This study estimates the consumption needs of preretired households through target replacement ratio approach. Based on the Life Cycle Model, this study used the household expenditure function to derive the target replacement ratio appropriate for each household. The target replacement ratio is estimated using the 1996 National Survey of family Income and Expenditure by National Statistical Office. The estimated target replacement ratio was 82.4% for married couple households, and 85.1% for single households. Total retirement consumption needs during entire retirement period was 161,620,000 won for married couple households, and 50,532,039 won for single households.

In this study, we propose a virtual community recommendation model based on user behavioral models. It is designed to recommend optimal virtual communities for an active user by applying case-based reasoning (CBR) using behavioral factors suggested in the technology acceptance model (TAM) and its extensions. Also, it is designed to filter its case-base by considering the user's needs type before applying CBR. To test the usefulness of our model, we conduct two-step validation - experimental validation for the collected data, and survey validation for investigating the actual satisfaction level. Experimental results show that our model presents effective recommendation results in an efficient way. In addition, they also show that the information on the user's needs type may generate opportunities for cross-selling other commercial items.

Since the discussion on solving some problems in modern socity began in the late 1990s, the interest in students' character education has increased. This study aims to identify the factors influencing educational needs assessment for character education in Korea. A self-administered survey was obtained from 318 students in a university. Three factors extracted from factor analysis were individual, interpersonal, social character factor. Results showed that the determinants influencing character educations are academic achievement and volunteer activities for individuals character, academic achievement and school activities in campus for interpersonal and social character educational factor. The findings should be of interest to practitioners to develop education programs for students.

The purpose of this study was to examine the satisfaction and needs of female students in Engineering with counseling male professor. Subjects of this study were 92 female students in Engineering from a university in K city. Results of survey showed that women students in Engineering were most satisfied with the usefulness of counseling and next with male professor's attitude as counselor. Counseling needs of female students in Engineering was highest on receiving concrete information on finding a job from counseling and next to it on understanding women students. Results of focus group interview and suggestions for the study in the future were presented respectively.

This research was conducted to analysis the Elementary School Teachers' needs necessary for developing the eco-friendly school farm program. To perform these research problems, 167 people from five Elementary School group (A, B, C, D and E). Of respondents of the survey, 160 questionnaires were significant. The frequency analysis was used with SPSS 17.0 statistics program. Teacher of the needs analysis results are as follows: Teachers want to help school farm program by gardening expert, experienced volunteer. Costs of instructor and material must be supported by the government, local government. Teachers are demanding an integrated program for horticulture. The teachers would have preferred an easy plant to grow and appear in textbooks. Therefore teachers' needs to be a convert-gence in the eco-friendly school farm program manual.

This research was conducted to investigate the voice related needs of occupational voice users. The data collected from teachers(379), tele-marketers(156), therapists(50) was classified according to its content, by colaizzi's inductive categorical analysis. The voice related needs are classified into 3 big categories, 1) how to use, 2) how to care, 3) how to be healthy. Again the category 'how to use' my voice was into 6 sub-categories: (1) efficiently, (2) as I desired, (3) without pain(discomfort), (4) expressively, (5) phonation (methods) and (6) clear articulation. The result showed that the needs from 3 groups of occupational voice users reflect their own environment which they have to use their voice as well as the voice characteristics wanted from their specific listeners.

Purpose: this study was to describe patient learning needs and the relationship between health promoting behavior and health concept with women with disabilities. Methods: A descriptive survey design was used and the SPSS 11.0 program was used for data analysis, which included t-test, ANOVA and Pearson correlation coefficients. The women (n=50) were in-patients in a rehabilitation center. Results: The study results indicate that they had high levels of patient learning needs and the most important information for patient learning needs was support and care. Patient learning need was correlated with health promoting behavior. Conclusions: The findings of this study give useful information to construct further studies in educational programs and rehabilitation nursing care and to support a healthcare system for women with disabilities.

In this research, we have developed a model that can explain the potential customer's needs for the potable Internet service, a concept with 'QoS guaranteed lower-price high speed mobile Internet service. Based on the developed model, we have also derived some empirical implications for the business firms interest in the potable Internet market. The developed model is incorporating a survey result, answering of potential customer's attitude for the portable Internet service, from the subscribers to the Internet service, wireless LAN service, and mobile Internet service. As a result, we have found that a very innovative group, such as wireless LAN users and 20's age group using mobile Internet service, could be the most attractive market segment. Moreover, the aspects of the service coverage and the price competitiveness at the service launching stage could be the most critical success factors for the portable Internet service.

College and university foodservice dietitians have to be competent for playing a role as the future food service executive as well as the present foodservice administrator in the promising foodservice industry field. The study conducted a survey to examine training needs corresponding to educational contents for the purpose of helping them acquire a new knowledge related to self-development and duty through educational training. The results of this study suggested that training needs were differed by general characteristics of dietitians, operational characteristics of food services, and training subjects. A future study should develop systematic training strategies for dietitians.

시장의 니즈(Needs)에 기반 한 일종의 기술기획 프로세스로서, 시장이나 제품의 요구사항을 충족시키기 위해 필요한 기술적 대안들을 규명, 선택 및 개발할 수 있도록 도와주며, 미래에 요구되는 성능목표(Performance Target)와 이의 달성을 위해 필요한 활동이나 기술대안을 시간축에 따라 표현하는 기술로드맵의 개념을 구체적으로 살펴보고, 문헌조사와 사례연구 등을 바탕으로 다양한 기준으로기술 로드맵의 분류 및 활용사례를 분석한다. 또한 기술로드맵 작성절차에 대해서도 자세히 논의한다.
