This study was conducted to (a) investigate the frequency of Korean beverage consumption, (b) analyze the characteristics of socio-demographically classified group according to drinking frequency, (c) investigate the attitude for and awareness of Korean beverage and (d) analyze the factors which influence Korean beverage consumption. The survey was carried out by self-administered questionnaires with 2,200 subjects residing in Seoul. A total of 1,885 samples were used for analysis by using t-test, one way analysis of variance (ANOVA), Duncan's multiple comparison test, factor analysis, and analysis of covariance (ANOCOVA) with SAS computer program. Among various Korean beverage, Donggulre tea was consumed most frequently at an average of 7.4 times per month, and followed by rice beverage, Mi Su, Citron tea, Shick Hae and canned Shick Hae. Among the age groups, the group of 20s showed the lowest frequency of Korean beverage consumption exempt rice beverage. According to occupation group, middle and high school and college student groups showed a high frequency of consumption of cereal based drink such as rice beverage, Mi Su and Yulmu tea. The behavior examination aimed at learning the perceptions relevant to the choice of beverage showed that the subjects believe Korean beverage healthful and nutritious but not familiar through advertisement, not easy to buy, and not to be a habitual drink. The factors influencing the frequency of Korean beverage consumption were shown as health-related factors and habitual/practical factors.
Purpose The purpose of this study is to investigate the reason why smartphone users do not use mobile banking based on Status Quo Bias and to find out whether there is a difference between passive resistance and active resistance. Design/methodology/approach This study made a design of the research model based on Status Quo Bias. SPSS 23.0 and SmartPLS 2.0 were used for the analysis. Multiple group analysis was performed to identify differences between groups. Findings According to the empirical analysis result, this study confirmed that inertia and perceived risk affected smartphone users who do not use mobile banking. According to the type of resistance, the active resistance group(64.2%) was more than the passive resistance group(35.8%), and it was confirmed that there was a difference in the reasons for not using mobile banking between passive and active resistance group. That is, the greatest difference between passive and active resistance groups was found to be perceived risk, which is an assessment of risk.
The purpose of this study is to examine factors affecting the diffusion and the intention to use, and how these factors differ among adopter categories. A survey was done to analyze the diffusion of smart-phone, the most popular and innovative product nowdays. We collected 197 survey questionnaires from smart-phone user and analyzed the data using SPSS 18.0 and Smart PLS 2.0. BACKGROUND/OBJECTIVES: Inflammation is known to be a risk factor for metabolic diseases. This study aimed to develop a Food-based Index of Dietary Inflammatory Potential (FBDI) and examine its association with metabolic biomarkers. SUBJECTS/METHODS: This study analyzed the raw data from the 2012-2014 Korean Genome and Epidemiology Study data of 17,771 people. To analyze the relationship between foods consumed by Koreans and inflammation, we conducted a correlation analysis between 51 food groups and hs-CRP levels. The FBDI was developed from 17 food groups selected by multiple regression method. We examined whether FBDI was associated with metabolic markers (waist circumference, blood pressure, fasting glucose, triglyceride, and HDL-cholesterol) in the 6th Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (KNHANES). We used binary logistic regression analysis to examine the association. RESULTS: The FBDI model included seven of the anti-inflammatory food groups and three of the pro-inflammatory food groups. The FBDI formula was calculated by multiplying the intake of food group by ${\beta}$-coefficients derived from the multiple regression model based on the correlation analysis. The FBDI was significantly associated with waist circumference (P < 0.001), blood pressure (P < 0.001), triglyceride level (P < 0.001), and HDL-cholesterol (P < 0.001) level among adults aged 20-64 years in the KNHANES. The prevalence of metabolic syndrome was 2.618 times higher in the group with the highest FBDI than in the group with the lowest one (95% confidence interval: 1.778-3.856, P for trend < 0.001). CONCLUSIONS: This study established an FBDI reflecting food intake patterns of Koreans, which showed a significant relationship with the prevalence of metabolic syndrome.

This paper investigates the ductility demands of steel frames equipped with self-centring fuses under near-fault earthquake motions considering multiple yielding stages. The study is commenced by verifying a trilinear self-centring hysteretic model accounting for multiple yielding stages of steel frames equipped with self-centring fuses. Then, the seismic response of single-degree-of-freedom (SDOF) systems following the validated trilinear self-centring hysteretic law is examined by a parametric study using a near-fault earthquake ground motion database composed of 200 earthquake records as input excitations. Based on a statistical investigation of more than fifty-two (52) million inelastic spectral analyses, the effect of the post-yield stiffness ratios, energy dissipation coefficient and yielding displacement ratio on the mean ductility demand of the system is examined in detail. The analysis results indicate that the increase of post-yield stiffness ratios, energy dissipation coefficient and yielding displacement ratio reduces the ductility demands of the self-centring oscillators responding in multiple yielding stages. A set of empirical expressions for quantifying the ductility demands of trilinear self-centring hysteretic oscillators are developed using nonlinear regression analysis of the analysis result database. The proposed regression model may offer a practical tool for designers to estimate the ductility demand of a low-to-medium rise self-centring steel frame equipped with self-centring fuses progressing in the ultimate stage under near-fault earthquake motions in design and evaluation.
Objectives : We analyzed the changes from 1996 to 2002 in distributive equity of the contribution burden in the Korean National Health Insurance. Methods : The study subjects were a total of 8,923 employee households and a total of 7,296 self-employed households over the period from 1996 to 2002. Those were the households meeting the two criteria as completing each annual survey and having no change in the job of head of the household during that period from the raw data of the Household Income and Expenditure Survey annually conducted by the Korean National Statistical Office. The unit of analysis was a household, and this was the standard for assessing the contribution that is now applied on a monthly basis. Deciles Distribution Ratio, Contribution Concentration Curve and Contribution Concentration Index were estimated as the index of inequality. Multiple regression analysis was conducted to compare the annual ability-to-pay elasticity of the contribution to the reference year of 1996 for three groups (all households, the employee households, and the self-employed households). Results : For the index of inequality, the distributive equity of contribution was improved in all three groups. In particular, the employee group experienced a substantial improvement. Using multiple regression analysis, the ability-to-pay elasticity of the contribution in the employee group significantly increased ($\beta$=0.232, p<0.0001) in the year 2002 as compared to the reference year of 1996. The elasticity in the self-employed group also significantly increased ($\beta$=0.186, p<0.05), although its change was smaller than that in the employee group. Conclusions : The employee group had a greater improvement for the distributive equity of the contribution burden than the self-employed group. Within the observation period, there were two important integration reforms: one was the integration of 227 self-employed societies in 1998 and the other was the integration of 139 employee societies in 2000. We expected that the equity of the contribution burden would be improved for the self-employed group since the integration reform of 1998. However, it was not improved for the self-employed group until the year 2000. This result suggests that capturing exactly the beneficiaries' ability-to-pay such as income is the precedent for distributive equity of the contribution burden, although a more sophisticated imposition standard of contribution is needed.
A decentralized control method is proposed to enable a group of robots to achieve maximum performance in multisensory target tracking while avoiding collision with the target. The decentralized control was designed based on navigation function formalism. The study showed that the multiple agent system converged to the positions providing the maximum performance by the decentralized controller, based on Lyapunov and Hessian theory. An exemplary simulation was given for a multiple agent system tracking a stationary target.
