The purpose of this study is to analyze the statistical data to get the government to have positive recognition of education for middle-aged and aged people about provision for old age after retirement and present a model of policy direction of realistic elderly education for middle-aged and aged people and an ideal program for middle-aged and aged people in Korea. Such an empirical research obtained the following results. First, as for effects of recognition of the need of elderly education and the desire to participate in elderly education on provision for retirement, the need of elderly education and the desire to participate in elderly education were found to have effects. Second, as for effects of the level of retirement expectation on provision for retirement, new departure, career completion, and continuous expectation were found to have effects. Third, as for mediating effects of retirement expectation in terms of effects of recognition of the need of elderly education and the level of desire for participation, the need of elderly education has retirement expectation partly affect physical, psychological, and economic preparation. As for the desire to participate in elderly education, expectation of retirement had completely mediating effects on physical preparation and partly mediating effects on psychological and economic preparation. Fourth, the need of elderly education, the desire for participation, retirement expectation, and recognition of provision for retirement by general properties were found to have statistically significant results in terms of gender, age, occupation, and educational background.
Based on the perception that integrated retirement preparation in various areas is needed in preparation for increased old age, this study aims to identify the status and characteristics of retirement preparation of middle-aged people and reveal the relationship with successful aging. In addition, it aims to find out the mediating effect of social support in the relationship between retirement preparation and successful aging for the middle-aged. To confirm this, 1,037 men and women aged 50 to 64 who responded to the third, fourth, and fifth additional surveys of the Korean Retirement & Income Study (KReIS) conducted by the National Pension Research Institute were analyzed. When the preparation of middle-aged people for retirement affects successful aging, bootstrapping with IBM SPSS 26 Process Macro Model 4 was conducted to verify the mediating effect of social support. As a result of verifying the significance of independent variables on the parameters, preparation for retirement was positively (+) significant. In other words, it was verified that the higher the preparation for retirement, the higher the social support. Furthermore, it was discovered that social support, an independent variable, had a significant impact on successful aging, and social support, an independent variable, had a significant impact on successful aging. The results of this study suggest the need for social support for successful aging through the preparation of middle-aged people for retirement. It is intended to derive policy implications for preparing for retirement and provide them as basic data to increase the level of successful aging.
This study was conducted to review the mediating effects of retirement preparation in how the degree of requirements for retirement education and the degree of preparation for retirement education affects quality of life, and how the degree of participation in retirement education which is a moderating variable is moderated. The study findings show that first, in terms of the difference in quality of life across different general characteristics, those who live in a city rather than a Gun, those who had received education of graduate school or higher rather than those with an education of undergraduate university programs or lower, those who were public officers or employees of corporations rather than those who were self-employed had a higher quality of life. The group satisfied with their economic status and health status were found to be more satisfied with their quality of life. Second, a correlation analysis showed that there was a positive correlation between retirement preparation, quality of life, and degree of requirements for retirement preparation. Moreover, there was also a positive correlation between quality of life, retirement education and the degree of requirements for retirement education. There was a positive correlation between retirement education and the degree of requirements for retirement preparation. Third, participation in retirement education moderated the indirect effect that the degree of preparation for retirement education affected quality of life through the degree of retirement preparation. In other words, the degree of requirements for retirement education affects retirement preparation and affects quality of life through the indirect effects of retirement education. As such, the moderated mediating effects of retirement education on retirement preparation was found to be greater. This indicates that quality of life may also vary in accordance with the requirements for retirement education.

Many pre-retirees worry that their retirement savings may not generate enough income in retirement, and the level of benefits paid in public pension is inadequate. Second, they are preparing for retirement in the areas of finance, health, working after retirement and social activity. Third, they are realistic and practical in retirement decisions makings. they are considering household budget downsizing, cutting education costs, the low-waged job choice and cash flow preference in retirement. The safety and reality in preparation for retirement are top considerations. This study was conducted on 1,174 retirees in their 50s and 60s nationwide using the 7th data of the National Pension Service's National Elderly Security Panel Survey. We were able to confirm the following results through the SPSS WIN 18.0 program.. First, men showed a higher level of education than women. From these results, it is expected that men will be better prepared for retirement. Second, men had spouses and two or more household members than women. According to previous studies showing that men are better prepared for retirement if they have a spouse, it is expected that men are better prepared for retirement. Second, 38% of men and 62% of women were voluntary retirees. Third, both men and women responded that their own and spouses should play the main role in preparing for retirement. Fourth, both men and women had very low rates of preparation for old age, economic independence, and public and private pensions. Among them, women were lower than men. Fifth, economic problem solving, health, and medical care were the priority as parts to be done for retirement in oneself and society. Based on these results, the directions for preparing retirees for retirement are as follows. First, education on wage peak system, retirement age extension and financial management for involuntary retirees is required, and guidance and management methods on health care and disease should be provided to address needs for health and health care. Women had more voluntary retirees than men, and they need to know why. Second, when both men and women are very poor at preparing for retirement, there should be job creation measures to ensure that they and their spouses are fully prepared for retirement.
This study was designed to examine the demographic, economic and organizational characteristics of wage peak workers in public enterprises and their relationship between wage peak system and retirement, which is faster than other areas where the number of elderly workers is growing. The study targets 211 wage peak workers in 19 public enterprises engaged in the wage peak system, considering the level of aging and the size of wage peak workers. According to the demographic and economic characteristics, the results of the study showed that the education level, household income, post retirement cost, retirement saving and investment amount had an effect on wage peak satisfaction, wage peak acceptance, retirement preparation and retirement attitude. Next, aspects of organizational characteristics, there were differences according to position, job title, working period, remaining retirement age, participation in retirement preparation program and wage peak application. Based on these findings, effective wage peak system for the aged society was required to discuss the need for follow-up research by job group, position rank, economic level, and educational level of aged people such as welfare, education and former support.
The graying of populations is emerging as an international issue around the world, and this is a problem that is rapidly advancing in Korea as well, signaling the need for financial preparations for the aged. For this purpose, various retirement pension systems are being employed as preparatory measures for the nation's elderly. Using data from 1474 people in the 2007 panel study of National Security for the Retired, the present work attempts to look at satisfaction rates with regard to public pension receipts for the national pension and special occupational pensions according to general characteristics and factors related to the preparation for an aging society. Satisfaction with retirement pension receipts according to the type of pension was high for special occupation retirement pensions, individual retirement pensions and the national retirement pension, in that order. Looking at satisfaction rates based on the general characteristics of pension recipients, the study revealed that for the national pension, satisfaction was highest for groups with above-average physical and psychological health, groups who think appropriate living expenses for the elderly are lower, groups in which a partner also earns income, and groups who had amply prepared for their expected living expenses in later life. Regarding special occupation retirement pensions, satisfaction was high for groups over the age of 70, groups with good psychological health, and groups sufficiently prepared for their living expenses in later expenses, compared to groups for which these factors did not apply. In terms of the relative influences impacting retirement pension recipient satisfaction, satisfaction with the national pension was highest when the primary source to cover elderly living expenses was a resource other than income earned by the recipient and their partner and/or income received from children. Concerning special occupation retirement pensions, satisfaction was highest among those whose education terminated before middle school, and for those in good physical health. Based on the above results, it is vital that plans exist for preparing sufficiently for the living expenses of the elderly and for facilitating the physical and psychological health of pension recipients. Plans are also necessary to, ensure that citizens are provided with easily accessible educational programs and activities regarding general installment savings and deposits, stocks and bonds, real estate investments, individual retirement pensions, private insurance, severance pay pensions, and public pensions.

This study was conducted on 878 retired women in their 50s and 60s across the country using the 7th data from the National Pension Service's KReiS. We used SPSS WIN 18.0, and the analysis results are as follows. First, there were many highly educated people in their 50s or older and those in their 60s and undereducated. Second, families in their 50s had the largest number of members with more than three, while households in their 60s had the largest number of two. Third, both age groups chose themselves and their spouses as responsibilities for preparing for retirement. In addition, more people in their 60s chose the government as their responsibility for preparing for retirement than in their 50s. Both people in their 50s and 60s say they are "not prepared" to prepare for retirement expenses, raising concerns about elderly poverty. Fourth, economic strength, health, and medical care were important for retirement in both age groups as part of their preparations for retirement, and they chose economic strength, health, medical care and job as the things to do in society. Fifth, both people in their 50s and 60s have very low public and private pension subscription rates, requiring special attention from the government and society to their old age. Judging from the above results, both women in their 50s and 60s have retired, but preparations for retirement are very insufficient. Therefore, the government and society need to strengthen the public pension system and create jobs for the elderly.
