domains. In prevailing local network, all clients cannot be perfectly controlled by domain administrators, so server-side inspection, for example in e-mail server, is used as an efficient technique of detecting mobile malicious codes. However, current server-side anti-virus systems perform only signature-based detection for known malicious codes, simple filtering, and file name modification. One of the main reasons that they don't have detection features, for unknown malicious codes, is that activity monitoring technique is unavailable for server machines. In this paper, we propose a detection technique that is executed at the server, but it can monitor activities at the clients without any anti-virus features. we describe its implementation.

Purpose: Despite well-known benefits of walking on cardiovascular health, no structured walking exercise program has been formally tested on elderly Korean immigrants (EKIs). This pilot randomized controlled trial study assessed the effect of a walking program on walking behavior (pedometer steps count), stress (cortisol), depressive symptoms (CESD-10), and cardiovascular disease biomarkers (hs-CRP and fibrinogen) via venipuncture in EKIs. Methods: Seventy EKIs recruited from a Korean community were randomly assigned to a 12-week walking group or control group in a 3:2 ratio. The working program included a pedometer, buddy, monthly coffee card, weekly call for goal setting, and physical activity consultation. Walking group EKIs maintained the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommended exercise guidelines and good mental health status over 12 weeks. Results: There was no significant difference in the outcomes between control and walking groups. Conclusion: Social networking with Koreans in the senior center and church from a well-established Korean community might have positive effects on mental health.

The purpose of this study is to investigate on Humint, one of the intelligence activity conducted by police officer to prevent the possibility of crime in advance and to handle crime in short time. Also, this study aims to identify how interpersonal relationship of police influences Humint acquisition in order to find out the influence of Humint on actual policy activity. For completion, this study conducted survey on current police officer and developed the study based on these data. Humint refers to information acquired by contact between people and to information acquired by intangible contact. Humint, the intangible information, is delivered fast and identifies the other's hidden intention. Humint also approaches inaccessible information and has strength of acquiring information based on five senses instead of using machine. Humint plays vital role in human relations. The investigation on the influence of level, trust, and range of human relations on Humint application demonstrated that people with wide human relations applied Humint effectively on identifying trend. Also, people with wide range of human relations used Humint effectively when utilizing information to handle the crime.

Objectives: Members of Korean Healthy Cities Partnership(KHCP) has increased rapidly since 2006 and adopted Active Living Environments(ALE) as common theme in 2015. Academic definition and categorization, needs assessment and operational planning for making active living environments were required from KHCP. Methods: Literatures review, survey to members of KHCP, specialist discussion and consultation with members of KHCP have been done from October of 2015 to February of 2016. Results: ALE included humane(social networks), physical and political resources. Three categories and 13 items for ALE were identified. Present actions among member cities were variable and especially immature in physical environments. Indicators for ALE were not secured stably. Requirements for policy and physical environmental approach and adolescent programme were high. Priority areas for education and technical assistance were master planning, guideline and case, program and policy development, partnership development, and networking among cities. Representative projects among member cities were somewhat different from ideal models. Conclusions: Policy and environmental approaches needs to be reinforeced systemically for members of KHCP including securing stable indicators. More education and technical assistance also needed sustainably.

A blog has significant effect as a new online medium and as a tool to share information with its powerful networking function. Blogs are established based on personal experience and their impact is stronger than conventional media in terms of informativeness, credibility and interactivity. Such characteristics of blogs lead to blog commitment (a phenomenon that has behavioral consequences) that eventually influences consumer fashion purchase behavior. The more a consumer is interested in fashion and seeks diverse information from a wide range of media, the more personally committed they become to certain blogs; in addition, they will also post the results of their fashion product purchases on their blog to further create and reproduce information. This research discovers how blog commitment affects fashion product purchase behavior and information reproduction activity among consumers as well as explores the impact of blog characteristics and information variety seeking by individual consumers on these factors. The data was collected from 428 adults who purchased a fashion product based on information they found on a blog. The results are as follows. First, blog characteristics are composed of accessibility, interactivity, credibility of the information, and informativeness. Second, in terms of the blog commitment, informativeness, credibility, and consumer information diversification (respectively), turned out to have positive effects; in addition, accessibility and credibility had positive effects for corporate blogs. The comparison between private and corporate blogs showed that consumers tend to be more committed to private blogs. Third, in terms of the brand attitude, private/corporate blog commitment, credibility, and consumer information diversification (respectively) had a positive influence. Fourth, blog characteristics and consumer information diversification led consumers (through private/corporate blog commitment) to form a favorable attitude towards the brand and purchase products that resulted in information reproduction of the purchased product.

Since its establishment in 2018, the Young Generation Network (YGN) has been dedicated, with support of the International Radiation Protection Association (IRPA), to a variety of activities to promote communication, collaboration and professional development of students and young professionals in the area of radiation protection and its allied fields. This article reports our recent activities from the middle of 2018 to the beginning of 2021, with highlights on some important events: "Joint JHPS-SRP-KARP Workshop of Young Generation Network" (December 2019 in Japan); contribution to "Nuclear Energy Agency Workshop on Optimization: Rethinking the Art of Reasonable" (January 2020 in Portugal); survey on the impact of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) on radiation protection among IRPA YGN members (March 2020); and contribution to IRPA15 (15^th International Congress of the IRPA; January-February 2021, online). The discussion and insight obtained from each activity are also summarized. The IRPA YGN will aim to achieve its on-going activities and continue to follow the ways paved in the Strategic Agenda and despite the challenges raised by the COVID-19 pandemic. Namely, running an international survey (for example, on the usage of social media in radiation protection, and on the long-term consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic), engaging national YGNs, extending the network, finding new relationships with networks with an interest in the young generation and participation in (remote) events will be aspired for.

This paper aims at investigating voluntary user participation such as user citizenship behavior and aberrant user behavior in the SNS context. Also it examines on how user participation behavior affects social connectedness, privacy concern, and user satisfaction. The empirical assessment of the research model was conducted using a total of 143 responses. The findings show that user citizenship behavior impacts on social connectedness positively and significantly whereas aberrant user behavior does not influence on social connectedness. Aberrant user behavior is proven not to be related to social connectedness, and to has positive relationship with concern for privacy invasion. Also, the results show that privacy concern is not associated with social connectedness. Finally, social connectedness is shown to be a key determinant of SNS user satisfaction whereas privacy concern is not related to user satisfaction.
