Mobile IP is the basic solution to provide host mobility, whereas network mobility refers to the concept of collective mobility of a set of nodes. In a network mobility scenario, mobile networks can be nested in a hierarchical form. That situation is referred to a nested mobile network Nested mobile networks exhibit the pinball routing problem, which becomes worse in proportion to the number of nested levels in the hierarchy. In this paper, we propose a routing optimization scheme having backward compatibility to the basic network mobility protocol and concerning heterogeneity of nested mobile network, also we perform comparison and analysis of proposed schemes.
We propose a network-based global mobility mechanism between the IP based Access Networks. In the core network, the control message and data transmission were separated for fast location registration. In the local area, by applying the PMIPv6 technology, the network-based mobility was possible. Moreover, when the existing handover scheme compared with the proposed handover scheme, we can see definitely that the handover latency time of the proposed handover scheme has better performance than that of the existing handover scheme.

In this paper, we proposed a new MANET (Mobile Ad hoc Networks) technology of routing protocol. The MANET has a mobility formation of mobile nodes in the wireless networks. Wireless network have two types architecture: the Tree based multicast and shared tree based. The two kind's architecture of general wireless networks have difficult to solve the problems existing in the network, such as connectivity, safety, and reliability. For this purpose, as using that ADDMRP (Ad hoc network Doppler effect-based for Dynamic Multicast Routing Protocol), this study gives the following suggestion for new topology through network durability and Omni-directional information. The proposed architectures have considered the mobility location, mobility time, density, velocity and simultaneous using node by Doppler effects and improved the performance.

A mobile ad-hoc network is an autonomous collection of wireless mobile nodes that organizes a temporary network without any network infrastructure. Due to node mobility, it is a challenging task to maintain the network topology. In this paper, we propose a stable clustering algorithm that uses node mobility for cluster formation. In the proposed algorithm, the node mobility is measured by counting the number of nodes entering into/leaving from its transmission range. The node having the lowest mobility is selected as a cluster head. For topology maintenance with reduced control overhead, the cluster head adaptively controls the broadcasting period of hello message to the measured node mobility. Through computer simulations, it is verified that the proposed algorithm outperforms previous clustering algorithms in terms of control overhead, the rate of node mobility changes and the number of cluster head changes.
Recently, various proposals for supporting network mobility, which provides efficient Internet access when a network formed within a vehicle moves around as a unit, have emerged. The schemes in those proposals, though, manifest some major drawbacks with respect to scalability: If the number of mobile nodes within a mobile network is large, the handoff latency would increase greatly, causing communication disruption; Data delivery to a node within a nested mobile network nay suffer extremely inefficient pinball routing. We propose a scalable network mobility supporting mechanism named SNEMOS (Scalable NEtwork Mobility Support), which resolves the above two major problems of the existing schemes. The performance of SNEMOS is compared with the existing schemes through extensive simulations. The numerical results show that SNEMOS outperforms the existing schemes with respect to handoff latency hop counts of routing paths, packet delivery time, header overhead in data packets, and signaling overhead.

IP-based mobility management is a core technology in the next generation network environment. MIPv6 is introduced to support for mobility in global network, and HMIPv6 is being considered as a local mobility management protocol to reduce signaling overhead for mobility management in the global network. Also, the paging technology is introduced to IP-based network to reduce signaling overhead and power consumption for mobility management. In this paper, we propose P-HMIPv6 which enables IP paging service in HMIPv6 to reduce signaling overhead for local mobility management in MAP domain of HMIPv6.

An efficient mobility management for mobile stations plays an important role in mobile communication network. Two basic operations of mobility management are location registration and paging. A zone-based registration (ZBR) is implemented in most of mobile communication systems and we consider the mobility management scheme that combines a zone-based registration and a selective paging (SP). We propose new analytical model that can reflect on the characteristics of the ZBR based on 2-dimensional random walk mobility model and more efficient paging schemes considering the proposed model. We evaluate the performance of the mobility management scheme with our mobility model to determine the optimal size of location area that will result in the minimum signaling traffic on radio channels. Numerical results are provided to demonstrate that our mobility model is useful to evaluate the ZBR more exactly.
IP mobility can be handled in different layers of the protocol. Mobile IP has been proposed to handle the mobility of Internet hosts in the network layer. Recently, a new method based on the SIGMA mobility architecture has been proposed to support mobility management with reduced packet loss and latency. The location management structure is not suitable for frequent mobile handover due to the high mobility of the user with this transport layer solution. In this paper, we propose a location management optimization method in a mobile communication network by applying hierarchical location management using MMPs(Mobility Management Points) for transport layer mobility management. Therefore, we propose an efficient hierarchical mobility management structure even between heterogeneous wireless networks using MMPs for the probability that a mobile terminal can change multiple location areas between two messages and calls. The proposed method shows reduction in location update cost and data retrieval cost using MMPs, and as opposed to mobility appearing in time intervals with the minimum cost required to reach 90% of the stabilized cost, the mobility location update search, location It was found that the message processing cost per area was reduced.

Recently, mobility support of connectionless mobile ATM data service has been mainly studied in wireless ATM communication network. this paper shows the network model for the mobility support of connectionless data service in ATM network, and proposes the methods to minimize COIP (care of IP address) acquisition processing time for MH(mobile host)migration. Th echaracteristics of proposed methods, COIP acquisition probability and IP data communication sequence of proposed model, are discussed in this paper.

Currently in a Ubiquitous Sensor Network (USN) research field, supporting mobility is recognized as an important technology. MIPv6 and Network Mobility(NEMO) Basic Support Protocol are standard protocols to support mobility in the Internet. However, if they are applied to USN with no modification, handoff performance decreases due to the size of their binding message. An existing lightweight protocol for NEMO protocol has a compatibility problem of Sequence Num. and does not optimally compress binding messages considering 6LoWPAN network structure and addressing. This paper proposes optimal header compression which supports node-based mobility and network-based mobility. Our optimal compression technique compresses a 32bytes binding update(BU) message and a 12bytes binding ACK(BA) message of MIPv6 into 13bytes and 3bytes, and a 40bytes BU message and a 12bytes BA message of NEMO protocol into 13bytes and 3bytes. The result shows that our protocol compresses 15bytes (NEMO-BU) and 1byte (NEMO-BA) more than the existing protocol and achieves 8.72% handoff performance improvement.
