  • In this paper an optical power meter using Hadamard transform, which can be used in multiple channel optical elements alignment system, is proposed. A traditional optical power meter in multiple channel optical elements alignment system is able to judge how well the elements are aligned each other by measuring optical power of the first and the last two channels with at least two detectors. It has critical drawback that the alignment accuracy per channel is dependent on the number of detectors. The proposed optical power meter can get noise reduction by the Hadamard transform based multiplexing technique. The Hadamard transform based multiplexing technique using spatial light modulators is distinguished by the best enhancement of signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) for the reconstructed signals. Moreover, the noise reduction increases with increasing the order of multiplexing, namely the number of optical element channels. The proposed system is implemented by PDLC (Polymer Dispersed Liquid Crystal) mask which is operated by electric filed and generates optimal multiplexing patterns based on the Hadamard transform and single detector. It means that we obtain not only the each channel's optical power of multiple channel elements at once but also the best enhancement of SNR with single detector. Experimental results show that the proposed optical power meter is suitable for an active optical alignment system for multiple channel optical elements.

  • In this paper, we study the throughput-delay tradeoff of OFDMA systems in context of 2-dimensional resource allocation, and analyze the effect of frequency diversity and user-multiplexing in time domain that has on delay QoS performance. Based on the analysis results, we investigate the impacts of delay QoS on spectral efficiency. In high SNR regime, the optimal DoM (degree of multiplexing) maximizing the spectral efficiency is identified. The results of the high SNR analysis can give us an intuition on an efficient resource allocation policy. Finally, through the simulation results, we verify that our approach with its optimal DoM yields substantial capacity gain.

  • In this paper, assuming that the transmitter can exploit imperfect channel state information (CSI), the diversity-multiplexing tradeoff (DMT) functions of three adaptive decode-and-forward (DF) relay protocols, each of which uses multiple-antennas at the destination node, at the relay node, or at the source node are derived. When the imperfect CSI qualities for the source-relay link, the relay-destination link, and the source-destination link are subject to asymptotic conditions, the additional diversity gains attainable by exploiting the imperfect CSI at the transmitter for those three adaptive DF relay protocols are investigated.

  • In this paper, we propose Time-Division-Multiplexing Tertiary Offset Carrier (TDMTOC), a novel GNSS modulation based on Tertiary Offset Carrier (TOC) modulation. The TDMTOC modulation multiplexes two three-level signals (i.e., -1, 0, and 1) while crossing over time, and is a type of TOC modulation designed specifically for signal multiplexing. The proposed modulation generates TDMTOC subcarriers of two different phases by simply combining two Binary Offset Carrier (BOC) subcarriers by addition or subtraction. TDMTOC has better correlation and spectral properties than conventional BPSK, BOC, and MBOC modulation techniques, and has good power and spectral efficiency since it can multiplex signals without power loss similar to time division multiplexing. To prove this, we introduce the multiplexing process of TDMTOC, and compare TDMTOC with Binary Phase Shift Keying (BPSK), BOC, Composite BOC (CBOC), and Time Multiplexed BOC (TMBOC) that are currently serviced in GNSS by simulations of various aspects. Through the simulation results, we prove that TDMTOC has better correlation property than modulations currently used in GNSS, less intersystem interference due to its wide spectrum property, and robustness in multipath and noise channel environments.

  • A MIMO multi-way relay channel with full data exchange in which K users exchange messages with each other via the help of a single relay is considered. For the case in which each link is quasi-static Rayleigh fading and the relay is full-duplex, the fundamental diversity-multiplexing tradeoff (DMT) is investigated, and we show that a compress-and-forward relay protocol can achieve the optimal DMT.

  • As Flat Panel Display become large in format, the data and gate lines turn into longer, parasitic capacitance and resistance increase, and the display signal is delayed. Three dimensional architecture of multiplexing data registration integrated circuit method is used that divides the data line into several blocks and provides the advantages of high accuracy, rapid selection, and reasonable switching speed.

Also, it showed that time domain equalization is better than the existed frequency domain equalization about the calculation and efficency for clear Inter Carrier Interference of the doppler effect.

  • The diversity-multiplexing tradeoff (DMT) functions of three special half-duplex (HD) dynamic decode-and-forward (DDF) protocols with multiple antennas only at the source node, only at the destination node, and only at the relay node are analytically derived. The DMT functions of these three relay protocols are compared with one another and with those of the nonorthogonal amplify and forward (NAF) protocols.

  • Visible light communication (VLC) is considered to be an attractive scheme to realize the broadband wireless communication for an indoor environment. We present a room division multiplexing (RDM) mechanism for an indoor multi-room VLC network, which utilizes the spatial position of the LED lamp in different rooms as a novel dimension of network resource for multiplexing, and thus the network capacity is increased. In such a network, the service interruption caused by user cross-room movement is an important problem, and we propose a double-area-positioning based cross-room switch solution. An experimental platform demonstrates the RDM-deployed VLC network, and validates the performance of the presented switch mechanism.

  • This letter proposes a conditional access system (CAS) suitable for use in terrestrial digital multimedia broadcasting (T-DMB), based on an effective multiplexing method to provide encrypted T-DMB services. Specifically, the proposed multiplexing method for a CAS is designed to reduce the additional bit rate while assuring easy access to the designated encrypted services. Finally, the performance of the implemented CAS is confirmed through implementation and a broadcasting experiment under various service environments.
