Observation of Rotational Cooling of CN($B^2{\Sigma}^+$) Radical Generated in a Supersonic Expansion

  • The $CN(B^2{\Sigma}^+)$ radical was produced in a jet using an electric dc discharge of the precursor $CH_3CN$ with inert carrier gases. The rotationally resolved Fourier transform emission spectra of the 0-0 band of the $(B^2{\Sigma}^+{\to}X^2{\Sigma}^+)$ transition of CN have exhibited different distribution of the intensity for the carrier gases He and Ar, respectively. From the analysis of intensity distribution in the spectra, the mechanism for rotational cooling process of CN radical in a supersonic expansion has been suggested.

플라즈마 전처리와 자외선 흡수제에 의한 소목의 내일광성 향상에 관한 연구 (Influence of Plasma Treatment & UV Absorbent on Lightfastness Improvement of Brazilin)

  • This study is to improve the worst lightfastness of a natural dye. To modify the fiber surface, low temperature oxygen plasma was carried out on silk fabric. The result is followed below after the examination of surface shape, dyeability, color change, UV absorbent influence and lightfastness. 1. When electric discharge outputs are 60W, 80W and 100w, and processing times are 10minutes, 20minutes and 40minutes, the etching effect of surface increased as electric discharge outputs and processing times increased. 2. When examined UV absorbent for 5hours, 10hours, 20hours, 40hours and 80hours, the value changes of E are 1.47, 2.51, 2.91, 3.71, 4.51 and 5.31 in case of Al pre-mordanting/ prasma 80W, 20min./ UVabsorbent 5% (100:1), 2.31, 2.47, 3.84, 3.90, 3.61 and 4.42 in case of Al pre-mordanting/prasma 80W, 20min.1 UV absorbent 5% (o.w.f.). The lightfastness decreased when UV absorbent increased. 3. Dyeability of the samples pre-treated with five different methods was in the following order: plasma processing for 20minutes at 60W/Al pre-mordanting > Al pre-mordanting > plasma processing for 20minutes at 60W > Al after-mordanting. non mordanting Plasma treatment had superior effect on dyeability. 4. When UV absorbent was applied in fabric, the sample under higher electric discharge out puts showed more effective in improving lightfastness.

  • 댐 건설로 인하여 상류로 부터 토사공급이 중단 상태인 하천에 있어서의 하상변동이나 유사 이송 현상은 상당히 복잡한 물리적 현상이기 때문에 이에 관련된 수치모형의 설정이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 하상변동에 대한 수치해석방법으로 정류개념보다는 점변부정류 개념을 적용하였으며, 홍수기록과 하상변동에 관한 자료가 비교적 풍부한 한강하류부에 이 수치모형을 적용하여 유량변화(홍수기록, 특정계획유량) 및 하상고 변동(기존, 계획)을 모의 하였다.

  • 충적수로에서 유사량의 정량적인 산정은 초기운동개념이나 유사이송개념에 의한 방법에 기초하여 구하고 있다. 본는 연구에서는 유사이송개념에 의한 결정방법중의 하나인 회귀분석법에 의해 총유사량을 산정할 수 있는 유사농도에 관한 관계식을 유도하였다. 관계식의 유도에는 135개의 현장자료와 225개의 실험자료가 포함된 360개의 실측자료가 이용되었다. 또한 다중회귀분석법에 의한 관계식은 수심, 평균유속, 수로경사, Froude 수 및 하상재료의 중앙입경을 독립변수로 하여 유도되었다.

Fin and Temperature Effect of Frost in Ambient Air Vaporizer

  • Since liquefied natural gas (LNG) is imported in a liquid state of about -162℃ to increase transportation efficiency in Korea, it must be vaporized in a gaseous state to supply it to consumers. Among them, ambient air vaporizer (AAV) has caught attention due to eco-friendly and low costs characteristics. However, there is a disadvantage that the performance of the heat exchanger is deteriorated due to frost due to mist and icing when used for a long time. In this paper, frost generation model in AAV vaporizer was investigated with numerically to examine utilizing the vaporizer performance with the frost generation behavior. The frost generation behavior of AAV vaporizers was examined with humidity, fin characteristic, and temperature effects. As for the LNG discharge temperature, the 12 fin vaporizer showed the highest discharge temperature when the atmospheric temperature was 25℃, and the 8 fin vaporizer had the lowest LNG discharge temperature when the atmospheric temperature was 0℃. In the case of frost formation, in the case of the 12 fin vaporizer, it was formed the most at the atmospheric temperature of 25℃, and the least was formed in the vaporizer at the 0℃ condition of the atmospheric temperature of 8 fins.

대표 입경과 하도 특성의 관계 분석 (Research on Relationship of Bed Material and Channel Characteristics)

  • 개별 하천에 존재하는 하상재료는 상류의 지질특성과 유수에 의한 작용력의 특성을 반영하고 있으며 유수에 의한 작용력은 하상경사와 유량규모에 지배적인 영향을 받는다. 산본 황일(山本 晃一)(1994)에 의하면 자연하천에서 동일한 경사를 가지는 하도 구간은 하상재료, 소류력, 저수로 폭, 수심 등이 대체로 동일한 값을 나타내고 있으며, 하도 특성을 지배하는 주요인자로 각 하천의 평균연최대유량, 하상재료의 대표입경, 하상경사 등을 설정하고 있다. 하상재료는 하도의 물리적, 생태적 특성을 지배하는 대표적인 인자로 의미가 있으나 국내에서는 이와 관련된 연구가 미비한 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 국내 하천의 하도 특성을 분석하는 기초연구로서 대표하천에 대한 하상재료를 채취하여 분석하였으며 이를 분급도와 하상경사와의 관계로 도시하여 하상재료 분포 특성을 분석하였으며 이를 일본 하천의 하상재료 특성과 비교하였다. 분석결과에 의하면 분급도, 무차원 소류력, 하상경사와의 관계 분석을 통해서 자갈과 모래하천은 그 특성이 뚜렷이 구분됨을 확인할 수 있었으며, 하상경사와 대표입경의 관계도 모래와 자갈을 구분하여 접근하여야 함을 확인하였다.

과염소산을 이용한 팽창흑연의 제조 및 고출력 리튬이온전지 음극재로의 응용 (Preparation of Expanded Graphite using Perchloric Acid and It's Application as Anode Materials for High Power Li-ion Secondary Battery)

  • Expanded graphites were used as anode materials of high power Li-ion secondary battery. The expanded graphite was prepared by mixing the graphite with $HClO_4$ as a intercalation agents and $KMnO_4$ as a oxidizing agents. The physical and electrochemical properties of prepared expanded graphites through the variation of process variables such as contents of intercalation agent and oxidizing agent, and heat treatment temperature were analyzed for determination of optimal conditions as the anode of high power Li-ion secondary battery. After examing the electrochemical properties of expanded graphites at the different preparing conditions, the optimal conditions of expanded graphite were selected as 8 wt.% of oxidizing agent, 400 g of intercalation agent for 20 g of natural graphite, and heat treatment at $1000^{\circ}C$. The sample showed the improved charge/discharge characteristics such as 432 mAh/g of initial reversible capacity, 88% of discharge rate capability at 10 C-rate, and 24 mAh/g of charge capacity at 10 C-rate. However, the expanded graphite had the problems of potential plateaus like natural graphite and lower initial efficiency than the natural graphite.

낙동강 하구역 진우도와 신자도 전면의 최근 지형 변화: 2007년-2012년 (Recent Morphological Changes off the Shoreface of Jinwoodo and Sinjado in the Nakdong River Estuary: 2007-2012)

  • Recently, more attention has been paid to the geomorphological changes in the Nakdong River Estuary, because those changes are caused by artificial activities including weirs, reclamation and construction. In order to analyze quantitatively the recent geomorphological variability in the Nakdong River Estuary, we surveyed the depth and elevation of submarine topography near Jinwoodo and Sinjado from March 2007 to February 2012. A statistical method (based on Digital Shoreline Analysis System) and an Empirical Orthogonal Functions method were used to evaluate the morphological changes. According to the statistical variables (DCE, NDC, EPR, LRR), the highest amount and rate of accumulation were recorded around the Gadeokdo whereas the greatest amount of erosion appeared around the coast off the eastern part of Sinjado. In particular, a dynamic variation of morphology was clearly observed in the vicinity of the sub-tidal channel located between Jinwoodo and Sinjado, which seems to be attributable to channel migration. As a result of the EOF method, the first mode (48.7%) is most closely related to the pattern of morphological variability that might be associated with the westerly movement of sediment by longshore current. The spatial variability of the second mode (16.6%) was high in the shoreface of Sinjado, showing a 4-year periodicity of temporal variability. The strong correlation (coefficient 0.73) between the time coefficient and suspended sediment discharge from Nakdong River emphasizes the role of sediment discharge to deposition in this area. The spatial variability of the third mode (11.3%) was distributed mainly around the coast off the eastern part of Sinjado, which is related to the movement of the coastline of Sinjado. Based on the last 5 year's data, our results suggest that the study area is characterized on the whole by a depositional pattern, but the extent of sedimentation is different locally.

리튬이차전지 음극용 석유계 피치로 코팅된 천연 흑연의 전기화학적 특성 (Electrochemical Properties of Natural Graphite coated with PFO-based Pitch for Lithium-ion Battery Anode)

  • 리튬이차전지용 음극재로서 피치로 코팅된 천연흑연의 전기화학적 특성이 조사되었다. 천연흑연과 피치의 혼합물을 $1000^{\circ}C$에서 소성하여 음극재를 제조하였다. 다양한 연화점의 피치가 탄소전구체로 사용되었다. 제조된 음극재의 물리적 특성은 TGA, SEM, PSA 및 BET로 분석하였다. 피치의 연화점이 증가할수록 코팅 층의 두께가 증가하였고, 비표면적이 감소하였다. 초기 충 방전 효율, 사이클, 순환전압전류, 속도 특성 및 임피던스 테스트를 통해 전기화학적 성능을 조사하였다. 연화점 $250^{\circ}C$의 피치로 탄소 코팅된 천연흑연은 초기 방전용량 361 mAh/g과 쿨롱 효율 92.6%을 보였다. 또한 출력 특성(5 C/0.2 C)은 코팅되지 않은 천연흑연에 비해 1.6배 향상되었으며, 0.5 C로 진행된 사이클 테스트에서 50 사이클 후 90%의 용량 유지율을 나타내었다.

다기능온돌시스템을 이용한 자연환기성능 평가 (Evaluation of Natural Ventilation Performance using the Multi-Functional Floor Heating System)

  • Recently developed raised floor heating system is not only capable of basic function to reduce noise between floors, but also is a multi-functional floor heating system enabling natural ventilation. The procedure of this system for natural ventilation is to import outdoor air through bottom space of the floor heating system, circulate indoor space and discharge it out of ceiling. In winter, powerless natural ventilation is possible with buoyancy effect caused by temperature difference between outdoor and indoor. And it also allows saving of energy by importing pre-heated air in bottom space of the floor heating system. To evaluate ventilation performance of this system, on-site measurement was conducted in 2 test laboratories, and the nominal air change rate was satisfied as 0.4$\sim$0.8 h-1 under the condition of outdoor temperature $5^{\circ}C{\sim}-5^{\circ}C$, which was evaluated as highly possible to be applied as a natural ventilation system in multi-family houses.
