In essence, Musical theatre is a multimedia show, so when you listen to musical numbers, you will experience it through multiple senses. Therefore, in order to analyze musical numbers, emphasis should be placed on its interaction with various media such as lyrics, dance, and theatre, which have a direct association with the music. Through the Conceptual Blending Theory, which can comprehensively consider the combination of text and music, the combination of movement and music, and the combination of visual elements and music, this study analyzes the music of Musical . By exploring the result of interaction between lyrics and music, the interaction between choreography and music, and the interaction between stage and music, the artistry and intrinsic value of the work can be proved. In addition, we can discover the process and system of integrated interpretation through music analysis applying Conceptual Blending Theory. Therefore, Conceptual Blending Theory has sufficient utility as a methodology for music analysis of musical theatre.

The Musical Slide Show MAF, which currently being standardized by MPEG, conveys the concept of combining several established standard technologies in a single file format. It defines the format of packing up MP3 audio data, along with MPEG-7 Simple Metadata Profile and MPEG-21 Digital Item Declaration metadata; with JPEC images and optional text, and synchronizes them all together to create a slideshow of JPEC image data associated to MP3 audio data during the audio playback. The implementation of Musical Slide Show MAF can be a music karaoke file where users can sing along while listening to the music, view the JPEG slideshow and reading the lyrics; or a story-telling file where users can listen to the narrated story by looking at the related illustration slideshow of the story In this paper we present the tool to producing the Musical Slide Show MAF contents. Regardless the knowledge of user on the MAF file format, the authoring tool simplify the manner of packaging several multimedia contents into single file.

Now, the proportion of musical was strength in the stage art part to the past considerably as called musical boom. After 1990's, as if it was rise as rise of musical exclusive theater, it was development seriously in Korean musical. But presently, the examined musical product state as the ratio of import musical and creative musical is about 6 to 4 or 7 to 3, it was a inferiority of creative musical in a flood of import musical. So, this study researched for example Kim Kyun Hyoung' writing and Yu Min Suck' production, creative musical 'This is my destiny...' - played by Dept. of multimedia and film, Honam University in september 2007 - this researcher should give much theoretical and substantial assistance to stage costume producer by studying about producing costume of a aria story, a mental state. As I have studied sofar, in designing a stage costume for musical, the overall comprehension of the musical actor's bodies have to be considered. Though performing the manufacture of the really performance work. It is a field that needs various professional knowledge, and only when a musical is produced based on such theories, it will be possible to deliver the theme of the me of the play more effectively, becomes help in the efficiently theatrical costume manufacture realistically and express the various symbolical meanings.

The development of digital technology has made consumers more knowledgeable about products than ever before. In this regard, experts have defined consumers in the digital age as knowledge seekers and pointed out that they are proficient in acquiring and sharing product knowledge prior to purchase. For service goods such as musicals, product prior knowledge executes strong effect due to such characteristics as intangibility, inseparabilit y,and heterogeneity. Prior studies in the field of performing arts, including musicals, have revealed that the prior knowledge of the audience has a positive effect on the satisfaction of the audience and WOM(word-of-mouth) intention. However, studies in the marketing field argue that consumers' high prior knowledge may have a negative impact on customer satisfaction and product evaluation depending on conditions, as they are more likely to compare, review, and expect products more closely. Therefore, in this study, we tried to identify under what conditions the musical prior knowledge enhances audience satisfaction and WOM intention. According to the results of previous studies, a mediating effect model was established in which the musical prior knowledge enhances the WOM intention through the mediation of the audience satisfaction. Then, Transportation was introduced as a mediation variable and it was verified whether the level changed the audience satisfaction and WOM intention. The reason for the introduction of the transportation construct reflects the results of previous research that the story is important component of musical. The results showed that the musical prior knowledge has a significant effect on WOM intention through the mediation of audience satisfaction. The moderating effect of transport was also significant on the relationship between musical prior knowledge and audience satisfaction. Lastly, through moderated-mediation analysis, it was confirmed that transportation moderates the mediating effect that prior knowledge affects on the WOM intention through audience satisfaction. Based on the results, we demonstrated that a musical story is fairly important to satisfy audiences with high prior knowledge. This study could contribute to the related filed in that it introduced the transportation construct for the first time, thereby broadening the understanding of the musical audiences in the era of smart consumers.

Ah! My Goddess has impressive narrative structure including a "narrative as a discourse," a "narrative as a story" and a "narrative by narrator": in a narrative as a discourse, North and South Korean soldiers make friendship; in a narrative by a narrator, main characters (including Sun-ho, Seok-gu, Ju-hwa, Chang-seop and Dong-hyeon) appear in the outer story and narrate the inner story of characters (including Dong-hyeon, Goddess and Seok-gu) within the frame of a play within a play; and in a narrative as a story, reality and fantasy intersect by the appearance of the "Goddess." This narrative structure contributes largely to 1) the character formation of space, 2) the strategic minimization of the stage, 3) the multiplicity of main characters, 4) the repetition of similar life story, and 5) the flexible change of a point of view. And the musical number serves as dramatic functions such as 1) pursuing the multiplicity of characters, 2) maximizing the effect of the expression of tragic feelings, 3) drawing audience's interest by irony and fantasy, 4) evoking the nostalgia for delicate feelings and pure wishes, and 5) ordinary female characters' playing the role of healing and salvation, thereby contributing to the reconstruction of reality and the style of fantasy.

Among the styles of performing arts, perhaps the genre that has attracted the largest audience would be musical. Popularity of musical has brought diverse changes in our performing arts market, and, upon emerging another musical genre, called 'Korean Traditional Musical Comedy,' it has been well-received by the audiences. 'Korean Traditional Musical Comedy' is a word that are formed by merging two other terms such as 'Korean Traditional Music' and 'Musical (Comedy).' In the meantime, however, it has yet some problems in order to be defined as the genre that has concrete concepts. It is because the term such as Korean Traditional Musical Comedy was created being closely associated with a marketing purpose rather than a term that defines the characteristics of a genre of performing arts. Although this new musical genre has drawn attentions of many audiences by adding 'Musical Comedy' to 'Korean Traditional Music' that was not quite popular to the public, it still does not have any established forms so that there is a fine line between "Korean Traditional Musical Comedy" and another genre like traditional style folk opera ("Changgeuk"). Looking at the characteristics of the musical work called 'Korean Traditional Musical Comedy, in general, first of all, it is a performance where music and drama are played. Here, the distinctive characteristic of this musical is that 'Korean Traditional Music' is sung. And the kinds of Korean traditional musics being sung are mainly Pansori (dramatic story-singing) and folk-songs, and, in most cases, Korean traditional musical instruments are being used as accompanying music. In this paper, the researcher investigated the aspects of experiment centering around Korean Musical Group, Taroo. These days, various experiments has been repeated not only for the works of Taroo but other musical work presently called 'Korean Traditional Musical Comedy' also. Having encompassed overall performance factors including use of musical instruments, dance, acting, materials for drama as well as music in drama, the researcher has gone through experiments repeatedly. Meanwhile, however, the subject matters that make 'Korean Traditional Musical Comedy' mostly attractive to the audiences are music and songs or sounds. ["Sori" also called "Chang" (唱)] Particularly, under the current situation of our musicals, the role of "Sori" is extremely important. The factor that plays absolutely most important role in acceptance and transformation of "Sori" is the created Pansori. Since the created Pansori is composed with new rhythmic patterns and new narrative poems, it tells the present story. Also it draws good responses from the audiences owing to easy conveyance of dialogues. And, its new style brings diversification to organization of musical instruments, so then this leads to the arrangements of music for Korean traditional music instruments, as well as instrumental music ensemble, orchestra, and jazz band, etc. Likewise, upon appearing creative musics in 'Korean Traditional Musical Comedy,' professional music and vocal compositions have begun to emerge naturally. And, the song specialist and writer, of course, staffs including direction, lighting, and sounds, etc are required. That is, professional composition method are forced to be introduced to all areas. Other than this, there are many music pieces which are based on our unique songs and sounds ("Sori") and such traditional factors as use of lead singer for ceremony or chorus, and the method that puts weight on Pansori. Accordingly many things accomplished. However, it is required that 'Korean Traditional Musical Comedy' go through numerous discussions and more experiments. Above all, the most important things are the role of actor and actress, and their changes, and training of actor and actress further. Good news is there are good audience responses. 'Korean Traditional Musical Comedy' is an open genre. As musicals are divided into several domains according to the characteristics thereof, 'Korean Traditional Musical Comedy' will be able to show its distinctive features in various styles according to embodiment.

The aim of the study was to investigate whether music drama activity has an affect on literacy, musical ability and physical expression in preschoolers. The subjects of this experiment were 48 five-year-old children who were selected from two kindergarten in geonbook(experimental group : 24, comparison group : 24). The children in experimental group were asked to act four young children's music drama through sixteen weeks. The children in comparison group were involved in activity referred to in storybook. The data gained from the research were analyzed using a SPSS(p=.05) computer program. The main results in this study are as follows : First, there were partly significant differences in young children's music drama activity in terms of rating of literacy. Especially, story understanding as indicated by literacy test scores in the experimental group was significantly different. There were also significant differences in young children's music drama activity in terms of rating of musical ability and physical expression.

In Korea the musical was granted very close an art however recently it is rapidly take the position a new trend of the mass culture industry with some of promoted lifestyle due to increased income and with spreading consumer culture of well-being. This study is to consider the musical as a way of OMSU to observe how to produce the musical the with the original one that recorded as the best animation program with highly broadcasting rate as it is broadcasted on TV. It is belongs to a category of musical or a performance, has a good feature of children's program with arranging the broadcasting. Through this study, developing performance art to OSMU, it wishes to utilize people that produce the performance applying the contents of animations and cartoons, to make value added This study is for presenting an effective way of OSMU, with studying and researching the production process of the musical . The original source the cartoon and animation is transferred to a musical with a technical feature of digital audio-visual, with characterizing to an attractive musical characters from the original characters, and with humorize twisted story structure based on the basic storyline.

The purpose of this study is to find out how children's musical is done in the early childhood education field. To find out the realities of children's musical watching, seek problems and way to improve, educationally new alternative, we selected subjects of study as follows. First, how children's musical of the early childhood education center is done? Second, how the education related children's musical of the early childhood education center is done? Third, what is the problem and way to improve of watching children's musical? To find out these, the result of the teachers(159 people) who are working the kidergarten and the early childhood education center is as follows. First, Children were very interested in watching musical and could get new, various experience and culture. Second, when watching musical, kindergarten and the early education center did pre-exploration everytime except same place. second, Of post-education activity, drawing activity related with musical content, story-making activity, developing to child's act are educationally effective. Third, whey watching musical, there is much pressure about danger and safety. So it is hard to control when children is moving. This significant result shows the importance of educational effects of the musical watching and the proposed expansion of the opportunity to experience a musical watching of the various educational approaches.

This study aims to propose and apply a song analysis method for musical songs and acting. Prior to rehearsing a musical on stage, students and actors practice diverse exercises ranging from singing, acting and dancing. Among them, singing a musical song requires the actor not only to learn the pitch, beat and melody of the music but also to express the story and scene of the character in combination. Previous studies on analysis focused on research from the perspective of individual elements of singing, acting, and dancing rather than the proposal of comprehensive analysis methods. It is time for comprehensive analysis methods to be developed to practice musical songs and demonstrate them on stage. This study selected "Epiphany" sung by Todd from the musical Sweeney Todd(1979) as the subject of analysis. The song was analyzed in five stages: synopsis, music analysis, lyrics analysis, Uta Hagen's The Six Steps analysis, and Michael Chekhov's Psychological Gesture analysis. Through proposing and applying this step-by-step analysis method, this study verifies the usefulness of musical song analysis for practising both musical theory and practical skills at the same time and provides a base for future studies.
