Development of Self-directed Learning Scale for University Students based on the Complex Structure Model (복합구조 모형을 토대로 한 대학생 자기주도학습 측정 도구 개발)

  • This study organize a self-directed learning in complex structures. And based on this, It was developed self-directed learning scale for university students. It was a analyzing literature and reviewing previous studies for developed scale. Therefore, Self-directed learning model was configured into motives, performance behaviors, and learning management behaviors. On the basis of this, the present study constructed 19 sub-factors and developed 114 scale items. First, a preliminary scale was developed and its reliability was assessed by administering the scale to 128 students attending A university. The result showed that the reliability of every sub-factor was good and, therefore, the scale was developed with no item removed. To verify the validity of the scale, this study evaluated reliability and construct validity by administering the scale to 674 students going to A university. The reliability and validity of all sub-factors were found to be good. A confirmatory factor analysis was performed to verify construct validity and the result revealed that the first model was not an appropriate model. For this reason, the first model was modified once by taking the model modification index into account and it was found that ${\chi}^2$ (563.254), CFI=.963, NFI=.951, RMSEA=.064. Thus, the model was verified as a valid model. The results of this study imply that it is possible to point out learners' weaknesses and strengths by measuring activities taking place in the learning process in detail.

A path analysis of factors influencing eating problem among young female adults (성인초기여성의 섭식장애에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 경로 분석)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze factors influencing eating problems among young female adults. Methods: Participants were 193 young female adults aged 19 ~ 29 years who were recruited in August 2017. Four variables related to eating problems in young female adults, including body image dissatisfaction, self-esteem, trait anger, and depression, were measured using reliable instruments. Data were analyzed using the SPSS/WIN 21.0 program and Amos 24.0 for descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation coefficients, and path analysis. Results: The mean for eating problems in young female adults was 8.99, and 9.8% of subjects were classified as high risk with eating problems. Modified model demonstrated good model fit (${\chi}^2$/df 0.47, GFI 0.99, AGFI 0.99, NFI 0.99, SRMR 0.022, RMSEA 0.001). Path analysis showed that body image dissatisfaction had the greatest direct effect on eating problems. Depression did not have a direct effect on eating problems, whereas it had indirect effects on eating problems through body image dissatisfaction as the mediating factor. Self-esteem had direct effects on depression and indirect effects on eating problems through depression and body image dissatisfaction as mediating factors. Trait anger had direct effects on depression and body image dissatisfaction and indirect effects on eating problems through depression and body image dissatisfaction as mediating factors. These factors accounted for 46% of the total variance, and the fit indices of the model satisfied the criteria of fitness. Conclusion: The results of this study reveal the important role of body dissatisfaction and psychological factors such as self-esteem, trait anger, and depression on eating problems. These factors influencing eating problems should be considered when developing programs to improve eating problems in young female adults.

Psychometric Test of Korean Version of Self-Efficacy and Outcome Expectations for Restorative Care Activities Scale among Nurses (한국판 기능유지간호에 대한 간호사의 자기효능감 및 결과기대감 측정도구의 타당도와 신뢰도)

  • The purpose of this study is to measure the validity and reliability of the Korean version of the self-efficacy for restorative care activity (K-SERCA) scale and the outcome expectations for restorative care activity (K-OERCA) scale. Psychometric testing was given to 187 nurses who have worked in 69 long-term care facilities in South Korea via post service and personal visit. Data were collected via structured-questionnaire and analyzed using SPSS/WIN 21.0 and AMOS 22.0. Content, construct validity using confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), criterion validity and internal consistency reliability were conducted. The K-SERCA scale had factor loading of the 10 items ranged from .74 to .87, and was validated by confirmatory factor analysis (CFI=.96, NFI=.94, RMSEA=.10). The K-SERCA scale was also a significantly positive correlation with 'Job satisfaction' (r=.32, p<.001). There was a reliable internal consistency with a Cronbach's ${\alpha}=.94$. The K-OERCA scale had factor loading of the 9 items ranging from .38 to .95, and was validated by confirmatory factor analysis (CFI=.98, NFI=.96, RMSEA=.09). The K-OERCA scale was also a positive correlation with 'Knowledge (r=.26, p<.001)', and 'Job satisfaction (r=.30, p<.001)'. There was a reliable internal consistency with a Cronbach's ${\alpha}=.89$. The results demonstrate that the K-SERCA and K-OERCA scales had satisfactory validity and reliability to measure self-efficacy and outcome expectations for restorative care activities among nurses who have worked in long-term care facilities in South Korea.

A Path Analysis of Influencing Variables on Quality of Life for Office worker Middle-aged males (직장 중년 남성의 삶의 질의 영향요인 경로분석)

  • This study was conducted to determine the casual relationship among family support, social support, workplace spirituality, and quality of life (QOL) for middle-aged, male office workers, as well as the effects of family support, and social support on their QOL with the mediation of workplace spirituality. The participants were 288 middle-aged, male office workers, and the data were collected from 14 October to 30 November, 2016, through questionnaires. The data were analyzed with descriptive statistics and Pearson's correlations using PASW 21.0, while the AMOS 18.0 program was used for structural equation modeling (SEM), and the fitness of the final model was determined using RMSEA .05, GFI .98, AGFI .94 and NFI .96. The results of this study can be summarized as follows. There were correlations between family support, social support, workplace spirituality, and QOL for the middle-aged, male office workers. Second, family support (${\beta}=.60$, p<.001) and social support (${\beta}=.47$, p<.001) had a direct effect on their workplace spirituality. Third, family support had direct (${\beta}=.12$, p=.002) and indirect (${\beta}=.10$, p<.001), while social support also had direct (${\beta}=.12$, p<.001) and indirect (${\beta}=.08$, p<.001) effects on their QOL. The findings also suggested that workplace spirituality had a partial mediating effect between the family support, social support, and QOL of the middle-aged, male office workers.

Construction and Validation of Infection Control Practice Scale for Dental Hygienist (치과위생사의 감염관리 실천도 측정도구의 개발과 타당화)

  • Infection control is now recognized as an important quality indicator in dental health service setting. The purpose of this study was to develop and validate Dental Hygienist's Infection Control Practice Scale for quality management of dental health service in Korea. The data of 254 dental hygienists was subjected to exploratory factor analysis using SPSS 16.0 and confirmatory factor analysis using AMOS 16.0. The total items of preliminary scale were 21 items and 5 subscale. Principal component analysis was completed with Varimax rotation. The results show a change in factor structure from 5 factor solution to 4 factor solution. The confirmatory factor analysis confirmed the four subscales(Immunization and periodic tests, Clinical procedure, Handwashing, Personal protection) which have a total of 12 items. After the item deleted because factor loading was low, measured model was tested. The results of the measurement model indicated fit indices: $x^2$= 79.593(df = 38, 0 = 0.000), RMR = 0.045, GFI = 0.940, CFI = 0.904, AGFI = 0.896, NFI = 0.837, TLI = 0.861, RMSEA = 0.67. The squared correlation between four constructs were less than the average variance extracted(AVE) of four constructs. Multiple regression analysis was completed. Dependent variable was the perceived infection control practice by dental hygienist. Independent variables were four summated subscales(R = 0.552, $R^2$= 0.304, Adjusted $R^2$= 0.431, F = 25.813, p = 0.000). Unstandardized coefficients of three independent variables were statistically significant.

The Influence of Deluxe Hotel Culinary Staff's Psychological Contract Breach on Job Satisfaction and Turnover Intention: Focus on the Moderating Effects of Staff Careers (특 1급 호텔 조리종사원이 인지하는 심리적 계약위반이 직무만족도 및 이직의도에 미치는 영향: 경력의 조절효과를 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study was to better understand the influence of psychological contract breach in deluxe hotel culinary staff memeberss on job satisfaction and turnover intention. Based on a total of 280 samples obtained for empirical research, this study reviewed the reliability and fitness of the research model and verified a total of 4 hypotheses using the AMOS program. The hypothesized relationships in the model were simultaneously tested by using a structural equation model(SEM). The proposed model provided an adequate fit to the data, ${\chi}^2=334.152$ (p<.001), df=162, CMIN/DF=2.063, GFI=.893, AGFI=.861, NFI=.919, CFI=.956, RMSEA=.062. The model's fit, as indicated by these indexes, was deemed satisfactory, thus providing a good basis for testing the hypothesized paths. The SEM showed that relational contract breach (${\beta}=-.236$) had a negative significant influence on job satisfaction. In addition, job satisfaction (${\beta}=-.236$) had a negative significant influence on turnover intention. The moderating effects on career the formulated model was verified. Limitations and future research directions are also discussed.

The Effects of Consumption Value Perceived by Resort Customers on Customer Satisfaction and Behavioral Intention : Focusing on Moderating Effects by Gender and Marital Status (리조트 고객의 소비가치와 고객만족 및 행동의도와의 인과관계 연구: 성별과 결혼유무에 따른 조절효과를 중심으로)

  • This study aims to understand the influence of consumption value perceived by resort customers upon customer satisfaction and behavioral intention. Based on total 324 customers obtained from the empirical research, this study reviewed reliability and fitness of the research model and verified total 4 hypotheses with AMOS program. The hypothesized relationships in the model were tested simultaneously by using a structural equation model(SEM). The proposed model provided an adequate fit to the data, ${\chi}^2$=467.489(p<.001), df=326, CMIN/DF=1.434, GFI=.911, AGFI=.889, NFI=.881, CFI=.960, RMSEA=.037. The model's fit, as indicated by these indexes, was deemed satisfactory, thus it provided a good basic for testing the hypothesized paths. The result showed that the functional value(${\beta}$ .233, p<.01), social value(${\beta}$ .125, p<.05), emotion value(${\beta}$ .310, p<.001), epistemic value(${\beta}$ .144, p<.05) had a positive significant influence on customer satisfaction. Also, customer satisfaction(${\beta}$ .225, p<.01) had a positive significant influence on behavioral intention. The moderating effects by gender and marital status were found not to exist. Limitations and future research directions are also discussed.

The Effects of Culinary Employees' Stress Coping Styles on Counterproductive Work Behaviors and Turnover Intention in a Deluxe Hotel (특급 호텔 조리사의 스트레스 대처 전략이 반생산적 과업 행동 및 이직의도에 미치는 영향 연구)

  • The purposes of this study is to understand the influence of culinary employees' stress coping styles in the deluxe hotel industry on counterproductive work behaviors and turnover intention. Based on total 345 culinary employees obtained from empirical research, this study reviewed the reliability and fitness of the research model and verified a total of 2 hypotheses using the AMOS program. The hypothesized relationships in the model test simultaneously by using a structural equation model(SEM). The proposed model provided an adequate fit to the data, ${\chi}^2$=736.474(p<0.001), df=233, GFI=.853, NFI=.901, CFI=.930, RMSEA=.079. Hypothesis $1^a$, which hypothesized a positive relationship between employees coping styles(avoid coping, ${\beta}$=.325; emotion coping, ${\beta}$=.261; job coping, ${\beta}$=-.203) and person-counterproductive work behavior was supported. As predicted by, Hypothesis $1^b$, employees' coping styles(job coping, ${\beta}$=-.307; avoid coping, ${\beta}$=.262; emotion coping, ${\beta}$=.146) had significant positive effects on organization-counterproductive work behavior. Also, employees' person-counterproductive work behavior(${\beta}$=.431) had significant positive effects on turnover intention(Hypothesis 2 was partially supported). Limitations and future research directions are also discussed.

  • This study is to make an empirical analysis of star marketing used as die means of sales promotion for Christmas cakes regardless of high advertising cos1s, by understanding the influence of attributes of celebrity advertising models for advertisements of bakery companies over die Christmas season on advertising attitude, corporation reputation and reliability which are recognized by consumers. The verification results were judged as important core elements for successful management in bakery industry. Since bakery brands are losing their differentiations in both functional and physical aspects, the study aimed to offer strategic suggestions to bakery industry. The result of study modelling were GFI=0.911, AGFI=0.887, NFI=0.935, CFI=0.979, RMR=.126 at the level of $x^2$=313.294(df-=218, p<0.001). First, model credibility and model attractiveness of advertising models bad a positive(+) influence on advertising attitude. Second, advertising attitude bad a positive(+) influence on corporation reputation and reliability. Third, corporate reputation also bad a positive(+) influence on corporate reliability.

The Influence of Coffee Shop Employee Non-verbal Communication on the Brand Image and Customer Satisfaction (커피전문점 종사원의 비언어적 커뮤니케이션이 브랜드 이미지, 고객만족도에 미치는 영향 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to understand the influence of non-verbal communication of coffee shop employees on brand image and customer satisfaction. Based on a total of 317 samples obtained for empirical research, this study reviewed the reliability and fitness of the research model and verified a total of 3 hypotheses using the AMOS program. The hypothesized relationships in the model were simultaneously tested through the use of a structural equation model(SEM). The proposed model provided an adequate data fit, ${\chi}^2=434.380$ (p<0.001), df=178, CMIN/DF=2.440, GFI=0.886, AGFI=0.852, NFI=0.900, CFI=0.938, RMSEA=0.068. The model's fit, as indicated by these indexes, was deemed satisfactory, thus providing a good basis for testing the hypothesized paths. The SEM showed that kinesics(${\beta}=.311$), paralanguage(${\beta}=.242$), physical appearance(${\beta}=.382$) and proxemics(${\beta}=.481$) had a significant positive influence on brand image. In addition, brand image(${\beta}=.217$) had a significant positive influence on customer satisfaction. Furthermore, the effect of coffee shop employee non-verbal communication on customer satisfaction was found to be partially mediated by the brand image.
