예비 교사들의 맥락 문제 해결 과정 분석 (A Study on the Process of Solving Context Problems by Prospective Teachers)

  • 이 연구는 예비 교사들의 맥락 문제 해결 과정을 분석함으로써 맥락 문제에 대한 우리나라 교사들의 교과 내용 지식과 관련된 특징을 살피려는 목적에서 진행되었다. 문헌 검토를 통해 맥락의 의미를 살피고 맥락 문제가 갖추어야 할 조건을 추출하였다. 이렇게 추출된 맥락 문제의 조건에 비추어 선형 계획법을 배경 지식으로 하는 검사 문제를 개발하였으며 검사 결과 분석을 위한 주요 관점을 Illinois Department of Education(2005)의 평가 틀에 기초하여 '수학적 지식', '전략적 지식', '설명 능력'의 범주로 구체화하였다. 이렇게 구체화한 분석 관점과 평가 틀을 활용하여 각 예비 교사의 반응 결과에 점수를 부여한 다음 예비 교사들의 맥락 문제 해결 과정에서 드러나는 전반적인 경향을 살피고, 각각의 경향이 갖는 시사점을 검사 문제 개발 의도 및 선행 연구 결과에 비추어 분석하였다. 이상의 분석 결과로부터 예비 교사들의 맥락 문제 해결 과정에서 드러난 특징을 4가지로 요약하였다.

Linkages of Financial Efficacy, Demographics, Risks Preference and Consumption Behavior in Malaysia

  • Financial literacy is one of the sustainable development goals of huge concern of governments. Governments explore solutions addressing policies to improve financial literacy. Nevertheless, financial management has such a broad scope and is not just limited to knowledge. As human nature, individuals are born with different confidence levels that include various financial abilities. This study aims to investigate the household-financial efficacy through the application of psychometric instruments, risk preference, and demographic characteristics toward consumption decision behavior. The research is based on a survey 479 households in the peninsular Malaysia, and utilizes the structural equation model, cluster proportional and systematic random sampling, and two measurements - composite reliability and average variance extracted. Results show that households' financial efficacy is one of the critical factors that explain the households' consumption decision behavior. Also, risk preference, gender and area location (rural or urban) of the household determined the consumption decision behavior of the household. The effectiveness of consumption decision is not only determined by financial literacy, but also financial efficacy. The implications of this paper may help to design policies in narrowing the broad gap between the rural and urban level of financial efficacy. The government needs to take appropriate actions to fix it.

환경설계교육에 있어 조형예술 프로그램의 필요성에 관한 연구 - 한국과 프랑스의 사례를 중심으로 - (A Study on the Necessity of the Implementation of "Plastic Arts" in Environmental Design Studio Programs -Focused on the cases of France and Korea-)

  • Creative spatial production in Environmental design relies, in large part, on the artistic talent of the designer(s) that is applied to the design solutions or schematic plans. This study proposes the importance and necessity of the use of 'Plastic Arts" or the technique of artistic manipulation and definition of space in Environmental Design studio programs. This fundamental design approach is currently lacking in Korean design studio programs. Moreover, the current trend of interdisciplinary design (that is, between landscape architecture, architecture, urban and environmental planning) emphasizes the importance of such techniques. "plastic Arts" techniques can serve as a basic code of communication between design disciplines and can in itself be a common approach. The method of this study is based on the empirical datas, that is, the educational performances which are executed in Landscape studio programs of some Korean Universities. The results are summarized as follows; 1. The program, "Plastic Arts" Should be included in the basic organization of Landscape design studio programs. 2. Unlike France where "Plastic Arts" program is implemented through out Landscape Architecture programs in Korea, "Plastic Arts" should be intensified and continued for longer period of time for students in the initial years. 3. In creation of "Plastic Arts" programs for Korean Landscape Design studios, the traditional and contemporary values of aesthetic of the Nature should be taken in consideration. 4. In order to confirm the necessity of "Plastic arts" program in the organization of landscape curriculum, more studies should be done, with empirical datas.pe curriculum, more studies should be done, with empirical datas.

가축 수정란 동결보존의 최근 이용방법 (Current Application of Embryo Cryopreservation for Farm Animals)

  • This paper reviews the most important steps that have generated consistent progress in principles and developmental progress of embryo cryopreservation, and also study on freezing procedure and its application by conventional method and current improved method for freezing procedure and its appilcation of embryo cryopreservation in farm animals. Four were of particular interest: 1.The transport of water across the ccli membrane (zona pellucida) during freezing and thawing accordinglyplays a role in determing whether the celi survives. This movement of water is controlied mainly by extracellular phase changes and by the nature and concentration of any cryoprotective agent present. Therates of cooling, freezing and warming, and the intervals over which they are applied are further decisi've factors in determining whether a cryopreservation procedure allows survival after thawing. 2.The first successful deep freezing experiments with sheep morula and blastocysts during the seventies were based on the early procedures used for mouse embryos.Current research during the eighties is developed with the aim of simplifying and improving current procedures such as one-step dilution and rapid or ultra-rapid cooling by using the model of laboratory animals. 3.The conventional method for the embryo cryopreservation is described. An alternative to this method which may result in high survival and also in reducing of the freezing and thawing time is done by combing a permeable cryoprotectant such as glycerol, DMSO or propanediol and a non-permeable compound such as sucrose, trehalose, raffinose or lactose. 4.Finally a different approach to the preservation of embryos, named vitrification, is introduced. This procedure depends upon the ability of concentrated solutions of cryoprotective agents such as glycerol and propanediol to supercool to very low temperature (-196C) during rapid cooling before solidifying without formation of ice. However, more complete data are necessary for successful vitrification of blastocysts.

점토층위의 모래지반에 위치한 얕은 기초의 지지력에 대한 상한 한계해석 (Upper Bound Limit Analysis of Bearing Capacity for Surface Foundations on Sand Overlying Clay)

  • 본 연구는 점토층위의 모래지반에 위치하는 표면기초의 극한지지력에 대해 이론적으로 조사하였다. 실용적인 적용을 위하여 표면기초의 지지력에 관한 연구들에 대한 검토와 논의가 제시되며, 한계해석(Limit Analysis)의 운동학적 접근방법을 이용하여 정해의 극한 지지력이 계산되었다. 운동학적 해는 상한값이며 해의 정확성은 파괴메카니즘의 형상에 달려 있다. 이러한 방법은 설계도표를 만드는데 편리할 뿐만 아니라 물성치의 영향을 추정할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 범용 유한요소해석 프로그램인 ABAQUS를 사용하여 탄소성 이론에 근거하여 극한지지력을 계산하였다. 운동학적 방범으로 계산된 결과와 유한요소 해석, 한계평형론에 근거한 몇몇 알려진 식들(Yamaguchi, Meyerhof와 Okamura 등)에 의한 결과를 비교하였다. 아울러, 운동학적 방법에 의한 제안식과 유한요소해석 결과와 한계평형해석 결과의 유효성에 대하여 검증하였다.

Use of Adaptive Meshes in Simulation of Combustion Phenomena

  • Non oxide ceramics such as nitrides of transition metals have shown significant potential for future economic impact, in diverse applications in ceramic, aerospace and electronic industries, as refractory products, abrasives and cutting tools, aircraft components, and semi-conductor substrates amid others. Combustion synthesis has become an attractive alternative to the conventional furnace technology to produce these materials cheaply, faster and at a higher level of purity. However he process os highly exothermic and manifests complex dynamics due to its strongly non-linear nature. In order to develop an understanding of this process and to study the effect of operational parameters on the final outcome, numerical modeling is necessary, which would generated essential knowledge to help scale-up the process. the model is based on a system of parabolic-hyperbolic partial differential equations representing the heat, mass and momentum conservation relations. The model also takes into account structural change due to sintering and volumetric expansion, and their effect on the transport properties of the system. The solutions of these equations exhibit steep moving spatial gradients in the form of reaction fronts, propagating in space with variable velocity, which gives rise to varying time scales. To cope with the possibility of extremely abrupt changes in the values of the solution over very short distances, adaptive mesh techniques can be applied to resolve the high activity regions by ordering grid points in appropriate places. To avoid a control volume formulation of the solution of partial differential equations, a simple orthogonal, adaptive-mesh technique is employed. This involves separate adaptation in the x and y directions. Through simple analysis and numerical examples, the adaptive mesh is shown to give significant increase in accuracy in the computations.

비 작업보존형 라운드로빈 스케줄러 (Non-Work Conserving Round Robin Schedulers)

  • 패킷 스위칭 네트워크에서의 QoS 보장을 위한 많은 연구가 지난 10여 년간 진행되었다. 이들 중 많은 수가 IntServs 기반의 플로우별 대역폭 할당과 보장을 위한 여러 가지 시그널링, 스케줄링 방법에 관한 것이나, 구현의 복잡성으로 인해 실제 네트워크에서 실현된 예가 드물다. 이러한 복잡성을 극복하기 위해서 최근 플로우 통합 (Flow Aggregation)이 제안된 바 있다. 통합된 플로우 기반의 스케줄링을 통해 지연시간을 보장해주기 위해서는 플로우 간의 공정한 통합이 요구되며, 이를 위해서 스케줄러가 비 작업보존방식으로 동작해야 한다. 본고에서는 가장 간단하면서 별리 쓰이는 스케줄링 기법인 Deficit Round Robin을 변형한, 비 작업보존 방식의 Round Robin with Virtual Flow (RRVF)를 제안하고 이를 바탕으로 공정한 플로우간 통합을 시도하였다. RRVF가 보장하는 지연시간 최대치를 연구하였으며 이를 적용한 플로우 통합시의 지연시간 최대치를 구하였다. 이를 통해 RRVF로 플로우를 통합하는 경우 대역폭 할당이 간단해짐과 동시에 네트워크 전체의 지연시간도 줄어드는 것을 알아내었다.

Assessing the anion type effect on the hydro-mechanical properties of smectite from macro and micro-structure aspects

  • The expansivity of clayey soils is a complicated phenomenon which may affect the stability of geotechnical structures and geo-environmental projects. In all common factors for the monitoring of soil expansion, less attention is given to anion type of pore space solutions. Therefore, this paper is concerned with the impact of various concentrations of different inorganic salts including NaCl, Na2SO4, and Na2CO3 on the macro and microstructure behavior of the expandable smectite clay. Comparison of the responses of the smectite/NaCl and smectite/Na2SO4 mixtures indicates that the effect of anion valance on the soil engineering properties is not very pronounced, regardless of the electrolyte concentration. However, at presence of carbonate as potential determining ions (PDIs) the swelling power increases up to 1.5 times compared to sulfate or chloride ions. The samples with Na2CO3 are also more deformable and show lower osmotic compressibility than the other mixtures. This demonstrates that the barrier performance of smectite greatly decreases in case of anions with the non-specific adsorption (e.g., Cl and SO42) as the salinity of solution increases. Based on the results of the X-ray diffraction and sedimentation tests, the high soil volumetric changes upon exposure to carbonate is attributed to an increase in the repulsive forces between smectite basic unit layers due to the PDI effect of CO32 and increasing the pH level which enhance the buffering capacity of smectite. The study concluded that the nature of anion through its influence on the re-arrangement of soil microstructure and osmotic phenomena governs the hydro-mechanical parameters of expansive clays. It seems not coinciding with the double layer theory of the Gouy-Chapman double layer model.

Reactivity of aluminosilicate materials and synthesis of geopolymer mortar under ambient and hot curing condition

  • Aluminosilicate materials as precursors are heterogenous in nature, consisting of inert and partially reactive portion, and have varying proportions depending upon source materials. It is essential to assess the reactivity of precursor prior to synthesize geopolymers. Moreover, reactivity may act as decisive factor for setting molar concentration of NaOH, curing temperature and setting proportion of different precursors. In this experimental work, the reactivities of two precursors, low calcium (fly ash (FA)) and high calcium (ground granulated blast furnace slag (GGBS)), were assessed through the dissolution of aluminosilicate at (i) three molar concentrations (8, 12, and 16 M) of NaOH solution, (ii) 6 to 24 h dissolution time, and (iii) 20-100℃. Based on paratermeters influencing the reactivity, different proportions of ternary binders (two precursors and ordinary cement) were activated by the combined NaOH and Na2SiO3 solutions with two alkaline activators to precursor ratios, to synthesize the geopolymer. Reactivity results revealed that GGBS was 20-30% more reactive than FA at 20℃, at all three molar concentrations, but its reactivity decreased by 32-46% with increasing temperature due to the high calcium content. Setting time of geopolymer paste was reduced by adding GGBS due to its fast reactivity. Both GGBS and cement promoted the formation of all types of gels (i.e., C-S-H, C-A-S-H, and N-A-S-H). As a result, it was found that a specified mixing proportion could be used to improve the compressive strength over 30 MPa at both the ambient and hot curing conditions.

Analysis of the mechano-bactericidal effects of nanopatterned surfaces on implant-derived bacteria using the FEM

  • The killing of bacteria by mechanical forces on nanopatterned surfaces has been defined as a mechano-bactericidal effect. Inspired by nature, this method is a new-generation technology that does not cause toxic effects and antibiotic resistance. This study aimed to simulate the mechano-bactericidal effect of nanopatterned surfaces' geometric parameters and material properties against three implant-derived bacterial species. Here, in silico models were developed to explain the interactions between the bacterial cell and the nanopatterned surface. Numerical solutions were performed based on the finite element method. Elastic and creep deformation models of bacterial cells were created. Maximum deformation, maximum stress, maximum strain, as well as mortality of the cells were calculated. The results showed that increasing the peak sharpness and decreasing the width of the nanopatterns increased the maximum deformation, stress, and strain in the walls of the three bacterial cells. The increase in spacing between nanopatterns increased the maximum deformation, stress, and strain in E. coli and P. aeruginosa cell walls it decreased in S. aureus. The decrease in width with the increase in sharpness and spacing increased the mortality of E. coli and P. aeruginosa cells, the same values did not cause mortality in S. aureus cells. In addition, it was determined that using different materials for nanopatterns did not cause a significant change in stress, strain, and deformation. This study will accelerate and promote the production of more efficient mechano-bactericidal implant surfaces by modeling the geometric structures and material properties of nanopatterned surfaces together.
