Waterfront Development Project Pattern Analysis of the Coastal Zone Management of the Osaka Bay

  • Study of the background and state of Osaka's waterfront space development and analysis of the functions of 22 chosen major facilities of development project reveals the following four types: amenity-oriented development, large-scale synthesis type development, renewal compound area type development, exchange communication promotion type development. Osaka bay area has served primely as the base of harbors, industry and energy, while analysis of the ongoing project has found that the city has been making a functional transition to a type of development to live up to the needs of the times, suggesting that is wise that Korea's future direction of waterfront development be oriented toward environmental-friendly development by taking advantage of low-density area's natural resources. Given the plurality and complexity of the law of coastal zone, what is needed is a legal maintenance for coastal zone's clear-cut coordinating function and for environmental-friendly development with the limitations of seaside and coastal functions in mind.

Collision Avoiding Navigation of Marine Vehicles Using Fuzzy Logic

  • A fuzzy logic for collision avoiding navigation of marine vehicles is proposed in this paper. VFF(Virtual Force Field) method, which is used widely in the field of mobile robots, is modifiel to apply to marine vehicles. The method is named MVFF (Modified Virtual Force Field) mothod. The MVFF consists of the determination of the heading angles far track-keeping mode ($\psi_{ca}$)and collision avoidance mode ($\psi_{ca}$). The operator can choose the pattern of the track-keeping mode in the proposed algorithm. The collision avoidance algorithm can handle static and/or moving obstacles. These functons are implemented using fuzzy logic. Various simulation results verify the proposed alogorithm.

The Properties of Open-Ended Meander Slot Antenna and its Applications to Antenna Design

  • The various properties such as the electric current distribution, resonant frequency and radiation patterns of open-ended meander slot antenna placed on a small ground plane, are investigated to give the help in performing antenna design. Based upon these characteristics, the designed antenna which is only 22mm($0.06{\lambda}_g$) in height and 31mm($0.09{\lambda}_g$) in width can operate at the 433 MHz with the measured radiation efficiency of 8% and end-fire radiation pattern. These properties make the antenna suitable for the handheld device such as the wireless remote controller.

  • In this study, we investigated the electromagnetic properties of Mn-Zn ferrite doped with rare earth oxide (Dy$_2$O$_3$, Er$_2$O$_3$). The main composition is 52mo1% $\alpha$-Fe$_2$O$_3$, 25mo1% Mn$_3$O$_4$23mo1% ZnO and doped with them(0.05wt%~0.25wt%, step:0.05wt%). An experimental process has advanced by conventional ferrimagnetism manufacturing that was prepared by standard ceramic techniques. The XRD pattern of all doped sample were observed spinel and secondary phase. The density of sample were measured nearly constant value. As increased the additive, resistivity, initial permeability and real component of the series complex permeability increased with setting limits each other. In case of Mn-Zn ferrite excess doped with them, resistivity, initial permeability and real component of the series complex permeability decreased and magnetic loss increased in proportion to increasing the additive.

계획항로를 활용한 해상교통관제사 의사결정 지원 방안

  • 선박의 선위 추측(DR, Dead Reckoning)은 수신되거나 측정된 위치 데이터와 속력, 침로 데이터만을 반영하여 계산하므로 대양의 항해나 연근해의 해역에서는 유효할 수 있으나 침로의 변경과 선속의 변화가 잦은 항계 내의 조선에 있어서는 적용이 어렵다는 문제점이 있다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 선박의 추측위치(DRP, Dead Reckoning Position)는 선박의 운항 패턴에 따라 항계 내의 항적 데이터를 수집하고, 수신된 위치 데이터와 속력, 침로 데이터를 점장위도항법(Mercator Sailing)을 통하여 계획항로(Planned Route)의 각 변침점(WP, Waypoint)간 침로(Course)와 항정(Ship's Passage)에 반영하였다. 제안된 추측위치 산출방법을 통하여 항계 내의 조선과정에서 계획항로를 선박의 추측위치와 결합하여 특정 시간 후의 상황패턴을 미리 예측하고 관제사의 의사결정에 기여하고자 한다.

  • Water waves propagate over irregular bottom bathymetry are transformed by refraction, diffraction, shoaling, reflection etc. Principal factor of wave transform is bottom bathymetry, but in case of current field, current is another important factor which effect wave transformation. The governing equation of this study is develop as wave-current equation type to investigate the effect of wave-current interaction. This wave-current model was applied to the Kwangan beach which is located at Pusan. The numerical simulation results of this model show the characteristics of wave transformation and flow pattern around the Kwangan beach fairly well.

  • This study aims at advancing waterfront of Pusan Port and attempting to establish an identity through studying characteristics of place in Pusan Port. The place is consisted of two elements ; orientation and identity, which is expressed clearly the environmental totality including the character and space. The urban waterfront is also one of the place pattern, and that is consist of land area, water area, and transit zone combining two areas. Although there are a lot of primary factors to be able to make the most of the character and identity in Pusan port, badly planned development prevents the plan promoting the sense of place in urban waterfront. The point in the waterfront development plan of Pusan Port is how to secure aminities based on Identity and Orientation; node, landmark, edge, path, district. The result of this study is for planners to develop more and systematic approaches which could utilize waterfront.

  • 본 논문에서는 WLAN 대역과 WiMax 대역에서 통신을 가능하게 하기 위한 다중대역 프랙탈 마이크로스트립 패치 안테나를 설계 및 제작하였다. 제안된 안테나는 다중공진을 위해 공진주파수, 임피던스정합, 극성 및 방사패턴을 훌륭히 제어할 수 있으며 다중 독립 주파수를 만족시키기 위한 세 개의 반원의 프랙탈 패치를 삽입하였다. 제안된 구조는 반원의 프랙탈 구조가 연속적으로 이루어져 있는 형태의 안테나로써 하나의 반원이 하나의 대역을 나타내고 있다.

  • In this paper, we propose a human model for analysis for human work pattern or human fault, where a gantry crane simulator is used to survey the property of human operation. From the input and output of gantry crane response, we make a human operation model by using conventional ARX identification method. For identify the human model, we assume the eight inputs and two outputs. By using the input/output data, we estimate the parameters of ARX of the human system model. For verify the proposed method, we compared the real data with the modeled data, where three kinds of work trajectory path are used.

초음파 펄스 도플러 속도계의 성능 개선에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Improvement in Performance of Ultrasonic Pulsed Doppler Velocimeter)

  • In the velocimeter, the ultrasonic pulse signal is used for measuring the profile velocity of moving targets distributed in space because of the merits of its high distance resolution and harmless affect to the human body. The velocity reading in conventional ultrasonic pulsed velocimeter depends on the wave pattern reflecting the spatial distribution of scatters and includes observational error due to the signal processing of analyzing pulse signal. In this paper, we evaluate an influence of the received waveform of pulsed signal on the velocity information by setting a model. Subsequently, in order to improve the distance resolution and to obtain precise velocity information without the influence of the spatial distribution of scatterers, we propose a new method for the analysis of Doppler pulsed signal, in which the pulsed signal is transformed into a phase function with local data. Finally, it is confirmed that the performance of the velocimeter is more improved in the proposed method than in the conventional one.
