근접장 기록을 위한 디스크의 광학적 특성 (Optical characteristics of discs for near-filed recording)

  • In this paper, we investigate field distribution and interference pattern in the exit pupil and in the focal region. Also, we compare with metal and dielectric substrate for near-field recording. To obtain field distribution, we use modified vector diffraction theory and Zernike Polynomials. Finally, we design and optimize refractive index and thickness of disk for near-field surface recording and cover-layer incident recording.

스위칭 IC의 근접 자계 분포 예측 (Prediction of Near Magnetic Field Distribution of Switching ICs)

  • 본 논문은 회로 시뮬레이션과 전자기 시뮬레이션을 병행하여 디지털 스위칭 회로가 실장된 PCB 상의 근접 자계 분포를 예측하는 방법을 제시한다. 제안 방법은 스위칭 회로의 신호 및 전원 포트를 정현 전원으로 구동하여 규격화된 근접 자계 분포를 구하고, 이 결과를 실제 스위칭 회로에 의한 전류의 주파수 스펙트럼으로 가중하여 근접 자계를 예측한다. 예측 방법론을 검증하기 위해 링 발진기와 출력 버퍼로 구성된 스위칭 집적 회로를 제작하고, 칩-온-보드(Chip On Board, 칩-온-보드) 형태로 평가하였다. 자계 프로브를 이용하여 PCB상에서 표면 자계 분포를 측정하였으며, 시뮬레이션 결과와 비교하였다. 측정 결과와 시뮬레이션 계산 결과는 5차 하모닉 주파수까지 10 dB 이내로 일치함을 확인하였다.

Near-field Characterization on Light Emanated from Subwavelength Plasmonic Double Slit of Finite Length

  • Near-field properties of light emanated from a subwavelength double slit of finite length in a thin metal film, which is essential for understanding fundamental physical mechanisms for near-field optical beam manipulations and various potential nanophotonic device applications, is investigated by using a three-dimensional finite-difference time-domain method. Near-field intensity distribution along the propagation direction of light after passing through the slit has been obtained from the phase relation of transverse electric and magnetic fields and the wave impedance. It is found that the near field of emerged light from the both slits is evanescent, that is consistent with conventional surface plasmon localization near the metal surface. Due to the finite of the slit, the amplitude of this evanescent field does not monotonically approach to than of the infinite slit as the slit length increases, i.e. the near-field of the longer slit along the center line can be weaker than that of the shorter one.

근접 영역용 900MHz RFID 리더기 안테나에 관한 연구 (A Study on a Near-Field Reader Antenna for 900 MHz RFID)

  • 본 논문에서는 근접 영역에 적용할 수 있는 새로운 900 MHz RFID 리더기 안테나에 대한 연구 결과를 제안한다. 본 논문에서 제안된 안테나는 주기성을 갖는 마이크로 스트립 안테나 구조를 사용하였다. 안테나의 크기는 $313mm{\times}152mm{\times}14mm$ 이다. 안테나의 성능은 근접영역에서 균일한 전계 분포를 갖고, 안테나의 이득은 -2 dBi 이고 하트 모양의 빔 패턴을 가진다. 제안된 안테나는 리더기의 송신출력이 17 dBm에서 23 dBm까지의 범위를 보인다. 본 논문에서 제안된 안테나는 금속면 위에 태그가 선적이 될 때 태그의 금속성분으로 인한 반사전력을 최소화하고 외부로 방사되는 전력을 최소화하여 오인식을 최소화하였다.

근접장-분자반응 간의 중첩을 이용한 표면 플라스몬 공명 센서 감도 평가에 관한 연구 (Near-field Evaluation of Surface Plasmon Resonance Biosensor Sensitivity Based on the Overlap Between Field and Target Distribution)

  • 본 논문에서는 근접장-분자반응 간의 중첩을 이용한 표면 플라스몬 공명 (SPR) 바이오센서의 측정감도 평가방법을 연구하였다. 전달행렬 방법을 사용하여 다양한 형태의 중첩적분으로 정의된 광학자취 값을 계산하였고, 샌드위치 및 역샌드위치 면역글로뷸린 (IgG) 어세이에 대해서 실험적으로 측정된 수치와 비교하였다. 이론 및 실험적인 결과와의 비교를 통하여 접선 방향의 전기장을 사용한 광학자취의 경우 그 연속성으로 말미암아 가장 높은 상관계수를 얻을 수 있었으며 이때 광학자취와 측정감도 사이에 97% 이상의 높은 상관계수가 존재함을 보았다. 이러한 상관관계는 SPR 바이오센서의 측정 감도에 관한 메커니즘을 분명하게 설명하며, 분자 스케일 감도를 가지는 SPR 바이오센서 개발에 기여하게 될 것이다.

근접전계 시험 기법을 활용한 Ka-대역 배열안테나 성능 검증 (Performance verification of Ka-Band Array Antenna using Near-Field Test Method)

  • 본 논문에서는 근접전계 시험을 수행하여 Ka 대역 밀리미터파 탐색기용 도파관 광벽 슬롯 배열 안테나의 성능 검증을 수행하였다. 슬롯 배열 안테나의 측정은 원전계, 근접전계 시험을 모두 수행하고 비교하여 밀리미터파 대역의 근접전계 시험의 유효성을 확인하였다. 검증을 수행한 슬롯 배열 안테나의 빔폭 및 부엽 준위를 포함한 빔 패턴 특성이 동일함을 확인하였다. 방위각, 고각 빔패턴의 부엽준위 차이는 1dB 이내로 검증되었다. 추가로 back-projection 기법을 활용하여 근접전계 데이터를 가공한 후 안테나 개구면의 분포를 새롭게 추출하여 배열 안테나 성능 분석을 수행하는 방법에 대하여 소개하였다.

Numerical investigation of glass windows under near-field blast

  • The determination of the blast protection level and the corresponding minimum load-bearing capacity for a laminated glass (LG) window is of crucial importance for safety and security design purposes. In this paper, the focus is given to the window response under near-field blast loading, i.e., where relatively small explosives would be activated close to the target, representative of attack scenarios using small commercial drones. In general, the assessment of the load-bearing capacity of a window is based on complex and expensive experiments, which can be conducted for a small number of configurations. On the other hand, nowadays, validated numerical simulations tools based on the Finite Element Method (FEM) are available to partially substitute the physical tests for the assessment of the performance of various LG systems, especially for the far-field blast loading. However, very little literature is available on the LG window performance under near-field blast loads, which differs from far-field situations in two points: i) the duration of the load is very short, since the blast wavelength tends to increase with the distance and ii) the load distribution is not uniform over the window surface, as opposed to the almost plane wave configuration for far-field configurations. Therefore, the current study focuses on the performance assessment and structural behaviour of LG windows under near-field blasts. Typical behavioural trends are investigated, by taking into account possible relevant damage mechanisms in the LG window components, while size effects for target LG windows are also addressed under a multitude of blast loading configurations.

비대칭분류의 노즐출구영역에서의 난류유동장 해석 (The Near Field Structure of Initially Asymmetic Jets)

  • The near field structure of round turbulent jets with initially asymmetric velocity distribution is investigated experimentally. Experiments were carried out using a constant temperature hot-wire anemometry system to measure streamwise velocity in the jets. The measurements were undertaken across the jet at various streamwise stations in a range starting from the jet exit plane and up to a downstream location of twelve diameters. The experimental results include the distribution of mean and instantaneous velocities, vorticity field, turbulence intensity, and the Reynolds shear stress. The asymmetry of the jet exit plane was obtained by using circular cross-section pipes with a bend at the upstream of the exit. Three pipes were used for this study: A straight pipe, 90 and 160 degree-bended pipes. Therefore, at the upstream of the pipe exit, the secondary flow through the bend and the mean streamwise velocity distribution could be controlled by changing the curvature of pipes.

  • Measurement technique of three dimensional electric field distribution in liquid dielectrics have been studied. Kerr effect and computed tomography(CT) method have been used. Measuring time has been shortened by the use of multi-optical systems to less than several milliseconds. Near future, electric field distribution in front of a streamer tip of breakdown would be measured.

장미형확산관 형태의 해양방류시스템의 혼합특성 연구 (A Study on Mixing Characteristics of Ocean Outfall System with Rosette Diffuser)

  • The hybrid model can be used to predict the initial near field mixing and the far field transport of the buoyant jets, which are discharged from the submerged wastewater ocean outfall. In the near field, the jet integral model can be used for single port diffusers while the ${\sigma}$ transformed particle tracking model was used in the far field. In this study, the experimental study was performed to verify the developed hybrid model in the previous research. The developed hybrid model properly predict the surface and vertical concentration distribution of the single buoyant jets with various effluent and ambient conditions. The hybrid model can also simulate the surface concentration distribution of the rosette diffuser except for the parallel diffuser with the higher densimetric Froude number due to the assumption that dynamic effects of the effluent plumes are negligible in the far field. The application of the hybrid model to rosette diffusers can predict the concentration near the diffuser more accurately when the line-plume approximation is used.
