  • Deep learning is used as a creative tool that could overcome the limitations of existing analysis models and generate various types of results such as text, image, and music. In this paper, we propose a method necessary to preprocess audio data using the Niko's MIDI Pack sound source file as a data set and to generate music using Bi-LSTM. Based on the generated root note, the hidden layers are composed of multi-layers to create a new note suitable for the musical composition, and an attention mechanism is applied to the output gate of the decoder to apply the weight of the factors that affect the data input from the encoder. Setting variables such as loss function and optimization method are applied as parameters for improving the LSTM model. The proposed model is a multi-channel Bi-LSTM with attention that applies notes pitch generated from separating treble clef and bass clef, length of notes, rests, length of rests, and chords to improve the efficiency and prediction of MIDI deep learning process. The results of the learning generate a sound that matches the development of music scale distinct from noise, and we are aiming to contribute to generating a harmonistic stable music.

  • In this thesis, Improvisation of Jazz Vocal that can be characterized as Jazz music, namely practice of Scat suggest that way of applied approach that root position of chord and chord tones. Scat plays a solo using reproduced tunes of meaningless scat syllable that is not use the lyrics and melodies, which are written in a score. For this, Using the root position of chord is a reference point that Jazz vocal constructs a musical melody. Singing person can develop that reference point from simple scat to develop increasingly complex scat and can express that musical expression and communion. It analyzed the music functionally with a standard Jazz music 'All of me' as the center from composition of chord tone that improvise song to bass line, bass scat, analysis of chord tones arpeggio and expression. In this thesis, the improvisation of a Jazz vocal that may seem somewhat abstruse and complex could be relatively easy to construct through a gradual approach.

  • The music has influenced on the aesthetics, structure and symbol of the architecture from the ancient to the present. and been to be like architecture. It is important part that through the study of musical proportion by number, which is method of architectural and musical composition, resemblance can be found, music is resemble to architecture and this recognition is general as well in renaissance as architect and musician after that time. Therefore, in this background and aesthetics, the purpose of this study is to research purpose and methodology of the proportion of musical consonance and dissonance used in L. B. Alberti's architecture. At first, for the background of aesthetics this study previewed characteristic of aesthetics arranged by subjectivism and objectivism, and this musical proportion which is applicable for Alberti's architecture was defined. secondly, Alberti's architectural aesthetics (concinnitas) of the higher concept was defined by methodology of the lower concept, and this study described the application of dissonance used by the method of canon in music. thirdly, after according to characteristic of aesthetics in chapter three, proportion system was researched by the more objective, applicable unit in renaissance: roman foot and local unit differs meter in the present, Alberti's architectures was researched by the method of cannon in music.

  • This study aims to grasp the vital rhythm of the Chapel at Ronchamp by analyzing its rhythm through Henri Lefebvre's 'rhythmanalysis' in an effort to show the possibility of approaching the presence of this chapel. For the purpose of this study, Lefebvre's thought of rhythmanalysis was first contemplated, and a case study analysis was conducted on the concept and presence of the chapel in the design process. On this basis, examples of the chapel's rhythms were analyzed through Lefebvre's dialectical analysis of the triad of time(melody), space(harmony) and energy(rhythm). The results of analysis are as follows: First, the concept intended by Le Corbusier in the process of designing the Chapel at Ronchamp is expressed as the acoustic form, the modulor corresponding to the scale of the music, the light and shadow of counterpoint, and the opposite composition of musical changes. Consequently, the concept-mediated presence of this chapel is the presence of music. Second, at the Chapel at Ronchamp, a Lefebvre's rhythmanalyst experiences, or rather senses, two vital rhythms of an antithetical unity (i.e., acoustic curved rhythm and modulor-generated linear rhythm), with reference to his/her own rhythms. These rhythms are a dialectical union of spatiality of melodies temporalized through continuity, (i.e., acoustic curved form and modulor-generated linear form), and temporality of harmonies spatialized through simultaneity (i.e., light and shadow, materials and color, form of interpenetration, and stairs or windows/doors). These rhythms carry the measures generated by music-specific repetitions and differences in movements(energy). Consequently, the rhythm-mediated presence of this chapel is also the presence of music. In conclusion, the Chapel of Ronchamp indicates that an approach toward its presence can be realized through vital rhythms derived from Lefebvre's 'rhythmanalysis'. This study holds significance as an analysis of spatial rhythm and presence, employing a philosophical thought.

  • This study purposed to investigate harmonic compositions and progressions that are appropriate for emotion vocabulary. In study 1, eight(8) professional music therapists were asked to provide harmonic compositions and progressions reflecting the tonal characteristics of emotion vocabulary and the rationales. Various attributes of harmonic compositions and progressions were examined and the content analysis were administered. In study 2, the obtained data on study 1 were evaluated by 124 music therapy and music majors for the validity. In the first study, analyzed results showed that 'happy' vocabulary utilized major, tonic, consecutive chord changes, 'angry' vocabulary utilized minor, augmented, $9^{th}$, $11^{th}$, unsolved $7^{th}$ chord progression, 'sad' vocabulary utilized minor, diminish, chromatic chord progressions. In the second study, there was statistically significant difference with 'happy' vocabulary. These results can provide basic evidences for musical ideas of harmonic compositions and progressions to better communicate emotional aspects of lyrical messages when composing melody in a song.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop education programs for effective education of Jeong-gan-bo. Jeong-gan-bo is a unique piece of music made during King Sejong's reign. Starting in the third grade elementary school, Jeong-gan-bo begins to develop. If you fail to understand Jeongganbo in lower grades, you often give up scores of music in a more detailed and complicated manner. This is why we need a customized education program for the first time in lower grades. For this purpose, the basic process of understanding the Jeongganbo is understood to be played as a traditional play. This study consists of the elementary school the 3rd grade scenario. This study consists of the second - grade class scenarios for the 3rd grade elementary school students, the curriculum is centered on the curriculum, which is currently in the 3rd grade curriculum, curriculum in 2009. The program learns to play the rhythm of the 1st phase, the code of the 2nd stage of Jeong-dan, and play the rhythm through play through play. Step 1 is not only visually recognizable, but also a direct sign of the code. The second phase consists of the basic composition of Jeongganbo, through the basic composition of Jangdan, and learns the exact rhythm of Jeongganbo. • Among the styles of performing arts, perhaps the genre that has attracted the largest audience would be musical. Popularity of musical has brought diverse changes in our performing arts market, and, upon emerging another musical genre, called 'Korean Traditional Musical Comedy,' it has been well-received by the audiences. 'Korean Traditional Musical Comedy' is a word that are formed by merging two other terms such as 'Korean Traditional Music' and 'Musical (Comedy).' In the meantime, however, it has yet some problems in order to be defined as the genre that has concrete concepts. It is because the term such as Korean Traditional Musical Comedy was created being closely associated with a marketing purpose rather than a term that defines the characteristics of a genre of performing arts. Although this new musical genre has drawn attentions of many audiences by adding 'Musical Comedy' to 'Korean Traditional Music' that was not quite popular to the public, it still does not have any established forms so that there is a fine line between "Korean Traditional Musical Comedy" and another genre like traditional style folk opera ("Changgeuk"). Looking at the characteristics of the musical work called 'Korean Traditional Musical Comedy, in general, first of all, it is a performance where music and drama are played. Here, the distinctive characteristic of this musical is that 'Korean Traditional Music' is sung. And the kinds of Korean traditional musics being sung are mainly Pansori (dramatic story-singing) and folk-songs, and, in most cases, Korean traditional musical instruments are being used as accompanying music. In this paper, the researcher investigated the aspects of experiment centering around Korean Musical Group, Taroo. These days, various experiments has been repeated not only for the works of Taroo but other musical work presently called 'Korean Traditional Musical Comedy' also. Having encompassed overall performance factors including use of musical instruments, dance, acting, materials for drama as well as music in drama, the researcher has gone through experiments repeatedly. Meanwhile, however, the subject matters that make 'Korean Traditional Musical Comedy' mostly attractive to the audiences are music and songs or sounds. ["Sori" also called "Chang" (唱)] Particularly, under the current situation of our musicals, the role of "Sori" is extremely important. The factor that plays absolutely most important role in acceptance and transformation of "Sori" is the created Pansori. Since the created Pansori is composed with new rhythmic patterns and new narrative poems, it tells the present story. Also it draws good responses from the audiences owing to easy conveyance of dialogues. And, its new style brings diversification to organization of musical instruments, so then this leads to the arrangements of music for Korean traditional music instruments, as well as instrumental music ensemble, orchestra, and jazz band, etc. Likewise, upon appearing creative musics in 'Korean Traditional Musical Comedy,' professional music and vocal compositions have begun to emerge naturally. And, the song specialist and writer, of course, staffs including direction, lighting, and sounds, etc are required. That is, professional composition method are forced to be introduced to all areas. Other than this, there are many music pieces which are based on our unique songs and sounds ("Sori") and such traditional factors as use of lead singer for ceremony or chorus, and the method that puts weight on Pansori. Accordingly many things accomplished. However, it is required that 'Korean Traditional Musical Comedy' go through numerous discussions and more experiments. Above all, the most important things are the role of actor and actress, and their changes, and training of actor and actress further. Good news is there are good audience responses. 'Korean Traditional Musical Comedy' is an open genre. As musicals are divided into several domains according to the characteristics thereof, 'Korean Traditional Musical Comedy' will be able to show its distinctive features in various styles according to embodiment.

  • This paper proposes an effective feature compensation method to improve speech recognition performance in time-varying background noise condition. The proposed method employs principal component analysis to improve the variational model composition method. The proposed method is employed to generate multiple environmental models for the PCGMM-based feature compensation scheme. Experimental results prove that the proposed scheme is more effective at improving speech recognition accuracy in various SNR conditions of background music, compared to the conventional front-end methods. It shows 12.14% of average relative improvement in WER compared to the previous variational model composition method.
