Two new naturalized species, Amaranthus hybridus and Crepis tectorum, are reported here. Descriptions and illustrations of the species and comparison of morphology with related species are provided. Amaranthus hybridus was first found at Nanjido, Seoul and is widely distributed in the central and southern part of Korean peninsula. New Korean name is given as "Ginteolbireum". It is well distinguished from the related species, A. retroflexus and A. patulus, by its late flowering time (September to October), sparse hair on the leaves, similar length between tepal and fruit, and long inflorescence without division. Crepis tectorum was first found at the entrance of Weoljeongsa Temple in Pyongchang-gun, Gangwon-do and spreads rapidly to other areas. New Korean name is given as "Nadomindulle".
Sisyrinchium micranthum Cav., a newly naturalized species, was found in Seogwipo, Jeju-do. This species is native to Central and South America and is reported as a widely invasive species around the world. Sisyrinchium micranthum is a sister species of S. rosulatum E. P. Bicknell (Deung-Sim-But-Kkot in Korean), reported as an invasive species earlier in Korea, and both species are members of the subgenus Echthronema. Sisyrinchium micranthum is distinguished from S. rosulatum by the urceolate shape of its flowers and by the large size of its fruits and seeds. Its local name is "Yeon-Deung-Sim-But-Kkot" based on the light blue corolla. We also found that Sisyrinchium angustifolium Mill., previously used for Deung-Sim-But-Kkot, was misapplied. It belongs to the subgenus Sisyrinchium and is morphologically very different from S. rosulatum. We corrected the scientific name of Deung-Sim-But-Kkot by changing it from S. angustifolium to S. rosulatum based on the type specimens, original descriptions, and recent studies.
The resource plants at the reclaimed seaside in Songdo was listed 170 taxa: 39 families, 113 genera, 144 species, 23 varieties, 2 forms and 1 hybrid. Two newly naturalized species were recorded from Incheon (Youngjong-do) and Ulsan. Among them, Bidens polylepis S.F. Blake (Asteraceae) was widespread and was found in the following locations: Unbuk bridge, Unbuk-dong, Jung-gu in Incheon, and Chuiseosan, Banggi-ri, Samnam-myeon as well as a Saemmul mountain cabin on Jaeaksan, Sangbuk-myeon in Ulju-gun, Ulsan. Bidens polylepis can be distinguished from congeneric species by its larger ray-flowers. The Korean name of Bidens polylepis was newly formulated based on the characteristic of its yellow ray-flowers and on the Korean name of the genus Bidens (Asteraceae). The other species, numerous populations of Saponaria officinalis L. (Caryophyllaceae) were found in two areas in Jeotgae village, Unseo-dong, Jung-gu, Incheon. Saponaria officinalis can be distinguished from congeneric species in the family by two features, shallow calyx teeth and a petal with appendages at the base of the blade.
Distributional surveys for vascular plants were carried out in Daecheong island, Ongjin-gun, South Korea, from 2008 to 2010. The vascular plants recognized from the island were in tatal 402 taxa that were of 90 families, 269 genus, 350 species, 3 subspecies, 43 varieties, 6 forms. Among the investigated 402 taxa, 2 Korean endemic plants, 8 rare and endangered plants which was designated by Korea Forest Service, 35 specially plants designated by the Ministry of Environment were included. The naturalized plants were identified as 40 taxa and the percentage of naturalized plants index was 9.9%. In addition, an unrecorded species, Thyrocarpus glochidiatus Maxim (Boraginaceae), was recognized from the island.

The purpose of this study is to propose vegetation management devices through analyzing the actual vegetation, flora, plant community structure and soil chemical concentrations in Weolmi urban nature park, Incheon. The actual vegetation of Weolmi Park in various areas is composed of urbanization area(2 types, 25.9%), landscape planting area(4 types, 16.1%), grass and marsh area(5 types, 7.6%) and mountain forest areal(14 types, 50.4%). The flora is composed of 295 taxa with 80 families, 253 species, 35 varieties and 7 formas, and among them there are 16 naturalized plant families, 39 species, 3 varieties. In reflection of size, the number of the species seems high but most of the them are under influence of human disturbance. Nine survey plots of plant community structure are classified into two groups. One is the semi-natural plant community(Prunus sargentii-Acer palmatum, Quercus accutissma-Prunus sargentii, Quercus serrata-Quercus accutissma-Prunus sargentii, Prunus sargentii, and Zelkova serrata-Prunus sargentii) that migrated finn the planting forest to the natural forest and the other is planting forest(Pinus koraienssis-Pinus thunbergii-Abies holophylla-Chamaectparis obtusa, Prunus sargentii, Pinus thunbergii-Alnus firma, Zelkova serrata). The average pH is 4.65 which means the soil acidity is quite high. The concentration of K, Ca, Mg and base saturation is very low. It seems that the environmental pollutants from Incheon Port and industrial plants near by survey site and long-distance transport of air pollutants from China made the soil condition worse. On the basis of the results above, six vegetation management devices are suggested: 1) removing the hazard plants(Pueraia thunbergiana and Humulus japonica), 2) natural landscape management of the middle and long term, 3) increasing species diversity, 4) Robinia pseudoacacia management, 5) keeping the naturalized plants from being distributed any further inside the mountain forest, 6) improving soil acidification.
Two naturalized species, Polygonum ramosissimum Michx. (Polygonaceae) and Spergularia bocconi (Scheele) Graebn. (Caryophyllaceae) were found along the southwest seashore of the Korean Peninsula. Polygonum ramosissimum is distinguished from other species in the same genus taxa as follows: not granular achens, lanceolate or oblanceolate leaves. Spergularia bocconi is distinguished from other species in the same genus taxa by having glandular hairs on stems, leaves, peduncles, and outer surfaces of sepals. We provide here a description and photographs of two species and a key to related taxa in Korea.
The investigated Varcular plants in Youngsan River Streams of Downtown in Gwangju Metropolitan City consist of total 437 taxa: 2 forms, 49 varieties, 386 species, 265 genera, 91 families.
