상부 소화관 질환증상에 대한 제산, 소화효소 및 생약 세립의 유용성 (Clinical Evaluation of Granules Containing Antacids, Digestive Eneymes and Herb Drugs in Patients with Various Symptoms of Upper Gastrointestinal Disorders)

  • The purpose of this study is to assess the clinical efficacy and safety of NRM granules which were newly developed as a combination product containing antacids, digestive enzymes and herb drugs for the treatmet of various symptoms of upper gastrointestinal disorders taking SGN granules of similiar but different composition as a control. One hundred and twenty one patients were randomly allocated to receive one pack of either NRM granule(80 cases) or SGN granules(41 cases) three times a day after meal and undergone symptomatic, endoscopic and clinical laboratory assessment before and after two weeks of treatment. The results were as follows; 1. All symptoms except anorexia showed improvements in more than 90% of total cases with each symptom in the NRM group. 2. The general improvement rate was 97.5% in NRM group, and was superior to the(92.5%) of SGN group. 3. Two cases of NRM group and one case of SGN group developed mild nausea, and onecase of SGN group developed mild epigastric soreness. No cases of the two groups developed laboratory(blood, biochemical, urine) abnormalities. 4. The overall clinical efficacy rate was 95.0% in NRM group, 87.8% in SGN group. kccording to the result of this trial, it was concluded that NRM granule was an effective and safe drug and(but not statistically significant) was slightly more efficient than SGN for treatment of various symptoms in upper gastrointestinal disorders.

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of NRM which was newly developed as a combination product containing antacids, digestive enzyme and herbal drugs, and OTA powder, called OHTA'S ISAN on the morret, for the treatment of various symptoms in upper gastrointestinal diseases. 63 patients were recruited, 36 as a treated group with NRM and 27 as a controlled one with OTA. Patients were randomly allocated to receive either NRM or OTA t.i.d. for treatment of upper G-1 symptoms and undergone endoscopic, symptomatic and clinical laboratory assessments before and after 2 weeks. The results were as follows; 1. The general improvement rates of subjective symptoms in upper G-1 diseases were observed in 100%(32/32) for NRM and in 92%(23/25) for OTA. 2. The overall effective rates in terms of the symptoms and endoscopic findings were 88.9%(32/36) for NRM and 85.2%(23/27) ,or OTA respectively. 3. In NRM group, no significant side effects by NRM were observed except a mild and transient vomiting in one patient, but in OTA group treatment was discontinued due to nousea in one patient, However, there were no clinically significant changes detected in the laboratory parameters. According to the result of this trial, it is cocluded that NRM was safe and effective and (but not statistically significant) was superior to OTA in the treatment of gastrointestinal diseases caused by gastritis, gastric and duodenal ulcer, functional gastrointestinal disorder, non-ulcer dyspepsia etc.

흰쥐의 Nucleus Raphe Magnus로부터 분리된 신경세포의 전기생리학적 성질 (Electrophysiological Properties of the Neurons Dissociated from the Nucleus Raphe Magnus in Postnatal Rats)

  • Neurons in the nucleus raphe magnus are involved in descending modulation of nociceptive transmission. In this study, we attempted to investigate electrophysiological properties of the NRM neurons dissociated from the postnatal rat medulla. The NRM neurons in the coronal slices of and the dissociated neurons from the postnatal rat medullae were immunohistochemically identified using antibody against serotonin. Relatively small number of neurons were positively stained in both preparations. The positively stained neurons displayed large cell body with double or multiple neurites. Using whole-cell patch clamp configuration ionic currents were recorded from the dissociated NRM-like neurons selected by criteria such as size and shape of cell body and cell population. Two types, high- and low-threshold, of voltage-dependent calcium currents were recorded from the dissociated NRM-like neurons. Some neurons displayed both types of calcium currents, whereas others displayed only high-threshold calcium current. Voltage-dependent potassium currents were also recorded from the dissociated NRM neurons. Some neurons displayed both transient outward and delayed rectifier currents but others showed only delayed rectifier current. These results suggest that there are at least two types of calcium currents and two types of potassium currents in the dissociated NRM neurons.

Effects of natural raw meal (NRM) on high-fat diet and dextran sulfate sodium (DSS)-induced ulcerative colitis in C57BL/6J mice

  • BACKGROUND/OBJECTIVES: Colitis is a serious health problem, and chronic obesity is associated with the progression of colitis. The aim of this study was to determine the effects of natural raw meal (NRM) on high-fat diet (HFD, 45%) and dextran sulfate sodium (DSS, 2% w/v)-induced colitis in C57BL/6J mice. MATERIALS/METHODS: Body weight, colon length, and colon weight-to-length ratio, were measured directly. Serum levels of obesity-related biomarkers, triglyceride (TG), total cholesterol (TC), low density lipoprotein (LDL), high density lipoprotein (HDL), insulin, leptin, and adiponectin were determined using commercial kits. Serum levels of pro-inflammatory cytokines including tumor necrosis factor-${\alpha}$ (TNF-${\alpha}$), interleukin (IL)-$1{\beta}$, and IL-6 were detected using a commercial ELISA kit. Histological study was performed using a hematoxylin and eosin (H&E) staining assay. Colonic mRNA expressions of TNF-${\alpha}$, IL-$1{\beta}$, IL-6, inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS), and cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) were determined by RT-PCR assay. RESULTS: Body weight and obesity-related biomarkers (TG, TC, LDL, HDL, insulin, leptin, and adiponectin) were regulated and obesity was prevented in NRM treated mice. NRM significantly suppressed colon shortening and reduced colon weight-to-length ratio in HFD+DSS induced colitis in C57BL/6J mice (P < 0.05). Histological observations suggested that NRM reduced edema, mucosal damage, and the loss of crypts induced by HFD and DSS. In addition, NRM decreased the serum levels of pro-inflammatory cytokines, TNF-${\alpha}$, IL-$1{\beta}$, and IL-6 and inhibited the mRNA expressions of these cytokines, and iNOS and COX-2 in colon mucosa (P < 0.05). CONCLUSION: The results suggest that NRM has an anti-inflammatory effect against HFD and DSS-induced colitis in mice, and that these effects are due to the amelioration of HFD and/or DSS-induced inflammatory reactions.

통합자원관리시스템을 이용한 예약 기반의 네트워크 자원 할당 테스트베드 망 (A Reservation based Network Resource Provisioning Testbed Using the Integrated Resource Management System)

  • 연구망에서 융합망이란 의료, 바이오, 항공우주, e-Science 분야 등의 응용 연구자들에게 슈퍼컴퓨터, 클러스터 등의 컴퓨팅 자원을 네트워크 자원과 동시에 동적으로 제공해 줄 수 있는 환경을 의미한다. 한국을 대표하는 연구망인 KREONET은 2008년도부터 융합망 프로젝트를 통해 다음과 같은 기술을 개발하고 있다. 먼저 이기종 네트워크 환경에서 동적으로 연결 지향형 네트워크를 구성 할 수 있는 제어평면 기술을 제공하고 있으며, 그와 더불어 사용자가 원하는 시간 때에 컴퓨팅 자원 및 네트워크 자원을 예약, 할당해 줄 수 있는 통합자원관리시스템 기술을 개발하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 개발되어진 통합자원관리시스템을 이용허여 네트워크 자원의 예약 및 할당이 가능한 테스트베드 네트워크를 소개한다. 사용자로부터 제공 되어진 예약정보를 받아 GRS와 NRM 간에, NRM와 라우터 간에 각각 GNSI, GUNI 인터페이스 메시지를 통해 네트워크 자원을 예약 할당 할 수 있다. 예약 시각의 시작시점에 NRM으로부터 GUNI 인터페이스 메시지가 각 라우터에 전달되어지고 할당된 LSP (Label Switched Path) 경로를 통해 트래픽이 전송됨을 확인하였다.

電子回路의 DC 및 過渡解析을 위한 2次 Newton-Raphson 方法 (Quadratic Newton-Raphson Method for DC and Transient Analyses of Electronic Circuits)

  • 본 논문에서는 회로해석 중에서 DC및 과도(transient)해석에 필요한 비선형 대수 방정식을 풀기 위한 새로운 방법으로서 Quadratic Newton Raphson Method(QNRM)을 제안한다. QNRM은 Newtok-Raphson method(NRM)에 기본을 두고 있지만, 비선형 대수 방정식의 Taylor 급수 전개에서 2차 미분항을 포함한다. 각 반복 과정에서 미지수에 관한 2차식이 되는데 해를 예측함으로서 선형화 할 수 있다. QNRM의 수렴속도를 올리기 위해서는 이 해의 정확한 예측이 매우 중요하명 그 한 방법을 제시하였다. QNRM을 DC및 과도해석에 적용한 결과 NRM을 사용한 것보다 계산시간 및 반복횟우에 있어서 25% 이상 감소됨을 보여주었다.

유역형상과 오염부하배출 특성을 고려한 유달계수 산정 (Estimating the Pollution Delivery Coefficient with Consideration of Characteristics Watershed Form and Pollution Load Washoff)

  • The performance of a stream water quality analysis model depends upon many factors attributed to the geological characteristics of a watershed as well as the distribution behaviors of pollutant itself on a surface of watershed. Because the model run has to import the pollution load from the watershed as a boundary condition along an interface between a stream water body and a watershed, it has been used to introduce a pollution delivery coefficient to behalf of the boundary condition of load importation. Although a nonlinear regression model (NRM) was developed to cope with the limitation of a conventional empirical way, this an up-to-date study has also a limitation that it can't be applied where the pollution load washed off (assumed at a source) is less than that delivered (observed) in a stream. The objective of this study is to identify what causes the limitation of NRM and to suggest how we can purify the process to evaluate a pollution delivery coefficient using many field observed cases. As a major result, it was found what causes the pollution load delivered to becomes bigger than that assumed at the source. In addition, the pollution load discharged to a stream water body from a specific watershed was calculated more accurately.

A Note on Magnetic Properties of Volcanic Rocks Collected from King George Island, Antarctic Peninsula

  • The basic magnetic properties are reported for Eocene andesite and granitic andesite collected from the King Sejong Station and Marsh Runway at King George Island, South Shetland Islands Antarctic Peninsula. Samples A (andesite), B (granitic andesite) and D (granitic andesite) carry stable component of natural remanent magnetization (NRM), but sample C (andesite) unstable URM. These NRM stabilities are consistent with the domain structures estimated by the ratios of $J_R/J_s\;and\;H_{RC}/H_C$ values. On the basis of their Curie temperature, we infer magnetite as the main magnetic carrier for samples A B and C and titanomagnetite for sample D. Our study reveals that samples A and B are suitable for paleomagnetic investigations, whereas sample D is not.

  • Various iron oxide nanoparticle-based radiomaterials(IO-NRM) can be used for multimodal imaging of magnetic resonance imaging and molecular imaging, can be easily sized, can be easily functionalized, and have biocompatibility, making them a very good platform for molecular imaging. Based on the previously revealed molecular imaging technology of iron oxide nanoparticles, this paper introduces the in vivo distribution and use in various diseases through iron oxide nanoparticles-based radiolabeled compounds for diagnosis and treatment of iron oxide nanoparticles-based molecular imaging platforms. We would like to look forward to its potential as a radiopharmaceutical.

유전체 관계행렬 구성에 따른 Landrace 순종돈의 육종가 비교 (Comparison of Breeding Value by Establishment of Genomic Relationship Matrix in Pure Landrace Population)

  • 돼지 유전체 전장의 고밀도 단일염기다형 유전자형을 이용하여 혈연관계행렬을 구성하고 이를 이용하여 유전체 육종가를 추정하였다. 이상치를 제거한 랜드레이스 순종돈 448두의 40,706개 단일염기다형 유전자형 정보를 이용하였으며, G05, GMF, GOF, $GOF^*$ 및 GN의 5가지 방법을 이용하여 유전체 관계행렬을 구성하고 이를 이용하여 유전체 육종가를 추정하였다. GOF 방법에 의하여 계산된 혈연계수가 기존의 혈통정보를 이용한 혈연계수와 가장 작은 편차를 나타내고 평균소수대립유전자빈도를 이용하는 GMF 방법에서는 큰 차이가 나타나 대립유전자빈도 기준이 혈연계수의 평균이동을 유발함을 확인하였으며, $GOF^*$를 제외한 모든 방법에서 정규 분포형태의 멘델리안샘플링이 나타나는 것을 확인하였다. 등지방두께 평균과 90 kg 도달일령에 대한 육종가 추정 모형을 설정하고 유전체 관계행렬을 이용하여 유전모수와 육종가를 추정한 결과 혈통정보를 이용한 육종가와의 상관은 GOF 방법에서 가장 높게 나타났으며, 유전체 관계행렬의 척도(scale)에 베타함수를 이용한 $GOF^*$의 경우 모든 형질에서 유전분산이 크게 추정되어 분모부분을 구성하는 척도는 유전모수 추정치 영향하는 것을 확인하였다. 동일한 표현형 정보량을 이용할 경우 유전체관계행렬을 이용한 육종가 추정의 정확도가 혈통정보를 이용한 육종가보다 높게 나타났으며, 90 kg 도달일령보다는 등지방두께 평균에서 그 차이가 더 크게 나타났다. 집단 내 누적 표현형자료가 부족한 경우, 외래 유전자원이 도입되어 집단 내 혈연관계가 부족할 경우 또는 멘델리안 분포가 전혀 고려되지 않는 어린 동복자손의 육종가를 예측해야 하는 경우에 유전체 정보를 활용하면 유전능력 평가의 정확성을 크게 향상시킬 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.
