4방향 선분 분리법에 의한 도트 패턴의 크기 변화에 관한 연구 (A Study on Size Transformation for Dot Pattern by the 4-Direction Line Segmentation Algorithm)

  • This paper proposes the four directional line segmentation method to transform the size of dot patterns such as character dot patterns, line drawings and so on, while maintaining the quality of original pattern. At the first, this method extracts three kinds of line segmentm, namely horizontal, vertical line and slant line, and then transforms dot patterns using the each rules which are appricable to each kind of extracted line segments. Our experimental results show that transformation of dot patterns can be succeed in good quality without implementing some kinds of smoothing processes, covering the continuous transforming ratio of 0.5 to N times.

  • This paper prsents an end-point control of a one-link flexible arm with a payload by using closed loop control. Tip position of arm is shifted by the base motion according to DC servomotor, whivh is driven by a feedback signal composed of the tip displacement and the estimated tip velocity. The shifting problem of the arm from initial position to desired position is considered by the variation of the displacement gain Gd and velocity agin Gv. Theoretical results are obtained by applying the method of the Laplace transform to the governing equations and the method of numerical inversion. This system is composed of a flexible arm with payload, DC servomotor, and a ballscrew mechanism. The flexible arm is mounted on a mobile stage driven by a servomotor and ballscrew. In controlling the tip displacement of flexible arm, the fundamental bode vibration is supressed more rapidly with an increase of the velocity feedback gain Gv and the feedback displacemenmt gain Gd. Theretical responses are approximately in good agreement with those obtained experimentally.

EA as an Actionable Architecture

  • Gartner predicts that by 2012, 40% of EA programs will be stopped due to poor execution and the failure of delivering business value. An organization needs a practical solution to achieve an EA vision. The EA essential approach should be that of business service and process orientation than systems and IT orientation. We propose an Actionable Enterprise Architecture (AEA) which is based on BPM (Business Process Management) and SOA (Service Oriented Architecture), and connected to service & process orientation and engineering. The architecture proposed provides traceability between service-oriented enterprise architecture and its solution. The proposed architecture can transform enterprise architecture from conceptual to physical levels (solutions) with a service and business process paradigm.

AN APPROACH FOR SOLVING OF A MOVING BOUNDARY PROBLEM

  • In this paper we shall study moving boundary problems, and we introduce an approach for solving a wide range of them by using calculus of variations and optimization. First, we transform the problem equivalently into an optimal control problem by defining an objective function and artificial control functions. By using measure theory, the new problem is modified into one consisting of the minimization of a linear functional over a set of Radon measures; then we obtain an optimal measure which is then approximated by a finite combination of atomic measures and the problem converted to an infinite-dimensional linear programming. We approximate the infinite linear programming to a finite-dimensional linear programming. Then by using the solution of the latter problem we obtain an approximate solution for moving boundary function on specific time. Furthermore, we show the path of moving boundary from initial state to final state.

THE SOJOURN TIME AND RELATED CHARACTERISTICS OF THE AGE-DEPENDENT BRANCHING PROCESS

  • An age-dependent branching process where disasters occur as a renewal process leading to annihilation or survival of all the cells, is considered. For such a process, the total mean sojourn time of all the cells in the system is analysed using the regeneration point technique. The mean number of cells which die in time t and its asymptotic behaviour are discussed. When the disasters arrival as a Poisson process and the lifetime of the cells follows exponential distribution, elegant inter- relationships are found among the means of (i) the total number of cells which die in time t (ii) the total sojourn time of all cells in the system upto time t and (iii) the number of living cells at time t. Some of the existing results are deduced as special cases for related processes.

A NEW METHOD FOR SOLVING THE NONLINEAR SECOND-ORDER BOUNDARY VALUE DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS

First, we transform the problem to a first order system of ordinary differential equations(ODE's)and then define an optimization problem related to it. The new problem in modified into one consisting of the minimization of a linear functional over a set of Radon measures; the optimal measure is then approximated by a finite combination of atomic measures and the problem converted approximatly to a finite-dimensional linear programming problem. The solution to this problem is used to construct the approximate solution of the original problem. Finally we get the error functional E(we define in this paper) for the approximate solution of the ODE's problem.

SOLVING A SYSTEM OF THE NONLINEAR EQUATIONS BY ITERATIVE DYNAMIC PROGRAMMING

  • In this paper we use iterative dynamic programming in the discrete case to solve a wide range of the nonlinear equations systems. First, by defining an error function, we transform the problem to an optimal control problem in discrete case. In using iterative dynamic programming to solve optimal control problems up to now, we have broken up the problem into a number of stages and assumed that the performance index could always be expressed explicitly in terms of the state variables at the last stage. This provided a scheme where we could proceed backwards in a systematic way, carrying out optimization at each stage. Suppose that the performance index can not be expressed in terms of the variables at the last stage only. In other words, suppose the performance index is also a function of controls and variables at the other stages. Then we have a nonseparable optimal control problem. Furthermore, we obtain the path from the initial point up to the approximate solution.

  • 우리나라 담자균류 12균주 중 톱밥의 lignin을 잘 분해하는 균주 Pleurotus ostreatus 1주를 선발할 수 있었다. 이 균주는 톱밥에 20%의 미강을 첨가하고 보통배지에 첨가되는 무기염을 첨가하면 $30^{\circ}C$에서 30일이면 lignin의 49%를 분해할 수 있었고 다시 무기 N을 단백질로 전환시킬 수도 있으며 여기서 단백질 증가율은 26%였다.

반복적 베이시안 모델을 이용한 특징점 기반 객체 추적 방법 (Feature-based Object Tracking Method Using Iterative Bayesian Model)

  • 본 논문에서는 반복적인 베이시안 모델을 이용한 특징점 기반 객체 추적 방법을 제안한다. 제안하는 방법은 특징점 추정 오류를 최소화하고, 추적하는 객체에 해당되는 특징점들만을 선택함으로써, 최적의 특징점들을 이용하여 변환 행렬을 추정한다. 특징점 추정 오류는 Census transform과 해밍 거리를 이용하여 최소화하고, 외곽 특징점(outlier feature)를 제거하기 위하여 반복적인 베이시안 모델을 사용한다. 보행자와 차량등을 이용한 실험 결과, 제안한 방법이 기존 방법에 비하여 좀 더 우수한 성능을 보여준다.

Methacryloxypropyltrimethoxysilane(MAPTMS)의 광그라프트에 의한 PET직물의 열적 안정성 향상 (Improved Thermal Stability of PET Fabrics by Photografting of Methacryloxypropyltrimethoxysilane(MAPTMS))

  • Methacryloxypropyl trimethoxysilane (MAPTMS), a hybrid organic-inorganic monomer, was photografted onto PET fabric using benzophenone (BP) as a photoinitiator. It was found that a UV energy of 43.2J/$cm^2$ was required to optimally photograft the MAPTMS onto PET fabrics which was applied with an aqueous formulation of 10% MAPTMS, 20% BP and 0.5% N-Methyldiethanol amine (MDEA). The MDEA additive was efficient in reducing atmospheric oxygen inhibition of polymer radicals which eliminated compulsory nitrogen inerting. The surface grafting of PET fabrics was verified by fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) and scanning electron spectroscopy (SEM). The grafted PET fabrics with the hybrid monomer showed higher thermal stability due to the introduced silane component in the monomer as ascertained by higher char content at 800$^{\circ}C$, which increased to 14.5% for the 15.8% grafting compared to 8.2% for the untreated.
