  • Problems like poor security, transfer delay or packet loss occur while building network systems that are applied with TCP/TP integrate with data network systems. To solve this problem, this paper proposes the Separated Ethernet, which can give priority to the system, and by using the OPNET Modeler simulator, we will verify its performances.

  • This paper describes the operation analysis results of a communication-based DC micro-grid using a hardware simulator developed in the lab. The developed hardware simulator is composed of distributed generation devices such as wind power, photovoltaic power and fuel cells, and energy storage devices such as super-capacitors and batteries. Whole system monitoring and control was implemented using a personal computer. The power management scheme was implemented in a main controller based on a TMS320F28335 chip. The main controller is connected with the local controller in each of the distributed generator and energy storage devices through the communication link based on a CAN or an IEC61850. The operation analysis results using the developed hardware simulator confirm the ability of the DC micro-grid to supply the electric power to end users.

  • The tactical data-link is useful to exchanging automatic information and controling command in combat environment. This is a essential factor of interoperability in the future combat situation of network centric warfare. In a aspect of a weapon system development, Modeling & Simulation can save expense. HLA RTI is a standard communication protocol in M&S. So, we suggest that Link Simulator connect tactical data-link through RTI. This simulator has the interoperability between M&S and tactical data-link, the reusability through adabing M&S framework, and the wide usability by automatic engagement function.

  • The evaluation systems in SHS(Ship Handling Simulator) or ERS(Engine Room Simulator) give trainees the opportunity to feedback how they responded suggesting them the operation result by scores. If SHS and ERS are integrated each other by network to enable the synchronous training for both deck and engine officers these systems need to include inherently the function of integrated evaluation which produces the evaluation score for the team play of deck and engine officers. The integrated evaluation is effective especially when assessing the responses at emergency situation of ship or the matter of efficiency of ship operation even if assessors feel difficult in editing simulation scenarios for integrated evaluation. This study focuses on the property of integrated evaluation and considerations when editing them. It suggests also a useful procedure to estimate whether a scenario for integrated evaluation is reasonable and balanced or not based on the analysis in the proprieties and reasonabilities which are to be prepared by assessors before testing trainees or examinees.

  • An ACC driving simulator is a virtual reality device which designed to test or evaluate vehicle control algorithm. It is designed and built based on the rapid control prototyping(RCP) concept. Therefore this simulator adopt RCP tools to solve the equation of a vehicle dynamics model and control algorithm in real time, rendering engine to provide real-time visual representation of vehicle behavior and CAN communication to reduce networking load. It can provide also many different driving test environment and driving scenarios.

  • In this paper describe the block simulator that simulate generator's contoler such as governor, exciter and stabilizer. To use legacy tool such as PSS/E for user defined model is very difficult. The simulation tool such as Matlab/Simulink is easy to simulate user defined model but integrate simulation and power system network analysis is unavailable. As a result this paper show that block simulator for contoler model verify. It is include block simulator design, implementation and verify to Matlab/Simulink.

  • Wireless communication technology developed, portable wireless devices based on wireless network including the smartphone rapidly developed, and products with functions similar to highly efficient computer are being launched. Therefore, active studies to enable performance of works, which were previously held in computers, on portable wireless terminal are being held. Until now, simulation was undertaken using computers which satisfy high performance computing resource. Such contains a problem that it cannot break away the limit of space. Portable wireless terminal has the merit that it can break away from the limit of space by using wireless network in comparison to wired environment. In this paper, it suggests a simulator based on wireless devices for distributed simulation. For such purpose, the performance time of simulation will be compared in regards to the case of performing nodes control simulation in a single highly efficient computer and the case of performing distributed simulation in many wired and wireless network environments. Through the comparison, the possibility for utility of portable wireless terminal as the object of distributed simulation will be verified, and it will be presented that simulation can be performed in a shorter time by performing distributed simulation under various wired and wireless network environments away from the limit of space.
