  • 제주지역은 지역별 인구대비 등록 미술관 수가 전국 최고이나 상대적으로 낮은 인지도로 대중과의 소통에 뒤떨어져 있어 시대에 맞는 홍보대안이 필요하다. 호감도와 접근도면에서 탁월하고 정보의 아이덴티티를 제공하는 디자인 QR코드가 미술관의 홍보매개체로 다양하게 활용되고 있으나 제주지역 등록 미술관의 대부분이 디자인 QR코드의 개발이 미비하여 현실적으로 실현 가능한 디자인 개발이 필요한 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 제주지역 등록 공립미술관 6개소의 Museum Identity현황을 기표와 기의로 나누어 의미체계를 분석하고 분석한 자료를 바탕으로 개발 선정한 4개소의 Museum Identity를 반영한 QR코드디자인을 개발하였다. 개발된 디자인 QR코드를 가치적 특성에 따른 디자인의 활용 사례로 제안한 연구이다.

밀워키미술관 신·증축에서 나타나는 공간적 특성과 쟁점 (Spatial Features and Issues in the Process of Establishing and Expanding the Milwaukee Art Museum)

  • This research explores a historical trajectory of the Milwaukee Art Museum from its establishment to the third expansion over the last six decades. After established in 1957 by the architect, Eero Saarinen, this museum underwent three expansions led by three different architects including, David Kahler, Santiago Calatrava, and James Shields. Reasons for expanding the museum were varied. A lack of exhibition space, an absence of visual identity, and path interruption problem within urban contexts were the main factors of a series of expansion. Furthermore, this research points out that there are three issues in the process of the expansion. The first is connection issues between the downtown and the lakefront in which the museum has blocked the public flow. The second, there were controversies on the allocation of the expanded space among the main body of the decision including architects, curators, and stakeholders. The last one is relationships among architects. This is related to each architect's attitude toward the museum. Drawing on historical documents and interviews with the regional architects, I argue that the identity and values of the museum have changed over time through the expansions rather than having the invariable.

문화.예술.과학의 관점에서 대학박물관의 특성화를 위한 기초연구 (A study on specializing the University Museum in the Perspective of Culture, Arts, and Science)

  • 이 논문은 대학박물관의 정체성과 역할 및 기능을 정의하고, 문화.예술.과학의 관점에서 대학박물관의 특성화를 제시하고자 한다. 대학박물관은 대학공동체와 대학공동체에 이바지하는 중심으로서 교육정보위락을 위하여 인간과 인간의 환경에 관한 유무형의 증거를 수집 보존 연구 교류 전시 교육하는 곳이다. 오늘날 대학박물관의 표적 이용자들은 교수와 학생, 교직원뿐만 아니라 관계되는 전문가, 후원자, 학부모, 학교 어린들과 동네사람들 같은 이웃 사람들이다. 다목적의 대학박물관은 문화.예술.과학의 관점에서 현실 세계 또는 가상현실 세계에서 설립될 수 있다. 현실세계뿐만 아니라 가상현실 세계에서 유비쿼터스 시스템을 기반으로 대학박물관은 어디서나 언제든지 어떤 기자재로든 쉽게 이용할 수 있다. 문화.예술.과학의 관점에서 대학박물관의 특성화를 위해서 대학박물관 관장은 대학공동체의 최고경영자와 함께 대학박물관의 인적, 물적, 조직적, 기술적, 재화적, 공간적, 상징적 구성요소를 평가하여 대학공동체의 경영 철학과 전략을 바탕으로 대학박물관의 특성화를 추진하는 것이 바람직하다. 대학박물관의 특성화는 박물관 활동의 독창적인 영역을 유지하고, 경영을 효율적으로 이끌어 갈 수 있는 방향으로 기획되고 추진되어야 한다. 문화.예술.과학 관점에서 대학박물관의 특성화는 대학공동체의 정체성 확립과 대학박물관의 역할 및 기능 수행에도 도움을 줄뿐만 아니라 대학공동체의 학문적 발전과 브랜드 가치 창출 및 홍보에도 크게 도움을 줄 것이다.

  • 국립중앙박물관 도서관은 국가 대표 박물관 도서관으로서 박물관 자료의 수집 정리 열람서비스를 제공하고 있다. 박물관 도서관의 제한된 예산, 인력, 낮은 인지도를 고려할 때 국립중앙박물관 도서관의 역할은 중요하다. 본 연구는 전문도서관으로서 국립중앙박물관 도서관의 정체성 확립 및 발전방안을 도출하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위하여 국립중앙박물관 도서관 현황조사, 선행연구, 국내외 사례조사, 이용자 면담 및 전문가 면담을 실시하였다. 연구결과로 박물관 도서관의 정체성을 확립하고, 박물관이 수행하는 주요 업무인장서, 서비스, 인력에 대한 전문성 확보를 위한 방안은 물론, 박물관 내에서의 도서관 역할을 증대하고 인지도를 확보하는 방안을 제시하였다.

  • Many administrative policies for regional activation have progressed the expansion and improvement of convenience institutions. Most appraisals about rural community influenced by urban life convenience are affirmative, but chasing urban life convenience is a cause of breaking out regional identity. Recently, new rising methods of theme and characteristic to imply regional identity, are ways of regional activation through neighboring network around satellite of rural community. In this study, I research and suggest applicable possible proposal of rural communities in Korea. by survey of neighboring network methods of Asan Live Museum in Japan applied ecomuseum concept for regional activation.

  • As a period of pluralism, today's museum architecture has been expanding social and cultural meaning. So, Various expressions are appearing in museum architecture. Accordingly, the museum must be very reproducible and comply with aesthetic requirements. At the same time, museum construction in urban design and features must satisfy professional requirements. SANAA is one of contemporary architects has been decisively deleted existing fixed and functional layout type of program through 'The new hierarchy'. Thus, the experience of the space will vary. Now, museum space is urgently needed than ever before crustal movements. Thus, this study aims to contribute an alternative to the museum space configuration according to the trend of the times through 'The new hierarchy' of SANAA. This paper is limited to the cases of the SANAA's museum architecture. We analyze the characteristics of representation on 'The new hierarchy' appear in the museum space configuration and then, examine the value of the spatial. SANAA's 'New Hierarchy' is going to set the cognitive boundary by expression targeting plane and the surface. It is completely different than the previous boundaries. Characteristics of the expression represents non-centrality, decentrally, non-oriented, uncertainty, non-territorialization, uniformity. It is steady that identity of Space, Human, Environment in Museum. They have a relationship each concept of Independence, autonomy, equality.

체험형 박물관의 일본 사례 조사연구 (A Case Study of Museums by Experience in Japan)

  • The function and role of museum has changed focused on the experience program and visiter's participation in this time. In Comparison with Korean museums, like this visiter's personal experience has special effects through experience programs of museum in Japan. So, I researched cases of Japan and the survey on experience museum programs should summarized three characteristics as followings implied cultural desire about museum directly or indirectly. 1. Experience programs base on the rural community, identity, and tradition. 2. Boso village museum and Tokusima experience museum harmonized with out-space and institutions, prepare various programs, exhibition, and selling of collections. 3. Through experience programs classifying into visiter's experience at first hand and expert's rehearsal according to difficulty of the job, it is sufficient about visiter's demands.

패션투어리즘에서의 패션박물관의 역할 (Roles of A Fashion Museum in Fashion Tourism)

  • Fashion can be regarded as an effective marketing tool for the promotion of urban tourism. Since fashion is attractive in itself, it can work as a resource which fascinates people and attracts many tourists to the city. This study examines fashion tourism based on the close relationship between fashion and tourism. This study focuses on analyzing the positive effect of the existence of a fashion museum on the advent of fashion tourism, in particular. A fashion museum can be classified in the same category as an art museum, whereby the museum exists as specializing in fashion and is considered a fashion brand museum. Thus, this study examines the current trends and characteristics of fashion museums and analyzes roles of fashion museums in fashion tourism by types, which are based on advanced researches of general tourism including trends in the fashion tourism industry. The results of this study are as follows: First, a fashion museum can help spread the word and educate tourists about fashion culture. Second, a fashion museum can increase the value of its brand by strengthening the city's identity. Lastly, the presence of a fashion museum would encourage tourists to spend more money in the city, which causes a ripple effect on the city's economy such as creating more jobs within the fashion.

패션 박물관의 전시기획 사례연구 -영국 배스 패션뮤지엄의 '올해의 드레스'를 중심으로- (A Case Study on Exhibition Scheme of Fashion Museum -Centered on 'Dress of the Year' by the Fashion Museum in Bath-)

  • 'Dress of the Year' by the UK Fashion Museum in Bath suggested an ideal role for a fashion museum and created fashion history along with the development of fashion journalism. A case study and literature research identified the characteristics of this scheme in terms of roles and functions for a fashion museum and defined them as: suggestion of collection cases, data construction for fashion research, and contribution to fashion critique. First, it suggested a good case of collection process. The 'Dress of the Year' creates a museum identity with a collection selected by designated journalist reviewer every year in order to maintain and strengthen a virtuous cycle. Second, it contributed to the accumulation of data for fashion research. The vast amount of data accumulated for more than 50 years became a fashion history that shows the change of fashion trends with a value of public confidence. It presented the possibilities of fashion research in various perspectives. Third, it contributed to the development of fashion criticism. The development of fashion journalism was conducted on the initiative of 'Dress of the Year' as well as contributed to the birth and growth of fashion journalists.
