Three-dimensional Kinematics of Knee Joint in a Complete Gait Cycle: A Comparative Study between Handball Players and Non-athletes

  • Objective: The purpose of this study is to investigate whether the athletic knee show greater rotation and translation movement than non-athletic knee during the treadmill walking with their preferred speed in a complete gait cycle. Method: Thirty young and healthy male subjects participated in the study, fifteen handball players (mean age: 19.6 ± 1.4 years old, mean weight: 85 ± 11.9 Kg, mean height: 179.8 ± 4.7) and fifteen non-athletes (mean age: 22.8 ± 1.2 years old, mean weight: 74.5 ± 8.6 Kg, mean height: 175 ± 5.9). Three-dimensional positional coordinate of lower limb during treadmill walking were analyzed. Results: There were significant differences (t (22.014)=1.585, p=0.127 in the range of internal and external rotation with mean value for handball player (M=14.4513, SD=2.3839) was higher than non-athletes (M=13.3327, SD=1.337). The magnitude of the difference in the means (mean difference=1.11867, 95% CI: -0.34489 to 2.5822) was significant. There were also significant differences (t (17.956)=1.654, p=0.116 in the max abduction and adduction with mean value for handball player (M=5.7160, SD=2.49281) was higher than non-athletes (M=4.5773, SD=0.94667). The magnitude of the difference in the means (mean difference=1.138, 95% CI: -0.30805 to 2.58539) was significant. At significance level 0.05. Conclusion: Finding of this study suggest that to understand the actual characteristic of knee motion studies have to be done in different walking and running trial at variable speed.

A Study of the Influence of The Interesting Elements of Public Welfare Games on the User's Game Experience - Focused on 'Mountaineering LightsUp' (공익성게임의 재미요소가 유저의 게임체험에 미치는 영향 분석 - <등산행동(燈山行动)>사례를 중심으로)

  • Based on the research of the Public Welfare Games 'Mountaineering LightsUp', which is the main theme of helping the disadvantaged in society, this study uses the questionnaire method to obtain user data, and collects the data by using AMOS analysis for the effect of game interest elements on the experience of players. The results showed that the interesting elements (goal, obstacles, sense of belonging, atmosphere, story, information, and player to player communication) of the game were positively influenced by the experience of the game. And the questionnaire showed that the game still had problems such as playing simple, difficulty, lack of popularity, lack of feedback, and lack of storytelling. This paper also puts forward some proposals for these deficiencies. In future research, the research sample will be expanded, the research content will be improved, and the future Public Welfare Games will be designed and developed.

  • 다른 사람은 다른 취미가 있고, 다른 사람의 다르게 좋아한 게임, 매우 많은 영향의 player의 선택의 게임 요인에서, 색채는 직관 느낌의 제1번째의 요인에 영향을 준 것이었다. 본 논문은 게임 인물 색채를 연구대상으로 삼을 필요가 없고, 게임 인물의 색채의 대조를 분석하는 것을 강조하며, 한국 중일 삼국의 게임 인물의 색채의 대조를 분석하고, 3개의 국가의 게임 인물이 설계한 중에 색채의 운용의 공통점과 특징을 이해하며, 따라서 이후 게임 설계와 연구의 학습 중에 게임에 대한 인물은 독특한 인식을 향상시키는 것과 사용한다.

  • A laryngocele is relatively uncommon disease, and it has abnormal dilatation of the laryngeal saccule or appendix of laryngeal ventricle. Etiology and pathogenesis of laryngocele has still dabated, but laryngocele has high relationship with glass blower, wind instrument player, chronic cough, laryngeal cancer, etc. We have experienced an unusual case of laryngocele combined with laryngeal carcinoma. We discuss the relationship of laryngocele and laryngeal carcinoma, and the current literature is reviewed.

  • 오늘날의 대규모 온라인 네트워크 게임은 동시에 수만에서 수십만 명이 접속하여 게임을 즐기는 서버/클라이언트 개념을 사용하고 있다. 접속하는 클라이언트의 수가 증가함에 따라 서버에서 다수의 클라이언트 유저를 지원하기 위해서는 게임 서버가 이를 처리할 수 있어야 한다. 이를 위해 게임서버 구조에 대한 연구들이 이루어지고 있다. 하지만 현재까지의 많은 서버들이 유동적인 클라이언트를 정적인 시스템으로 대처하기엔 문제점을 가지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 기존 게임서버에서 부하 분산방식의 구조적 단점을 보완하고, 부하를 최소화 할 수 있는 동적 부하 분산 방법을 제안한다.

A Statistical Analysis of Professional Baseball Team Data: The Case of the Lotte Giants

  • Knowing what factors into a player's ability to affect the outcome of a sports game is crucial. This knowledge helps determine the relative degree of contribution by each team member as well as sets appropriate annual salaries. This study uses statistical analysis to investigate how much the outcome of a professional baseball game is influenced by the records of individual players. We used the Lotte Giants' data on 252 games played between 2007 and 2008 that included environmental data(home or away games and opponents) as well as pitchers' and batters' data. Using a SAS Enterprise Miner, we performed a logistic regression analysis and decision tree analysis on the data. The results obtained through the two analytic methods are compared and discussed.

  • 본 연구에서는 점점 보편화되고 있는 대용량 휴대용 멀티미디어 단말에서 동영상, 사진, 음악 등과 같은 멀티미디어 컨텐츠를 메타 정보를 이용하여 쉽고 빠르게 검색할 수 있게 하는 시스템을 설계 및 구현하였다. 멀티미디어 컨텐츠에서 메타 정보는 사용자가 필요로 하는 중요한 정보들을 포함하고 있으며, 이를 이용한 검색은 디렉토리와 파일명에 의존하던 기존의 제한적인 컨텐츠 관리방식을 내용 기반의 자동 분류 방식으로 개선할 수 있게 한다. 또한 모든 컨텐츠에 대한 정보를 색인화한 뒤, 색인되어 있는 메타 정보데이터베이스에서 원하는 정보를 찾아내는 방법을 사용하여, 기존 시스템에서 파일명 검색만 가능했던 한계와 디스크 기반 검색으로 인한 느린 속도의 문제점을 해결할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

  • An important application domain for online services is an interactive, multiplayer game. in recent, many increase of users that use on-line services through networks have caused a heavy load to the server. In this paper, we propose a MMORPG distributed game server using 2Layer-Virtual Cell. Our method provides more effective solution of MMORPG distributed game server for large numbers of users.

  • In 1950, Nash [5] first proved the existence of equilibrium for games where the player's preferences are representable by continuous quasiconcave utilities and the strategy sets are simplexes. Next Debreu [3] proved the existence of equilibrium for abstract economies. Recently, the existence of Nash equilibrium can be further generalized in more general settings by several athors, e.g. Shafer-Sonnenschein [6], Borglin-Keiding [2], Yannelis-Prabhaker [8]. In the above results, the convexity assumption is very essential and the main proving tools are the continuous selection technique and the existence of maximal elements. Still there have been a number of generalizations and applications of equilibrium existence theorem in generalized games.
