유기발광 다이오드의 정공수송층 두께에 따른 미소 공진 효과의 영향에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Effects of Micro Cavity on the HTL Thicknesses on the Top Emission Organic Light Emitting Diode)

  • Top emission organic light-emitting diode is commonly used because of high efficiency and good color purity than bottom - emission organic light-emitting device. Unlike BEOLED, TEOLED contain semi-transparent metal cathode. Because of semi-transparent cathode, micro cavity effect occurs in TEOLED. We optimized this effect by changing the thickness of hole injection layer. Device consists of is indium-tin-oxide / N,N'-Di-[(1-naphthyl)-N,N'-diphenyl]-1,1'-biphenyl-4,4'-diamine (x nm) / tris-(8-hydroxyquinoline) aluminum (50nm) / LiF(0.5nm) / Mg:Ag (1:9), and we changed NPB thickness which is used as HTL in our device in order to study how micro cavity effects are changed by optical path. As the results, NPB thickness at 35nm showed the current efficiency of 8.55Cd/A.

재가 치매노인의 문제행동에 관한 연구 (A Study on Disturbing Behaviors of Demented Elderly Staying at Home)

  • This study has a purpose to provide information to help develop nursing intervention for demented elderly staying at home. For this purpose I analysed the relationship of patients' disturbing behaviors with their demographic and social characteristics, premorbid personality, and present environmental characteristics through questionnaire survey on their family members. The survey was performed through direct interview, telephone contact. and mail in the regions of Pusan and Gyeongnam. Among family members contacted. 112 ones made an appropriate response to the survey. The statistical package SAS was utilized for descriptive statistics, correlation coefficients, stepwise multiple regression, and cluster analysis. The results of the study were as follows: 1) Demographic and social characteristics of the patients surveyed are female 81.3%, average age 81.4 years, lack of schooling 83.0%, spouse dead 73.2%, having no other disease 58.9%, average duration of dementia 3.8 years, no medical treatment for dementia 84.8%, good married life 40.2%, and primary care given by daughter-in-law 49.1%. 2) Aggressive Psychomotor Behavior(APB) was observed in a way statistically meaningful in case that primary care was given by daughter-in-law, while Nonaggressive Psychomotor Behavior(NPB) was in case of good married life and primary care given by other than daughter-in-law and spouse. Verbally aggressive behavior (VAB) was observed in groups of female, spouse dead, bad married life, and daughter-in-law's primary care. As for Passive Behavior(PB), it was observed in case that patients had educational background of not less high than middle school and that they were having medical treatment. Functionally Impaired Behavior(FIB) was observed in age group of 60-69 and more than 90, in patients' group having no other disease, and in case that the duration of dementia was not less than 5 years. 3) Premobid Neuroticism(N) showed positive correlation with APB and VAB, while Openness (O) did negative correlation with PB. Agreeableness (A) was proved to have positive correlation with PA and FIB, but to have negative correlation with APB and VAB. In addition, Conscientiousness(C) showed negative correlation with APB and VAB. 4) The worse the psychosocial environment was, the more NPB and VAB were observed. 5) APB was explained 24% by C and primary care-giver, while NPB was explained 28% by psychosocial environment, having other disease or not, and married life. VAB was explained 40% by A. sex, and married life. On the other hand PB was explained 33% by O, A. N, and having medical treatment or not. But any significant factor was not found to explain FIB. 6) A cluster analysis was performed on disturbing behaviors of demented elderly staying at home. It enabled to regroup the demented elderly in 5 patterns: high scored in NPB, high scored in FIB. high scored in NPB and VAB, moderately scored in most disturbing behaviors, and low scored in all areas. In conclusion, disturbing behaviors of demented elderly not only reflect their premorbid personality in the past, but also are affected by their present psychosocial environment. Therefore, it is necessary to encourage and respond them with understanding their disturbing behaviors in relation to their past premorbid personality. In addition, it is important to provide them better psychosocial environment in order to reduce their disturbing behaviors.

Aeromonas hydrophila PL43이 생산하는 지질분해 효소의 정제 및 특성 (Purification and Characterization of a Lipolytic Enzyme Produced by Aeromonas hydrophila PL43)

  • 지렁이의 장내로부터 분리한 미생물 중에서 지질을 가수분해하는 활성이 높은 미생물을 선발하였으며, 동정하여 Aeromonas hydrophila PL43으로 명명하였다. A. hydrophila PL43이 생산하는 지질분해 효소의 정제는 황산암모늄 침전, DEAE-sepharose FF 이온교환 크로마토그래피, Sepharose S-300HR 겔 크로마토그래피 단계로 수행하였으며 최종적으로 정제한 지질분해 효소는 p-nitrophenyl butyrate (pNPB)를 기질로 사용했을 때, 84.5배로 정제되었고 효소 활성의 회수율은 3.7%이었다. p-nitrophenyl palmitate (pNPP)를 기질로 사용했을 때에는 56.6배로 정제되었고 효소 활성의 회수율은 2.5%이었다. SDS-PAGE를 수행한 결과, A. hydrophila PL43이 생산하는 지질분해효소의 분자량은 약 74 kDa으로 추정되었다. 지질분해 효소의 pH에 대한 영향은 pNPB와 pNPP 기질에서 pH 8.0에서 최대활성이 보였고 pH 7.0−10.0에서 안정하였다. pNPB를 기질로 사용한 경우에는 50℃에서 pNPP를 기질로 사용한 경우는 60℃에서 최대 활성을 나타냈으며, 정제한 지질분해 효소는 20−60℃에서 안정성을 나타내었다. 정제한 지질분해효소는 금속이온 Co2+, Cu2+, Fe2+에 의해서 효소활성이 억제되었으며, EDTA의 metal chelating에 의해 활성이 회복되었다. Inhibitor에 의한 저해는 효소 활성부위의 serine 잔기와 결합하여 효소 활성을 억제하는 PMSF에서 가장 우수하였으며 효소 활성부위의 aspatyl 잔기에 결합하여 효소활성을 억제하는 pepstatin A는 농도가 높아짐에 따라 효소활성을 저해하였다. 따라서 정제한 지질분해 효소는 활성부위에 serine 잔기와 aspartyl 잔기가 있는 것으로 사료되었다. 정제한 지질분해 효소의 Km 값과 Vmax 값은 pNPB를 기질로 사용 했을 때 Km 값과 Vmax 값은 1.07 mM과 7.27 mM/min이고, 기질이 pNPP일 때 Km 값과 Vmax 값은 1.43 mM 과 2.72 mM/min이었다.

Highly Efficient Blue Organic Light-emitting Devices Based on Copper Phthalocyanine/Aromatic Diamine Composite Hole Transport Layer

  • Highly efficient blue organic light-emitting devices (OLEDs) utilizing the idea of copper phthalocyanine (CuPc)/N,N'-bis-(1-naphthyl)-N,N'-diphenyl,1,1'-biphenyl- 4,4'-diamine (NPB) composite hole transport layer (CPHTL) have been fabricated. The effect of inserting CPHTL upon the performance of blue OLEDs with 2-methyl-9,10-di(2-naphthyl)anthracene (MADN) as the blue emitter has been investigated. Compared with the luminous efficiency of the standard blue device without CPHTL (1.33 cd/A), that of the device with 40:60 CuPc/NPB CPHTL has been increased by more than twice up to 2.96 cd/A with a Commission Internationale d'Eclairage (CIE) coordinates of(x = 0.15, y = 0.10) and a power efficiency of 1.46 lm/W (20 mA/$cm^2$) at 6.39 V. The increased device efficiency is attributed to an improved balance between hole and electron currents arriving at the recombination zone.

  • In this work, we have seen the effect of hole-transporting layer in organic light-emitting diodes using N,N'-biphenyl-N,N'-bis-(3-methylphenyl)-[1,1'-biphenyl]-4,4'-diamine(TPD) and N,N'-biphenyl-N,N'-bis-(1-naphenyl)-[l,l'-biphenyl]-4,4'-diamine(NPB). NPB is regarded as a better hole trans porting material than TPD, since it has a higher glass transition temperature($T_g$). And current-voltage, luminance-voltage and external quantum efficiency of device were measured with the thickness variation of buffer layer using copper phathalocyanine(CuPc) am polytetrafluoroethylene (PTEE) at room temperature. We have obtained an improvement of External quantum efficiency when the CuPc 30[nm] and PTFE 1.0[nm] is used.

  • A neutral particle beam(NPB) aimed at the object and receive a small number of neutron signals at the detector to estimate the mass of an object Since there is uncertainty about the location of the axis of the beam relative to the object, we could have aiming errors which may lead to incorrect information about the object. Under the two assumptions that neutral particle scattering distribution and aiming errors have a circular normal distribution respectively, we have derived an exact probability distribution of neutral particles. It becomes a Poison-power function distribution., We proved monotone likelihood ratio property of tlis distribution. This property can be used to find a criteria for the hypothesis testing problem.

  • We demonstrate p-doped organic light emitting diodes (OLEDs) comprising tungsten oxide ($WO_3$) and 1,4-bis[N-(1-naphthyl)-N'-phenylamino]-4,4' diamine (NPB). We propose the NPB : $WO_3$ composition functions as a p-doping layer which significantly improves hole injection that leads to the fabrication of 4-(dicyano-methylene)-2-methyl-6-(p-dimethylaminos tyryl)-4H-pyrane (DCMl) based p-doped OLEDs with high efficiency and long lifetime.

High performance top-emitting OLEDs with copper iodide-doped hole injection layer

  • Efficient top-emitting organic light-emitting diodes were fabricated using copper iodide (CuI) doped NPB as a p-doped hole injection layer to improve hole injection from a silver bottom electrode. The enhanced hole injection is originated from the formation of the charge transfer complex between CuI and NPB. The devices result in high efficiency of 69 cd/A with almost Lambertian emission pattern.

  • Top-emitting organic light-emitting diode (TEOLED) was fabricated on flexible substrate of PES film. Aluminum and Chromium multilayer was used as an anode of TEOLED and the TEOLEDs of Cr(20nm)/Al(100nm)/Cr(20nm)/NPB(60nm)/Alq(60nm)/LiF(1nm)/Al(2nm)/Ag(20nm)/NPB(200nm) has been fabricated on PES film and Si wafer for control device. The TEOLED on PES film which had good anode surface morphology, showed very similar device characteristics to that on Si wafer.

  • We report the photo-(PL) and electroluminescence (EL) properties of new conjugated compounds based on diphenyl benzeneamine moiety, 4,4'-(1,4-phenylenedi-(1E)-2,1-ethenediyl]bis(N,N-diphenyl-benzenamine](PEDB) and 4,4'-([1,1 -biphenyl]-4,4'-diyldi-2,1-ethenediyl)bis[N,N-diphenyl-benzenamine)(BPEDB), as emitting materials and dopant materials. The ITO/m-MTDATA/NPB/DPVBi + BPEDB(1%) /Alq3/LiF/Al device shows blue EL spectrum at 458nm and high efficiency(5.3 cd/A). PEDB as dopant shows also blue EL spectrum around ${\lambda}$ max=463nm and 4.1 cd/A high efficiency in ITO/m-MTDATA/NPB/DPVBi + PEDB(1%)/Alq3/LiF/Al device.
