방사능 수치 오염 지도 작성을 위한 방사선 계측 시스템 연구 (Study of Radiation Mapping System for Water Contamination in Water System)

  • As nuclear industry has been developed, a various types of radiological contamination has occurred. After 9.11 terror in U.S.A., it has been concerned that terrorists' active area has been enlarged to use nuclear or radioactive substance. Recently, the most powerful earth-quake stroke, which triggered a massive tsunami in Japan and then Fukushima nuclear power plant reactor has suffered from a serious accident in history. The Fukushima reactor accident has occurred an anxiety of radiation leaks and about 170,000 people have been evacuated from the accidental area near the nuclear power plant. For these reasons, a social chaos can be occurred if radiological contamination occurs to the supply system for the drinking water. As such, the establishment of the radiation monitoring system for the city main water system is compelling for the national security. In this study, a feasibility test of radiation monitoring system which consists of unified hybrid-type radiation detectors was experimented for multi detection system by using gamma-ray imaging. The hybrid-type radiation sensors were fabricated with CsI(Tl) scintillators and photodiodes. A preamplifier and amplifier was also fabricated and assembled with the sensor in the shielding case. For the preliminary test of detection of radiological contamination in the river, multi CsI(Tl)-PIN photodiode radiation detectors and $^{137}Cs$ gamma-ray source were used. The DAQ was done by Linux based ROOT program and NI DAQ system with Labview program. The simulated contamination was assumed to be occurred at Gapcheon river in Daejeon city. Multi CsI(Tl)-PIN photodiode radiation detectors were positioned at the Gapcheon river side. Assuming that the radiological contaminations flows in the river the $^{137}Cs$ gamma-ray source has been moved and then, the contamination region was reconstructed.

  • 본 논문은 자율 주행차량의 운행과 더불어 기존 차량 사고 방지를 위한 차량 간 통신 기술, 자율주행 기술, 브레이크 자동 제어 기술, 인공지능 기술 등이 널리 개발되고 있다. 차량 사고 발생이 일어나더라도 사망이나 부상을 최소화하기 위한 각종 기술들의 안전성의 상용화에 있다. 본 논문의 경우 자율주행 차량시, 안전성 확보연구이다. 이는 일반적인 저전력 근거리 무선 통신용 칩 신호나 초소형 도로 AI 장착 등의 공간적 요소에 따라 판별한다. 반면 본 논문은 상기 전자 칩의 신호를 읽는 데에서 생체 전자 칩까지의 "감지영역 내 체류 시간인식, 민감도"까지 체크하여 승차한 안전의 신뢰성을 높인다. 실제 세계 각국의 신뢰성을 실증한 결과로서, 안전성면에서 탑승객 전원의 안전 자율 시스템을 유도한다. 무인 자율차량 탑승과 상용화는 가까운 미래에 도로위 IoT의 AI 시스템과 생체 칩(Verification emotion + Chip)으로의 연계성면에서 그 진보성의 실증결과, 세계 각국의 안전 기술신뢰성은 더욱 부각된다.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the cause of repeated accidents through the investigation and analysis of the collapse cases of domestic earthquakes in order to prevent the earthquake disaster in the urban redevelopment and reconstruction. It is designed and constructed to draw out various problem factors and to find solutions to these problems. And the contents related to various laws and systems of the construction project management stage. Especially. In the management of the construction management centered on the safety management and quality control of the technical aspect design, supervision, construction phase through the cause of the accident and improvement measures based on the investigation report of the collapse of the construction site near Sangdo Kindergarten in Seoul. Supervisor. And constructors should be settled on the responsibility and responsibility of God. In order to achieve the purpose of the project, a system is established to link worker-centered occupational safety and health management with technology-based safety construction management, and analysis of how the quality control of the earthquake prevention affects safety construction management The purpose of this study is to prepare the optimum management plan of construction business.As a result of this study, it is aimed to accomplish the purpose of small scale redevelopment and reconstruction construction project by providing optimization method in the stage of construction project management in order to prevent collapse caused by differences in design,Is expected.

드론센싱자료와 식생지수를 활용한 환경피해범위 산출 정확도 평가 (Accuracy Assessment of Environmental Damage Range Calculation Using Drone Sensing Data and Vegetation Index)

  • 본 연구는 사고현장에서 화학물질로 인해 발생한 사고지점의 피해면적을 식생지수로 산출하는 방안을 연구하였다. 자료수집은 두 종류의 드론을 활용하였으며, 사진측량기법을 적용한 3차원 점군자료에서 피해면적을 산출하였다. 다중분광센서의 분광대역 정보를 활용하여 제작한 정사영상을 토대로 식생지수 영상을 제작하였고, 임계값에 따른 피해면적의 결과로 사고현장에 대한 통계를 분석하였다. 근적외선 밴드 기반의 식생지수 Kappa 값은 0.79, 녹색 밴드 기반의 식생지수는 0.76으로 화학물질사고 조사현장에서 식생지수를 활용한 피해면적 분석 방법을 활용할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

평택시 군용비행장 주변지역 주민건강조사 (Study on the Health Status of the Residents near Military Airbases in Pyeongtaek City)

  • Objectives : We conducted an epidemiologic survey to evaluate the effect of the aircraft noise exposure on the health of the residents near the military airbases in Pyeongtaek City. Methods : The evaluation of environmental noise level, questionnaire survey, and health examination were performed for 917 residents. The study population consisted of four groups: subjects who lived in the village close to the fighter airbase (high exposure), subjects who lived along the course of fighters (intermediate exposure), and subjects near a helicopter airbase, and the control group. Results : The prevalence of the aircraft noise related accident and irritable bowel syndrome in the exposure groups were higher than that of the control group. The risks of noise induced hearing loss, hypertension and diabetes mellitus were higher in the exposed groups than in the control group. The prevalence of anxiety disorder and primary insomnia were higher in the exposed groups than in the control group. Prevalence odd ratios of the risk for primary insomnia after adjusting age, sex, agricultural noise, and occupation were 4.03 [95% confidence interval (95% Cl) 1.56-10.47] for the subject near the helicopter airbase, 1.23 (95% Cl 0.40-3.76) for those intermediately exposed to fighter noise, and 4.99 (95% Cl 2.14-11.64) for those highly exposed to fighter noise. Conclusions : The results of the present study suggest that the aircraft noise may have adverse effects on hearing function, cardiovascular health and mental health. Therefore, it seems to be needed to take proper measures including the control of the aircraft noise and the management of the exposed people's health.

Preliminary numerical study on hydrogen distribution characteristics in the process that flow regime transits from jet to buoyancy plume in time and space

  • Hydrogen-steam gas mixture may be injected into containment with flow regime varying both spatially and transiently due to wall effect and pressure difference between primary loop and containment in severe accidents induced by loss of coolant accident. Preliminary CFD analysis is conducted to gain information about the helium flow regime transition process from jet to buoyancy plume for forthcoming experimental study. Physical models of impinging jet and wall condensation are validated using separated effect experimental data, firstly. Then helium transportation is analyzed with the effect of jet momentum, buoyancy and wall cooling discussed. Result shows that helium distribution is totally dominated by impinging jet in the beginning, high concentration appears near gas source and wall where jet momentum is strong. With the jet weakening, stable light gas layer without recirculating eddy is established by buoyancy. Transient reversed helium distribution appears due to natural convection resulted from wall cooling, which delays the stratification. It is necessary to concern about hydrogen accumulation in lower space under the containment external cooling strategy. From the perspective of experiment design, measurement point should be set at the height of connecting pipe and near the wall for stratification stability criterion and impinging jet modelling validation.

Numerical Model Test of Spilled Oil Transport Near the Korean Coasts Using Various Input Parametric Models

  • Oil spills pose significant threats to marine ecosystems, human health, socioeconomic aspects, and coastal communities. Accurate real-time predictions of oil slick transport along coastlines are paramount for quick preparedness and response efforts. This study used an open-source OpenOil numerical model to simulate the fate and trajectories of oil slicks released during the 2007 Hebei Spirit accident along the Korean coasts. Six combinations of input parameters, derived from a five-day met-ocean dataset incorporating various hydrodynamic, meteorological, and wave models, were investigated to determine the input variables that lead to the most reasonable results. The predictive performance of each combination was evaluated quantitatively by comparing the dimensions and matching rates between the simulated and observed oil slicks extracted from synthetic aperture radar (SAR) data on the ocean surface. The results show that the combination incorporating the Hybrid Coordinate Ocean Model (HYCOM) for hydrodynamic parameters exhibited more substantial agreement with the observed spill areas than Copernicus Marine Environment Monitoring Service (CMEMS), yielding up to 88% and 53% similarity, respectively, during a more than four-day oil transportation near Taean coasts. This study underscores the importance of integrating high-resolution met-ocean models into oil spill modeling efforts to enhance the predictive accuracy regarding oil spill dynamics and weathering processes.

Characteristics of Pediatric and Adolescent Trauma-Database Review of Single Level Trauma Center in Gangwon Province

  • Purpose: Although trauma is the most common cause of death under age 18, Korean national pediatric trauma data has lack of clinical data. This study is to prepare manpower resources, equipment, and make a correct policy decision on pediatric trauma victims Methods: The study enrolled 528 patients under age 16 with traumatic injury visited Wonju Severance Christian Hostpital Trauma Center, from February 12, 2015 to December 31, 2016. We analyzed the distribution of gender, age, place and time of the accident, injury mechanism, injury severity, and injured organ by medical record. Results: The major injury mechanisms were blunt injury in 485 (91.90%), penetrating injury in 27 (5.10%), burn in 13 (2.50%), near drowning in 2 (0.40%), and foreign body ingestion in 1 (0.20%). Ninety-seven (18.4%) patients were injured at home and 67 (12.7%) patients were injured at school. The overall mortality rate was 1.13% (n=6). 5 mortalities were related to automobile accident and one was fall down. Mean Injury Severity Score (ISS) was 4 (2, 8). No statistical significance was observed in the mean ISS between each age group. The peak time of accident occurrence was between 16 and 17 o'clock. The mean ISS was higher in blunt injury group than penetrating injury with statistical significance ($6.50{\pm}7.60$ vs. $3.00{\pm}8.10$; p<0.05). The most common injury site was upper extremity. Mean ISS was highest in thorax injury. However, mean ISS of thorax injury was higher with statistical significance only compared with face, neck and upper extremity injury. Conclusions: We reported our pediatric trauma patients data of our hospital level I trauma center, which is the only one level I trauma center of Gangwon Province. These data is useful to prevent and prepare for pediatric trauma.

확률론적 기법을 활용한 건설현장 외부 인명피해 정량화 모델 개발 (Quantification Model Development of Human Accidents on External Construction Site by Applying Probabilistic Method)

  • 현재까지의 건설 안전관리와 리스크에 관한 연구들은 건설현장 내부(근로자)에 한정되어 있어 건설현장 외부(제 3자)에 대한 연구는 미비한 실정이다. 그 결과, 건설현장 주변의 일반인들이 피해를 받고 있으며 산재 다발이라는 부정적인 이미지로 언론이나 일반 대중들에게 투영되고 있다. 일반 대중들에게 부정적인 이미지를 탈피하기 위해서는 건설현장 내부(공종, 건축물)에만 집중되어있는 기존의 안전관리가 아닌 건설 현장 외부(제 3자)에 대해서도 고려된 종합적 안전관리체계를 구축해야 한다. 이에 본 연구에서는 건설 현장 외부(제 3자)의 인명사고 리스크를 정량화하고 몬테카를로 시뮬레이션을 활용하여 리스크가 어떻게 변화할 것인지 예측하고자 한다. 이를 위하여 첫째, 선행연구를 고찰하여 불안전한 상태와 인명사고 발생형태를 정의한다. 둘째, 14년 간 건설현장 외부에서 발생한 제 3자 인명 손해배상액 데이터를 수집한다. 셋째, 수집된 데이터의 사고내용을 분석하여 사고 발생분석 모델을 설정한다. 넷째, 리스크 정량화 모델을 구축하고 불안전한 상태, 인명사고 발생형태별 사고발생확률과 손해배상액 확률분포를 제시한다. 마지막으로 몬테카를로 시뮬레이션을 통해 도출된 사고 형태별 분포결과를 분석한다. 본 연구의 결과는 향후 건설현장 내 외부 안전관리 체크리스트 개발 및 인명사고 예측 관리 시스템 개발의 참고 자료로 활용될 것으로 기대된다.

액체로켓의 연소안정을 위한 유량공급에 관한 실험적 연구 (A Study on the Flow Control for Stable Combustion of Liquid Rocket)

  • In liquid rocket engine, propellant feed rate is proportional to approximately square root of the pressure difference between injector head and combustion chamber. This ΔP depends on the engine design, but in general on the order of 50psi. However, during ignition period, especially for the pressurized feed system, combustion chamber pressure is almost atmospheric and large ΔP causes over flow of propellants which may lead to catastrophic accident due to hard start. Hard start may be prevented by applying cavitating venturi or/and two step ignition. In cavitating venturi, evaporated propellants near the venturi throat become chocked and flow rate depends on only upstream condition. In two step ignition propellants are supplied to the liquid engine in two different flow rate. First step, to avoid hard start, small amount of propellants are supplied to build up chamber pressure in safe zone, then full propellants to ensure design pressure. In this study, both cavitating venturi and two step ignition method were used for the hot test and hard start problem was completely solved.
