This study explored the characteristics of contemporary furniture called New Design furniture design in terms of aesthetics of communication in the postmodern era. Qualitative conceptural analysis as the principal methodology was used to explore the characteristics of New Design furniture, which is accessible to the broadest possible public. Thereby, the communicative elements of symbol, metaphor, narrative, animation, imagination, humor, and/or wit expressed in New Design furniture were analyzed according to the designers'concept and work. As a result the postmodern aesthetics of communication made New Design furniture accessible to the largest number of People through cultural considerations in New Design furniture as it influences designers 'concept and work. However, it showed problems of New Design furniture in connection with postmodern aesthetics affecting mass production. Therefore, the designers have begun rethinking, redefining, and redesigning their furniture aesthetically, functionally, economically, and ecologically.

In this paper, we propose a pilot symbol assisted low complexity LS channel estimation method for OFDM in fast time varying channels. The proposed method shows low complexity characteristics in terms of memory space and processing time compared with conventional BEM channel model LS estimation methods.

A simple and general bit log-likelihood ratio (LLR) expression is provided for Gray-coded rectangular quadrature amplitude modulation (R-QAM) signals. The characteristics of Gray code mapping such as symmetries and repeated formats of the bit assignment in a symbol among bit groups are applied effectively for the simplification of the LLR expression. In order to reduce the complexity of the max-log-MAP algorithm for LLR calculation, we replace the mathematical max or min function of the conventional LLR expression with simple arithmetic functions. In addition, we propose an implementation algorithm of this expression. Because the proposed expression is very simple and constructive with some parameters reflecting the characteristic of the Gray code mapping result, it can easily be implemented, providing an efficient symbol de-mapping structure for various wireless applications.

In this paper, we propose a bit synchronizer which is suitable for frequency hopping systems. The proposed bit synchronizer is an ADPLL in which the digital loop filter is combined with an error symbol detecting circuit. Suppressing the tracking process, when hop mute and impulse noises are detected, improves the performance of the digital loop filter and enhances the probability of the frequency hopping system. Simulation results demonstrate an improved performance of the proposed bit synchronizer compared with existing ones.

Railway bridge type has been mainly selected by a intersection of roads and rivers, and economy. Now a days, it is required that the bridge type is considered a harmony with circumstances, a beauty and an expression of symbol of regions because of the enlargement of bridge structures and the advance of people's consciousness level. So it is adopted arch bridge with fan type hanger for a outer beautiful sight and a symbol of development of regions as 80m intersection bridge of railway and former national road at pal hung bridge in jolla line lot 1. It is performed that an examination, a consultation, a design of member sections and a detail analysis of joint parts according to the basic design. It is also performed a dynamic analysis with design loads and train loads reflection on railway bridge characteristics and examined a safety and a propriety of design compare with a fatigue design and design rules.

In this paper, we derive the outage probability for M-ary phase shifting keying (MPSK) and M-ary quadrature amplitude modulation (MQAM) burst transmission (BT) of adaptive decode-and-forward (ADF) cooperative relay systems over quasi-static Rayleigh fading channels. Within a burst, there are pilot symbols and data symbols. Pilot symbols are used for channel estimation schemes and each relay node's transmission mode selection schemes. At first, we focus on ADF relay systems in which the probability density function (PDF) is derived on the basis of error events at relay nodes corresponding to channel estimation errors. Next, the average outage probability is derived as an approximate expression for an arbitrary link signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) for different modulation orders. Its accuracy is demonstrated by comparison with simulation results. Further, it is confirmed that BT-ADF relay systems with pilot symbol based channel estimation schemes enables to select correctly decoded relay nodes without additional signaling between relay nodes and the destination node, and it is verified that the ideal performance is achieved with small SNR loss.

In this study, the pattern of texture was developed by applying the pattern shown in the Amita Yeoraebul and the Avalokitesvara with symbolism suitable for children's clothing. In addition, the design and the manufacturing of a children's wearable Hanbok were attempted, and the results are as follows: Amitha Yeoraebul is a Buddha who oversees paradise in Buddhism, and Avalokitesvara controls both paradise and the real world and provides mercy. Applying the various patterns in the Buddhist paintings, four daily hanboks for children were produced using patterns featuring symbolic the meanings of large round original patterns chrysanthemums, turtles, and lotus patterns. The lotus symbol represents love, nobility, and wealth, while the turtle symbol represents longevity, the chrysanthemum pattern symbolizes auspiciousness, and the large round original pattern means a constant continuation. To maintain the traditional hanbok form but allow convenient wear it in daily life, it is made in the jeogori + shorts, vest + long pants, and one-piece + jacket style. Currently, the daily dress of Hanbok and the modernization of traditional Korean clothes are being promoted. At this point, the study developed Hanbok fashion products that contain symbolic stories suitable for children are trying to maintain the image of traditional culture as much as possible.

A pseudo-random sequence generated by using a primitive polynomial, trace function, and Legendre symbol has been researched in our previous work. Our previous sequence has some interesting features such as period, autocorrelation, and linear complexity. A pseudo-random sequence widely used in cryptography. However, from the aspect of the practical use in cryptographic systems sequence needs to generate swiftly. Our previous sequence generated by utilizing a primitive polynomial, however, finding a primitive polynomial requires high calculating cost when the degree or the characteristic is large. It’s a shortcoming of our previous work. The main contribution of this work is to find some relation between the generated sequence and irreducible polynomials. The purpose of this relationship is to generate the same sequence without utilizing a primitive polynomial. From the experimental observation, it is found that there are (p - 1)/2 kinds of polynomial, which generates the same sequence. In addition, some of these polynomials are non-primitive polynomial. In this paper, these relationships between the sequence and the polynomials are shown by some examples. Furthermore, these relationships are proven theoretically also.
