슬라이닥을 이용하는 전압 제어 방식의 역률보상시스템 개발 (Development of Voltage Controlled Power Factor Compensation System using Slidac)

  • 본 논문에서는 슬라이닥을 이용하는 새로운 역률보상시스템을 제안한다. 제안하는 역률보상시스템은 슬라이닥의 출력전압을 커패시터에 인가하여 역률을 보상하는 구조이다. 기존의 커패시터 뱅크 방법을 이용하는 역률보상시스템은 선택 가능한 커패시터 용량이 한정되어 있어 부하 상황에 따라 역률 보상 오차가 발생하지만, 제안 시스템은 커패시터 인가 전압을 슬라이닥을 이용하여 세밀하게 변화시킬 수 있어 변화하는 부하를 추종하여 오차 없이 역률을 100%까지 보상할 수 있다. 기존 시스템과 제안 시스템을 비교하여 제시하고, 제안 시스템의 역률 보상 성능이 우수함을 모의실험과 실험을 통해 확인한다. 제안 시스템을 수용가에 설치할 경우 역률 개선을 통한 전기료 감소, 선로손실 감소, 부하 용량 증대 효과가 기대된다. 특히 발전 사업가측에서는 역률 보상 성능의 향상으로 송전 여유 용량 확보와 발전량 절감이 가능하다.

  • This paper presents a stator winding fault diagnosis technique of induction motor on the PC - based virtual instrumentation system designed using the graphical programming language LabVIEW. This method collects the 3-phase current signals using the current probe amplifier and PXI/DAQ system then the preprocessing removes the noise using LPF, after then this method transforms the stator current to Park's vector and obtains the each Park's Vector pattern and detects stator winding fault by comparing the obtained faulted pattern with the healthy pattern. This proposed LabVIEW based diagnosis system is applied to the 3 phase 1 hp induction motor and obtained the reasonable results under no load condition. The test results give us the possibility a simple and realistic on-line winding fault diagnosis system.

  • Grasping aspects of using our representative soraksan national park and investigating factors affecting visitors' decision-making, this study aims to suggest rationally using of the national park and the positive development plan. The question contains those who have visited soraksan national park more than once. This research shows that most of the visitors wish ‘entrance congestion’ to be solved by introducing ‘previous reservation’ system and unpolluted shuttle bus, therefore chances are shown that they could be introduced for settlement of the existing problems.

  • In electromagnetic transient analysis studies, complex transmission system should be modelled in detail. But in large system, modelling of complete system is a big burden in many sides such as computation time, modelling efforts. It is needed to model only a concerned part of the system in detail. The remaining parts of the system have to be reduced to equivalents. This study suggests a method of generating a simple network equivalents which has equivalent frequency charastics in wide frequency range.

  • With the development of mechatronics technology in the transporter industry, the electric power assisted steering (EPAS) system has many advantages compared to the hydraulic system. Many manufacturers are developing and applying EPAS systems to improve the performance of the transporter. Using the HILS system developed in the paper, an adaptable EPAS system was developed for real transporter. It was installed in a real, KIA Rio, and tested. Results indicated outstanding performance. Therefore, the developed EPAS can be applied via HILS system.

  • This paper deals with the design and implementation of wireless sensor network protocol for smart power outlet system capable of fire detection, power monitoring, standby power cutoff, and home automation. The proposed protocol integrates both the CSMA and the TDMA protocols for low power consumption and good scalability. A prototype smart power outlet system employing the proposed protocol and a simple home automation network including the power outlet system have been implemented for evaluating the feasibility of the proposed protocol The result shows that the proposed protocol allows the power outlet system to be scalable with high power efficiency.

국립공원 통합관리를 위한 유비쿼터스 정보기술 활용방안 (An Application of Ubiquitous Information Technology for Integrated Management of National Park)

  • 본 연구는 국립공원 관리에 활용될 수 있는 유비쿼터스 정보기술을 탐색하고, 국립공원의 관리부문인 탐방객, 자원, 시설, 교통과 정보, 서비스 부문별로 유비쿼터스 정보기술의 활용방안을 제시하는 것으로 목적으로 하였다. 본 연구결과, 국립공원 정보화의 핵심은 탐방객, 자원, 시설 등 관리부문에 대한 위치자료 및 속성자료의 수집과 그 관계성 분석 그리고 탐방 정보화 서비스에 있음을 규명하였다. 또한 국립공원 정보화를 위한 단계를 현재까지 축척된 자료와 위치정보를 일치시키는 단계, 유비쿼터스 정보기술을 활용한 자료 수집 단계, 현장관리와 실시간 의사결정 단계, 국립공원 관리 시스템 및 정보화 서비스의 통합 및 융합단계로 구분할 수 있었다. 본 연구의 결과는 국립공원 관리정책 수립 전반에 걸쳐 과학적이고 객관적인 정책 대안을 제시하기 위한 의사결정 지원체계로서 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

The maintenance record of the KSTAR helium refrigeration system

  • Korea Superconducting Tokamak Advanced Research (KSTAR) has a helium refrigeration system (HRS) with the cooling capacity of 9 kW at 4.5 K. Main cold components are composed of 300 tons of superconducting (SC) magnets, main cryostat thermal shields, and SC current feeder system. The HRS comprises six gas storage tanks, a liquid nitrogen tank, the room temperature compression sector, the cold box (C/B), the 1st stage helium distribution box (DB#1), the PLC base local control system interconnected to central control tower and so on. Between HRS and cold components, there's another distribution box (DB#2) nearby the KSTAR device. The entire KSTAR device was constructed in 2007 and has been operated since 2008. This paper will present the maintenance result of the KSTAR HRS during the campaign and discuss the operation record and maintenance history of the KSTAR HRS.

  • This paper deals with operational characteristic analysis of a single-phase PCS (Power Conditioning System) for PV (Photovoltaic) power generation system with AF (Active Filter) function. The theory of dq transformation has been applied to the control strategy of a single-phase PV power generation system to implement the AF function. Application of the virtual two-phase using phase-shift makes it possible to use the dq theory for the single-phase PV power generation system. The authors are sure that the proposed system is a very useful to compensate harmonics caused by nonlinear loads in a single-phase utility system. In this paper, not only a theoretical aspect of the single-phase PV-AF system is discussed, but also the DSP (Digital Signal Processor) based experiment results are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the single-phase PV-AF system.
