  • CAPTCHA is a security tool that prevents the automatic sign-up by a spam or a robot. This CAPTCHA usually depends on the smart readability of humans. However, the common and plain CAPTCHA with text-based system is not difficult to be solved by intelligent web-bot and machine learning tools. In this paper, we propose a new sub-image based CAPTCHA system totally different from the text based system. Our system offers a set of cropped sub-image from a whole digital picture and asks user to identify the correct orientation. Though there are some nice machine learning tools for this job, but they are useless for a cropped sub-images, which was clearly revealed by our experiment. Experiment showed that our sub-image based CAPTCHA is easy to human solver, but very hard to all kinds of machine learning or AI tools. Also our CAPTCHA is easy to be generated automatical without any human intervention.

  • Protein structure is highly related to its function and comparing protein structure is very important to identify structural motif, family and their function. In this paper, we construct an integrated database system which has all the protein structure data and their literature. The structure queries from the web interface are compared with the target structures in database, and the results are shown to the user for future analysis. To constructs this system, we analyze the Flat-File of Protein Data Bank. Then we select the necessary structure data and store as a new formatted data. The literature data related to these structures are stored in a relational database to query the my kinds of data easily In our structure comparison system, the structure of matched pattern and RMSD valure are calculated, then they are showed to the user with their relational documentation data. This system provides the more quick comparison and nice analyzing environment.

  • In some image processing system or the users who want to see a specific region of image simply, if a part of the image has higher quality than other regions, it would be a nice service. Specifically in mobile environments, preferential service was needed, as the screen size is small. So, JPEG2000 supplies this function. But this doesn't support the process to extract specific regions or service and does the functions to add some techniques. It is called by ROI(Region-of-Interest). In this paper, we use images including human faces, which are processed most preferentially and compressed with high quality. Before an image is served to the users, it is compressed and saved. Here, the face parts are compressed with higher quality than the background which are relatively with lower quality. This technique can offer better service with preferential transferring of the faces, too. Besides, whole regions of the image are compressed with same quality and after searching the faces, they can be preferentially transferred. In this paper, we use a face extraction approach based on neural network and the preferential processing with EBCOT of JPEG2000. For experimentation, we use images having several human faces and evaluate objectively and subjectively, and proved that this approach is a nice one.

  • In recent years, data transmission using power lines has been much highlighted. Power line is known to be cost-effective communication medium because the entire cable infrastructure has been already established and it is entirely connected with any home. Recently, the target of researches is to communicate data reliably over power lines at the speed of at least 1Mbits/s over the frequency range from 1MHz to 10MHz. OFDM communication system has been used for the high speed data transmission. Next, the conventional and adaptive OFDM systems for high speed data transmission over power line channel are investigated. The performance of AOFDM(adaptive OFDM) over the frequency selective channel with impulsive and narrow-band noise are studied to be a nice solution for high speed data transmission over power lines. The simulation results show that data the rates of the AOFDM are improved about 47% more than the ones of the conventional OFDM over the frequency response of case 4. In the results, the data rate has been much improved by the proposed adaptive algorithm in the frequency selective channel.

  • Nuclear energy in Korea began in 1958, when the Korea's atomic energy act was formulated and the relevant organizations were founded. Since then, notwithstanding the two catastrophe like TMI and Chernobyl accident, Korea made a wise decision to expand the peaceful uses of the nuclear energy as well as to localize the essential nuclear design technology of fuel and nuclear steam supply system. This decision resulted in the success of export of nuclear power plants as well as research reactor in 2010s. The Korea's nuclear policy, which well utilized 'international crisis in nuclear business' as 'opportunity of Korea to get. nuclear technology', is believed nice policy as a role model of nuclear new-comer countries. Based upon the success story of localization of nuclear technology, Korea had an eye for a niche market, which was a basis of development of SMART, Korea-made integral PWR. The operation of a SMART plant can sufficiently provide not only electricity but also fresh water for 100,000 residents. Last two years, Korea's nuclear industry team led by the Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute completed the standard design of SMART and applied to the Korea's regulatory body for standard design approval. Now the Korea's licensing authority is reviewing the design with the relevant documents, and the design team is doing its best to realize its hope to get the approval by the end of this year. From next year, the SMART business including construction and export will be explored by the KEPCO consortium.

  • Axial compression capacity (Pu) is a significant yet complex parameter of concrete-filled steel tube (CFST) columns. This study offers a novel ensemble tool, adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system (ANFIS) supervised by equilibrium optimization (EO), for accurately predicting this parameter. Moreover, grey wolf optimization (GWO) and Harris hawk optimizer (HHO) are considered as comparative supervisors. The used data is taken from earlier literature provided by finite element analysis. ANFIS is trained by several population sizes of the EO, GWO, and HHO to detect the best configurations. At a glance, the results showed the competency of such ensembles for learning and reproducing the Pu behavior. In details, respective mean absolute errors along with correlation values of 4.1809% and 0.99564, 10.5947% and 0.98006, and 4.8947% and 0.99462 obtained for the EO-ANFIS, GWO-ANFIS, and HHO-ANFIS, respectively, indicated that the proposed EO-ANFIS can analyze and predict the behavior of CFST columns with the highest accuracy. Considering both time and accuracy, the EO provides the most efficient optimization of ANFIS and can be a nice substitute for experimental approaches.

  • Purchase of clothes has recently picked up pace at mobile fashion shopping malls. One of the biggest weak points is that consumers can't coordinate clothes. Since individuals increasingly want to make coordination, a fashion coordination system to satisfy the demand should be developed. As the technology of digital clothing which is about reproducing dresses using computer graphic has been activated in the fashion industry, many changes in consumers' life patterns and interests in fashion shopping malls are taking place. Some consumers are increasingly more keenly interested in shopping on the Internet and Smart phones than in offline stores. This study was conducted to understand production of iPhone-based augmented reality fashion fitting contents which is suitable for Koreans' body shape. This system is about designing and materializing UI(User Interface), an augmented reality fitting system, so that users can confirm if they look nice with those fashion items using Smart phones. A new fashion shopping method satisfying user convenience was suggested using the materialized system.

Now the recognition on the Internet fashion shopping matt has increased and it requires scientific and systematic research to understand the Internet fashion marketing system more correctly and to strengthen the marketing activity at the virtual space. A big shortcoming of an Internet fashion mall is that the consumers can't wear clothes themselves. Currently there is no system to cover the shortcoming, It would be nice if a 3D avata wears the clothes on behalf of a consumer after inputting the information of physical sizes of a consumer. The consumers can select many clothes, accessories and even the background. After establishing a complete virtual fashion shopping mall, the consumers who sue the Internet fashion shopping mall could wear the clothes at an online shop establishing an online shopping environment. It will be a sole way to ensure the trust of the consumers. This paper studies the read in reflection by PC camera and sample the edge detection. Virtual fitting system that wears virtual fitting model some clothes is establishment.
