HFC 가입자망 상향대역 신호분석에 관한 연구 (The Analysis on the Upsteam band Signal in the HFC Access Network)

  • To provide more qualified data service on the HFC(Hybrid-Fiber Coaxial) access network, the channel characteristics of upstream transmission band should be carefully investigated and analysed. It will be easier to do network management if the monitoring system for noise measurement in the network is available, In this paper, noise analysis method and the frequency selection method in the upstream band for duplex transmission are suggested. And, Data aquisition device for the signal measurement Is implemented. With this network monitoring system, field test and the result from the collected data are described.

  • 홈 네트워크 제어 서비스 환경에서는 외부요인에 의한 장애, 네트워크 장애, 장치의 장애 등에 의해 장애가 발생할 수 있다. 더욱이 사용자는 시스템 결함 관리와 같은 복잡한 시스템 관리를 직접하는 것을 원하지 않는다. 따라서 홈 네트워크를 구성하는 홈 기기에 대해 장애가 발생할 경우 자동으로 복구하는 시스템을 필요로 한다. 이를 위해 본 논문에서는 홈 네트워크 제어 시스템 상의 홈 기기들의 제어 로그의 설계와 관리, 장애 발생시점의 홈 기기의 서비스 내용을 분석하여 홈 기기의 서비스 연속성을 보장하기 위한 방법을 제시하고 구현한다.

양면영상을 이용한 온라인 검표고 등급판정 시스템 개발 (Development of On-line Grading System Using Two Surface Images of Dried Oak Mushrooms)

  • As a basic research for the development of the automatic grading and sorting system for dried oak mushrooms, the device to acquire both cap and gill side images of mushroom has been developed and neural network based side recognition and quality grading has been proposed via inputting both side images. 20 quality grades have been selected considering the requirement of grade classifications imposed by the mushroom company. Developed DC motor driven‘V’type reversing device for the image acquisition of both side images of mushroom showed more than 95% success. Most error was caused by very small size mushrooms with a radius of around 1cm. However, it required a further research to reduce the reversing time. Grading and side recognition were performed via inputting normalized size factors and average gray levels of $8{\times}8$ grids converted from the raw images of both surfaces to the multi-layer back propagation(BP) network. Accuracy of the grading showed about 88.5% and the total grading time including reversing operation was around 2 seconds.

모든 Peer가 송수신자인 Ad Hoc 네트워크에서의 자료 분배 방법에 대한 고찰 (Content Distribution Mechanism in an All-Sender-All-Receiver Ad Hoc Network)

  • Mobile device users are sensitive to pay telecommunication charge for downloading Internet data, because the cost is proportional to the amount of data received. If there are device users who want to download the same content, they may cooperate each other to form an ad hoc network and share the partially downloaded content in order to reduce the amount of data downloaded. Each mobile device, called a peer, downloads a specific portion of the whole content using fee-based telecommunication channel, and exchanges the portion with other peers with free ad hoc channel in order that all participating peers are able to reconstruct the whole content in this situation, al1 participating peers become senders and receivers at the same time. In order to distribute the partial content to other peers, the ad hoc network requires a control led distribution mechanism. This paper introduces the per-peer-based distribution method in which one designated peer can transmit partial data to its neighbors at a time. Simulation results show that 90$\%$ of the telecommunication cost is saved with as few as 10 peers .

  • Ad-hoc 네트워크에서 디바이스들의 연결은 신뢰를 기반으로 각 디바이스들간 네트워크망을 구성한다. 이러한 네트워크 환경에서 임의의 디바이스가 접근하거나 탈퇴하는 경우가 빈번히 발생하므로 악의적인 디바이스의 접근 및 공격에 대비하여 디바이스 인증 및 보안 기술이 필요하다. 기존의 연구는 인증서 및 아이디를 이용한 인증과 대칭키 및 공개키를 이용한 보안기술을 적용하였으나 Ad-hoc 네트워크의 특성상 공유 비밀값을 이용한 기존의 보안기술은 인증 시 디바이스의 오버헤드 및 빠른 인증 서비스를 제공하기에 많은 문제점이 발생한다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 보안 통신을 설립하는 두 디바이스간 사전에 공유한 정보 없이 식별자를 이용하여 인증 아이디를 생성하고 이를 통해 키를 설립하는 방식을 제안한다. 인증 아이디를 이용하므로 공유한 비밀정보 없이 상호간의 신뢰가 형성될 수 있으며, 대칭키 방식을 이용하여 통신에 안전성 및 효율성을 제공한다.

ATM 교환시스템 제어계의 자국호 처리 지연 성능평가 (Local call processing delay of the control network in ATM switching system)

  • ATM switching system is made up of transport network and control newrk according to its functions. The control device, basic part of control network must be developed before developing any other functions, and control device must be stable and need high reliability. Out distributed ATM switching system consists of several ALSs that provides variable local call services, and an ACS that interconnect among several ALSs. Eech ALS has CCCP that takes charage of call and connection control functions, and ACS has an OMP that takes charge of OA&M(Operation, Administration and Maintenance) functios. In this paper, we analyzed the performance evaluation of control device that manipulate subscriber's call based on ITU-T Q.2931 standard protocol messages and Interprocessor communication messages. As a result of simulation when the number of ALS is under 22, as the call arrival rate increase the processor utilization of CCCP increase rapidly than that of OMP. When the number of ALS is incremented to 22, the processor utilization of CCCP is balanced with the of OMP, and when the number of ALS exceeds 22, the processor utiliztion of OMP increase rapidly. Also if messary processing time of OMP is 1.35 times that of CCCP, processor utilizations of CCCP and OMP is equal.

다중 네트워크에서의 동영상 전송을 위한 이동 단말 장치의 설계 및 구현 (Design and Implementation of a Mobile Terminal Device for Video Transmission in Multiple Networks)

  • 본 논문에서는 무선 다중 접속 기술을 이용하여 1080i 해상도와 최대 30fps 프레임레이트를 갖는 휴대용 동영상 전송 장치를 설계 및 제작하였다. 이 장치의 영상획득 지연시간은 16us이며 지터는 평균 21ms이다. 이 장치는 다양한 통신망에 선택적으로 접속이 가능하도록 설계하였으며 전송 시험을 위하여 서버와 관제를 위한 뷰어를 구현하였다. LTE망을 이용한 전송실험의 경우, 3Mbps 전송 시 211ms 지연시간을 타나냈으며 인말새트 위성망을 이용한 실험에서는 265kbps 전송 시 1fps 프레임레이트로 렌더링되는 것을 확인하였다.

  • In order to provide smart devices with high quality multimedia streaming services, an adaptive streaming technique over HTTP has been received much attention recently and the Dynamic Adaptive Streaming over HTTP (DASH) standard has been established. In DASH, however, the technique to select an appropriate quality of multimedia based on the performance metrics measured in a smart device might have some difficulties to reflect the capabilities of other neighboring smart devices and dynamic network conditions in real time. To solve the problem, this paper proposes a novel software agent approach, called DASH agent (DA), which gathers and analyzes the device capabilities and dynamic network conditions in real time and finally determines the highest achievable quality of segment to meet the best Quality of Experience (QoE) in current situations. The simulation results show that our approach provides higher quality of multimedia segments with less frequency of quality changes to lower quality of multimedia segments.

A Dynamic Defense Using Client Puzzle for Identity-Forgery Attack on the South-Bound of Software Defined Networks

  • Software Defined Network (SDN) realizes management and control over the underlying forwarding device, along with acquisition and analysis of network topology and flow characters through south bridge protocol. Data path Identification (DPID) is the unique identity for managing the underlying device, so forged DPID can be used to attack the link of underlying forwarding devices, as well as carry out DoS over the upper-level controller. This paper proposes a dynamic defense method based on Client-Puzzle model, in which the controller achieves dynamic management over requests from forwarding devices through generating questions with multi-level difficulty. This method can rapidly reduce network load, and at the same time separate attack flow from legal flow, enabling the controller to provide continuous service for legal visit. We conduct experiments on open-source SDN controllers like Fluid and Ryu, the result of which verifies feasibility of this defense method. The experimental result also shows that when cost of controller and forwarding device increases by about 2%-5%, the cost of attacker's CPU increases by near 90%, which greatly raises the attack difficulty for attackers.

High Quality Network and Device Aware Multimedia Content Delivery for Mobile Cloud

  • The use of mobile devices is increasing in multimedia applications. The multimedia contents are delivered to mobile users over heterogeneous networks. Due to fluctuation in bandwidth and user mobility, the service providers are facing difficulties in providing Quality of Service (QoS) guaranteed delivery for multimedia applications. Multimedia applications depend on QoS parameters such as delay, bandwidth, and jitter to offer better user experience. The existing schemes use the single source and multisource delivery but are unable to balance between stream quality and network congestion for mobile users. We proposed a Quality Oriented Multimedia Content Delivery Scheme (QOMCDS) for the mobile cloud to deliver better quality multimedia contents for the mobile user. The multimedia contents are delivered to the mobile device based on the device's parameters and network environment. The objective video quality assessment models like Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio (PSNR), Structural Similarity (SSIM), and Video Quality Measurement (VQM) are used to measure the quality of the video. The client side Quality of Experience metric such as Startup delay, Rebuffering events, and Bitrate switch count was used for evaluation. The proposed scheme is evaluated using dash.js and is compared to existing schemes. The results show significant improvement over existing multimedia content delivery schemes.
