Network Analysis of Connectivities among the Disciplines of Convergence Researchers: Cases of Convergence Research Groups in a University (융합연구자 학제 간 연결성에 관한 네트워크 분석: 대학 내 융합연구그룹의 사례)

  • The importance and necessity of convergence research to solve complexity and diversity of research problems is more increasing. For successful convergence research, connectivity beyond the boundary and distance between disciplines is a key factor. To understand the current status and characteristics of connectivity among researchers, we investigated the interdisciplinary relationships among 487 researchers' disciplines in a university by using network anaylsis. The results showed that (1) connectivity between similar disciplines were higher than different disciplines, (2) the density and cohesion level of connectivity within the same campuses were higher, and (3) network centrality was concentrated in engineering and medicine. Based on these results, the necessity of overcoming boundaries and distances as obstacles to convergence research and the necessity of diversification of centrality were proposed. While previous studies mainly analyzed the research outcomes, this study is meaningful because it analyzed researchers' connectivity and collaborative structures in the actual convergence research procedures.

  • We are now in the era of digital convergence with CE products and PC at the center, but product diversification occurs in the same breath. Each device may perform its own functions itself independently, but proportion of the inter-device usage is increasing gradually by concept of a home network and ubiquitous widely prevailed. The consumer's need of inter-device connection will take the dominative position of the market. Therefore, we can easily forecast that diversification of the products may inevitably lead connectivity patterns complicated considering recent market situation and trends. In this paper, we propose the methodology for designing inter-device connectivity which covers issues such like segmenting numerous number of connectivity pattern, and establishing their structure of control. Our methodology also supports the inter-device connection with extensive latitudes and a multi-device simultaneous control. In order to present inter-device connectivity guideline, we define four stages of a user experience - Connection, Configuration, Use, Disconnection. Based on the 4 user experience stages, we suggest a specific connectivity designing guideline for each step.

Transfer Learning Backbone Network Model Analysis for Human Activity Classification Using Imagery (영상기반 인체행위분류를 위한 전이학습 중추네트워크모델 분석)

  • Recently, research to classify human activity using imagery has been actively conducted for the purpose of crime prevention and facility safety in public places and facilities. In order to improve the performance of human activity classification, most studies have applied deep learning based-transfer learning. However, despite the increase in the number of backbone network models that are the basis of deep learning as well as the diversification of architectures, research on finding a backbone network model suitable for the purpose of operation is insufficient due to the atmosphere of using a certain model. Thus, this study applies the transfer learning into recently developed deep learning backborn network models to build an intelligent system that classifies human activity using imagery. For this, 12 types of active and high-contact human activities based on sports, not basic human behaviors, were determined and 7,200 images were collected. After 20 epochs of transfer learning were equally applied to five backbone network models, we quantitatively analyzed them to find the best backbone network model for human activity classification in terms of learning process and resultant performance. As a result, XceptionNet model demonstrated 0.99 and 0.91 in training and validation accuracy, 0.96 and 0.91 in Top 2 accuracy and average precision, 1,566 sec in train process time and 260.4MB in model memory size. It was confirmed that the performance of XceptionNet was higher than that of other models.

Fraud Detection System Model Using Generative Adversarial Networks and Deep Learning (생성적 적대 신경망과 딥러닝을 활용한 이상거래탐지 시스템 모형)

  • Artificial Intelligence is establishing itself as a familiar tool from an intractable concept. In this trend, financial sector is also looking to improve the problem of existing system which includes Fraud Detection System (FDS). It is being difficult to detect sophisticated cyber financial fraud using original rule-based FDS. This is because diversification of payment environment and increasing number of electronic financial transactions has been emerged. In order to overcome present FDS, this paper suggests 3 types of artificial intelligence models, Generative Adversarial Network (GAN), Deep Neural Network (DNN), and Convolutional Neural Network (CNN). GAN proves how data imbalance problem can be developed while DNN and CNN show how abnormal financial trading patterns can be precisely detected. In conclusion, among the experiments on this paper, WGAN has the highest improvement effects on data imbalance problem. DNN model reflects more effects on fraud classification comparatively.

  • The main battlefield of 'made in China 2025' proposed by the Chinese government is the deep integration of industrialization and informatization, among which intelligent manufacturing and new energy vehicles are the key links. New energy vehicle refers to the use of unconventional automotive fuel as a power source (or use conventional automotive fuel, the use of new vehicle-mounted power plant), integrated vehicle power control and driving aspects of advanced technology, the formation of advanced technical principles, with new technology and the structure of the vehicle. BYD's success in the battery, I T and automobile industries has attracted the attention of the industry, making it a shining new star in the Chinese business community. BYD 's innovation, diversification and corporate culture construction have certain enlightenment to the development of China's small and medium-sized enterprises. Therefore, by looking at the Chinese network literature, about BYD's research mainly focused on the development strategy, corporate finance, corporate performance, and corporate marketing, etc. This paper will take BYD as the research object and focus on corporate culture. Through literature analysis and qualitative analysis, it will summarize and further analyze the unique corporate culture of BYD, its important role, and provide relevant theoretical references for the construction and development of corporate culture in other industries.

  • This paper describes an interactive educational software developed at Konkuk University. This software provides an educational opportunity for electrical engineering students at the junior level to expand their knowledge about fault analysis in power systems. The developed educational software has three main modules: 1) Z-building, 2) setting the type and location of the fault, 3) displaying the calculated fault currents, according to the given simulation options. The main features of this tool are the diversification of acquisition network data, the function of learning about the z-building procedures, and the dynamic display function of state vectors-all voltage/current phasor. To verity the effectiveness of the developed educational software, some case studies are performed.

  • National Radio Research Agency(RRA) has legislated technical regulations of telecommunication equipments. These technical regulations are related to safety of operators and users, service quality, accessibility for the disabled, interoperability and network connection of terminal equipment. Also, RRA drives the establishment or amendment of technical regulations for terminal equipment considering the evolution of ICT technicology and diversification of services. In 2013, RRA researched the amendment of technical regulations in relation to terminal equipment, which are related to the measurement frequency for signal band power, unwanted signal power, pulse shape.

  • U-Healthcare service is a real-time service using the vital signs which are continuously transferred from monitoring sensors attached to mobile patients under the wireless network environments. It should monitor the health condition of mobile patients everywhere at any time. In this paper, we have improved two features of the three layered mobile patient monitoring system with load balancing ability. First, the simulation process has been improved by allowing the number of related nodes to be changed. Secondly, we have modified S node to which queue is added to reduce the loss rate of collecting data from patients during the delay of S node process. And the data from the patient with high priority can be transferred to the server immediately through the filtering function. Furthermore, we have solved the problem of redundancy in sharing information among S nodes by differentiating process time to each S node. By performing a DEVS Java-based system simulation, we have verified the efficiency of this improved system.

  • With the increase in smartphone users, attacks targeting smartphone malware, zombie smartphone, such as smart phones is increasing. Security of smart phones is more vulnerable than PC security, for a zombie smartphone and generates a serious problem than the zombie PC attack on the smartphone every day is diversification. In this paper, the comparative analysis of malicious code and smartphone DDoS attacks and DDoS attacks from the PC, When using a service by connecting to the data network, proposes a method for users to confirm the packet smartphone direct a method for detecting by using the PC malware Smart PC Phone. Propose the measures of malicious code and smartphone DDoS attacks.
