자연기반 생태관광 동기가 관광지 이미지와 만족에 미치는 영향 : 우포늪 생태관광지를 중심으로 (An Empirical Study of Nature-based Ecotourism Motivation on Ecotourism Destination Image and Satisfaction)

  • The purpose of this study is to describe how nature-based ecotourism motivation of ecotourists influences destination image and satisfaction of ecotourists. In order to achieve the above purposes, the study carried out a literature study and an empirical analysis. Based on the obtained data through the literature study, the study designed a model for the empirical study. The results of this study are as follows. First, returns to nature, knowledge. fitness and escape as ecotourism motivation of ecotourist had a positive effect on each ecotourism destination image, such as cognitive and affective image. However, effect of novelty on cognitive image for destination had not significant results. Second, ecotourism destination image, such as cognitive and affective image, had a positive effect on ecotourism satisfaction of ecotourists. The results of the article provide implications for strategies for promoting ecotourism destination and suggest some guidelines for the eco-education of tourists.

A Narrative Analysis of Stem Cell Research Scientists' Reflections on Ethical Issues and the Value of Science

  • The purpose of this study is to explore the ways in which scientists reflect on the scientific practices, based on the premise that reflection is one of key elements for shaping scientific identities. This paper specifically considers scientists' reflections as the processes in which their senses of ethical issues and the value of science are articulated. To do so, the study developed a narrative inquiry for exploring the value of scientists' stories. Fourteen professional scientists' stories were collected in the context of the stem cell research, in ways that foreground their reflections on current scientific practices and the surrounding socio-cultural conditions. As for ethical issues, scientists' stories were analysed in terms of four claims regarding the themes of bioethics, integrity, scientific issues and communication. Furthermore, scientists' reflections on the value of science were analysed in relation to the elements of nature of science. Based on the results, discussion focused on the value of science stories as an instrument with which to guide students into the enculturation in the practices of scientific culture.

생태건축단지(生態建築團地)에 관한 기초연구(基礎硏究) (A Basic Study on the Ecological Architecture Complex)

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest an environment-friendly design method of ecological architecture complex, with the reference to foreign cases. The ecological architecture is very similar to the natural ecosystem, but there is increasing international scientific consensus that human activities are having a discernable effect on the global climate. The most important thing is keep going harmoniously between preservation and development relevant with nature. In the process of ecological approaching concept, we need a method that from "architecture in a nature" to "architecture as one section of the nature" would be extended further, also the purpose of this study aims to achieve these kinds of ecological architecture. As a result of, in this Age of industrial science, we are proposing useful materials and suggestion regarding the ecological architecture planning of Korean cities, by preestimating the characteristics of a city heading toward the Age of the new ecological environment.

퍼지규칙으로 구성된 지식기반시스템에서 동적 추론전략 (A Strategy of Dynamic Inference for a Knowledge-Based System with Fuzzy Production Rules)

  • A knowledge-based system with fuzzy production rules is a representation of static knowledge of an expert. On the other hand, a real system such as the stock market is dynamic in nature. Therefore we need a strategy to reflect the dynamic nature of real system when we make inferences with a knowledge-based system. This paper proposes a strategy of dynamic inferencing for a knowledge-based system with fuzzy production rules. The strategy suggested in this paper applies weights of attributes of conditions of a rule in the knowledge-base. A degree of match(DM) between actual input information and a condition of a rule is represented by a value [0,1]. Weights of relative importance of attributes in a rule are obtained by AHP(Analytic Hierarcy Process) method. Then these weights are applied as exponents for the DM, and the DMs in a rule are combined, with MIN operator, into a single DM for the rule. In this way, overall DM for a rule changes depending on the importance of attributes of the rule. As a result, the dynamic nature of a real system can be incorporated in an inference with fuzzy production rules.

문화생태탐방로 조성에 대한 중요도 성취도 분석 - '구불길' 군산저수지 구간을 중심으로 - (User's evaluation on the ecological trail in Gunsan reservoir area through importance-performance analysis)

  • This study investigated the user's attitude to the nature trail called Gubulgil in Gunsan reservoir area and evaluated the quality of user's satisfaction of the trails and their facilities by importance-performance analysis (IPA). User's evaluation was achieved through questionnaire survey and total 283 pieces of subjects were used for the analysis. The results are as follows. Firstly, importance value of circularity of trails was very high, and it has great implication to ordinary trails which connect ecological, historical and cultural spots routinely and linearly. Secondly, through the IPA, relatively dissatisfied attributes were parking lots, direction boards, storytelling, convenient facilities and encountering of wildlife. Expansion of parking lots can cause the environmental disruption, so running a shuttle service from Gunsan downtown to the reservoir at weekends can be more reasonable. In case of ecological and historical information delivery, softwares like storytelling contents with sense of realism as well as hardwares of informative signboards are very important in nature trails. Encountering wildlife in trails is fascinating experience but it means visitors may disturb wildlife habitats. So route design should be done very carefully not to intrude their territories.

지속가능한 도시개발을 위한 환경지표에 관한 연구 - 인간과 자연과의 공생지표를 중심으로 - (A study on Environmental Indicators for Sustainable City Development -The case of Coexistent Indicators between Men and Nature)

  • In this study, the indicator is established by the human activities which cause the load of the environment, the effect of the human activities on the environment, the state of the natural environment in the city, and the effort on improving this state. And this indicator is based on the DPSR(Driving Force, Pressure, State, Response)framework which combines the PSR framework of GECD with the DSR framework of UNCSD. Coexistent indicators between men and nature among the established environmental indicators apply to the case cities such as Suwon, Songnam, Bucheon, Ansan and the results are analyzed in detail. The environmental indicators established in this study will be the concrete and persuasive means which can evaluate the possibility of the sustainability that is the paradigm of the new city development when the environmental quality or state of the existing cities is evaluated.

국민학교 저학년 아동을 위한 과학놀이 활동자료 개발연구 (The Materials of the play Activities for the Lowor Grades in the Elementary School)

  • It is the purpose of this study that is to develop the materials of the Scientific activities by the medium of "play" having influence on the growth of the lower grades in elementary school. For the sake of this object, this study develops and presents the materials of tile basic logical thinking play and sense-thinking play activities. And it analyzes the degree that they can be applied to the elementary science textbook of nature current now. As a result this provides 39 of materials of the sense-play and 23 of materials of the logical thinking play activities. And then, if the materials presented here are changed adequatly and have the same main subject as contents of the present textbook, we shall be able to utilize them for the textbook of nature.

기러기가족의 초국적 적응전략 및 가족 경로 (Transnational Life of Korean 'Wild Geese Family': Coping Strategies and Family Paths Across Time)

  • My concern was to explore how the Korean 'wild geese families' functioned to maintain 'familyhood' in spite of spatial separation by using a qualitative approach. I used personal narratives from eleven 'geese mothers' living in the United States. Family paths across time were analyzed to understand their complicated nature. Respondents adopted some coping strategies to obtain the flexibility and the stability for relocating their transnational lives. These were 1) communications, 2) relocation of household work, and 3) reinterpretation of 'sacrifice.' It seemed that their family paths become either the continuous type (prolong their stay) or the discontinuous type (not prolong their stay). These were shaped by complex individual, familial, and social forces which affected differently according to the steps of family life cycles. Therefore, this study showed that the Korean 'wild geese family' did not move toward the uni-direction with the same experiences and nature. More importantly, it is noteworthy to acknowledge that the prevalence of 'wild geese family' reveals the dynamic interactive nature of the family, i.e., actively responding to the changes and challenges from the diverse circumstances. It is inferred that the social and cultural factors such as the class mobility, the education system, and the values may influence the family life style.

  • The aim of this study is to understand and redefine the nature of architectural environment within the paradigm of natural science. The chaos theory non-equilibrium thermodynamics theory self-organization of modern physics offer new insights to explain not only natural phenomena but also to define creative and dynamic architectural environment. First natural laws in modern physics like the arrow of time but is related not only with certainty but also possibility so nature is understood as a constantly changing process of evolution. Second the new architectural environment is defined as a kind of fluid and irreducible organic biosytem that cannot be fully understood by modernist idea of architecture. It is conceived of as a fluid constantly changing self-oraganizing system that consists of different situations events movements and programs in uncertain and irreducible time frame. Third insights and implications of natural science offer new language and strategy for design and the two disciplines can be understood as interdependent and co-evolving
