There is an increase in the consumption of aquatic products and a vast prospect of its trade. Fisheries as a major one of the traditional industries in China have significant price advantages and natural resources. However, marine pollution in China is more and more serious and the expecting of aquatic products has been seriously influenced by green barriers in the recent years. This paper tries to examine the effect of Chinese marine pollution on export of aquatic products in China. This paper utilizes cointegration test to estimate long-run equilibrium between marine pollution and fisheries products export. The results indicate that real exchange rate and income variable have positive effects and fish price has negative effect on China's fisheries export to Korea. However, marine pollution variable has no statistically significant effect on dependant variable. And according to the result of China's fisheries export to Japan, exchange rate has positive effect and both fish price and marine pollution variable have negative effects on export. Lastly, marine pollution and income level have effects on dependant variable in the case of Hong Kong, but exchange rate and price variable have no significant effect on aquatic products export from China to Hong Kong. In a word, marine pollution of China is a serious problem and it has negative effect on Chinese export of aquatic products.

  • Purpose: This study aims to determine the effect of broadband access, education level, population numbers, and investment on the unemployment rate in Indonesia. Research design, data, and methodology: This study uses panel data from 34 provinces from 2016 to 2019. The analysis uses the fixed-effect model for panel data with the Feasible Generalized Least Square (FGLS) estimation method. Results: Broadband access has a negative and significant effect on the unemployment rate. Mean years of school, population, and foreign direct investment also have a negative and significant impact on the unemployment rate. In contrast, the domestic direct investment variable has a positive and significant effect. Conclusion: The availability of broadband access in an area allows easier and faster access to information. The ease of access to such information can affect producing goods and services, encouraging innovation and employment growth, and reducing the unemployment rate. This research recommends that the government intensify the Indonesia Broadband Plan policy to accelerate the development and equitable distribution of broadband access in all regions of Indonesia.

  • The COVID-19 lockdown has had an unprecedented impact on people in various ways. This study evaluates the effect of lockdown repeal from both marketing and public-policy perspectives. Combining the Bayesian multilevel model with the difference-in-differences design, we find that a lockdown repeal has had a negative impact on socialization. Furthermore, the results show that those who have a low level of risk perception are less affected by lockdown repeal. Also, the negative effect of lockdown repeal varies depending on past socialization behaviors; that is, the lockdown-repeal effect is attenuated for those who socialized more than others in the past. Our findings contribute to the intersection of public policy and marketing literature and provide both academic and practical implications.

  • This study examines a model which simultaneously contains two paths between waiting line and purchase intention: one tested the positive effect of waiting line through consumers' perceived quality, whereas another one go through consumers' emotional state to test the negative effect of waiting line on purchase intention. To further understand perceived quality, the study divided perceived quality into perceived product quality and perceived service quality. The study used restaurants in the experiment. Results indicated that although long waits in line will directly increase both consumers' product quality perception and negative emotions, the total indirect effects on purchase intention are still significantly positive. For consumers' perceived service quality, long waiting situations have no such effect on it. Significant results from a moderation analysis also shown that consumers in low-level knowledge settings are more influenced by waiting lines than those in high-level knowledge settings when they make the product's quality-related judgment. However, the level of consumer knowledge does not moderate the relationship between waiting lines and service quality.
