Recently, 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) has developed device-to-device (D2D) communication to cope with the explosively increasing mobile data traffic. The D2D communication uses sidelink based on single carrier-frequency division multiple access (SC-FMDA) due to its low peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR). In addition, demodulation reference signal (DMRS) is designed to support multiple input multiple output (MIMO). In this paper, we propose the DFT-based channel estimation scheme for sidelink in D2D communication. The proposed scheme uses the 2-Dimensional Minimum Mean Square Error (2-D MMSE) interpolation scheme for the user moving at a high speed. We perform the system level simulation based on 20MHz bandwidth of 3GPP LTE-Advanced system. Simulation results show that the proposed channel estimation scheme can improve signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio (SINR), throughput and spectral efficiency of conventional scheme.

In this paper, a dense cellular network is considered in which each base station equipped with multiple antennas simultaneously communicates with multiple single-antenna users. Based on limited feedback, each user feeds back its quantized channel state information (CSI) to its associated transmitter, and the transmitter broadcasts multiple data streams prepared for the scheduled users using a space-division multiple access scheme. As the amount of CSI is limited at the transmitter, the downlink throughput increases with the number feedback bits. However, the increased number of feedback bits requires the correspondingly increased amount of uplink resources. Thus, an appropriate balance between the downlink throughput and the uplink resource usage should be considered in realistic systems. A net spectral efficiency defined in this context is used in this paper, and the optimal number of feedback bits that maximizes the net spectral efficiency is analyzed. This paper particularly focuses on the case when the received signal power is much smaller than the noise power.

A stable rotational-to-linear motion transformation structure using a driving mechanism with 2 degrees of freedom was developed for an orthogonal mechanism to prevent the interference of each axis in 2D motion. In this mechanism, a step motor was used for precise position control. This structure was developed to maneuver workparts in micro particle blast machining experiments. To determine the real-time performance of micro particle blast machining, the control, input, and output were operated simultaneously and precise position control was implemented, using a timer interrupt with multiple execution codes. The two step motors obtained precise position control by removing backlash with a ball-screw mechanism. The device has menu-type control codes for user-friendliness, and real-time sequence control was simultaneously adopted for user control input.
This paper considers a wideband cognitive radio network which can simultaneously sense multiple narrowband channels and thus aggregate the detected available channels for transmission and proposes a novel cognitive radio system that exhibits improved sensing throughput and can save power consumption of secondary user (SU) compared to the conventional cognitive radio system studied so far. More specifically, under the proposed cognitive radio system, we study the problem of designing the optimal sensing time and power allocation strategy, in order to maximize the ergodic throughput of the proposed cognitive radio system under two different schemes, namely the wideband sensing-based spectrum sharing scheme and the wideband opportunistic spectrum access scheme. In our analysis, besides the average interference power constraint at primary user, the average transmit power constraint of SU is also considered for the two schemes and then a subgradient algorithm is developed to obtain the optimal sensing time and the corresponding power allocation strategy. Finally, numerical simulations are presented to verify the performance of the two proposed schemes.

In this paper, We analyze performance of ZFE MUD receiver in DSSS unidirectional wireless transceiver operating in 2.4㎓ ISM band and indoor environment. This system has the shortcomings that many burst error is occurred because of long term deep fade experienced by some user and impossibility of power control. Therefore, the solution to this problem is important because the performance of DS-CDMA system is guaranteed under, the perfect power control. MUD receive. which improves the performance of this system is not required to perform rigorous power control and is able to remove MAI using linear equalization. From the result of performance comparison, we show that ZFE MUD receiver is more adequate for this system than other receivers.

In this paper, a new receiver with low complexity for a DS-UWB system which can eliminate efficiently the multiple access interference and the detrimental effects caused by multi-paths is proposed. The performance of conventional DS-UWB receivers depends greatly on the types and lengths of spreading codes. Generally, as the length of spreading codes increases, the receiver performance improves. But, the receiver performance does not improve satisfactorily in a multi-paths fading environment. Through computer simulations, it can be shown that the proposed DS-UWB receiver eliminate the multi-paths effects efficiently in a multi-user, multi-paths fading environment, and the user capacity can be increased dramatically using the proposed receiver.

The MC-CDMA(multi-carrier code division multiple access) technique is known to be appropriate for high data-rate wireless communications such as mobile multimedia communication due to its robustness to multipath fading and its capability of handing high data rates with a simple one-tap equalizer. In this paepr, the performance of a MC-CDMA cellular system employing antenna arrays at the based station in a fading channel is presented. It is whown that the interference from other users within the cell can be significantly reduced for both reverse link (mobile to base station) and forward link (base station to mobile) using a MC-CDMA with antenna arrays, thus incresig the system's user-capacity. Computer simulations that demonstrate user-capacity improvement of the proposed approach are discussed.

Recently, orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing(OFDM), with clusters of subcarriers allocated to different subscribers(often referred to as OFDMA), has gained much attention for its ability in enabling multiple-access wireless multimedia communications. In such systems, carrier frequency offsets (CFOs) can destroy the orthogonality among subcarriers. And the mismatch in sampling frequencies between transmitter and receiver can lead to serious degradation due to the loss of orthogonality between the subcarriers. As a result, multiuser interference (MUI) along with significant performance degradation can be induced. In this paper, we present a scheme to compensate for the SFOs and CFOs at the base station of an OFDMA system. A novel sampling frequency offset estimation algorithm is proposed, which is based on the repetition of a symbol at the communication start-up. Then, circular convolutions are employed to generate the interference after the discrete Fourier transform processing, which is then removed from the original received signal to increase the signal to interference power ratio(SIR). Simulation result shows that the proposed scheme can improve system performance.

This paper considers the problem of mitigating CCI(Co-channel Interference) in cellular OFDMA downlink systems. The users in the cell-edge area suffer from large CCIs, and their SINR requirements are hard to be maintained. To guarantee their QoS, we propose a new exclusive sub-carrier allocation and power control algorithm. The performance of the proposed two-step algorithm is simulated in SUI-A path-loss model, and it is compared with that of the conventional algorithm. The simulation results show that the data transmission rate in the cell-edge area was increased by 600Kbps within the same power constraint. The results indicate that with proposed algorithm, the data rate stability can be achieved independently of the user location in the cell.

In this paper, we introduce a modified interference cancellation scheme for multiuser detection in CDMA(Code Division Multiple Access). This detector uses SIC(Successive Interference Canceller) scheme and divides the received signals to reduce the delay time. In this proposed structure, the active users are divided into a number of groups. Within each group, parallel detection is performed to estimate the output signal of that group. The estimated output signal due to that group is then subtracted from the received signal and the resulting residual signal is used for the parallel detection of the next group. This parallel and serial cancellation process is repeated until the last group in the stage is completed. The estimated output signals due to all groups except -th group are MAI for the user signals in -th group. Therefore, the estimated output signals due to all groups except th group are subtracted from the received signal, and then the obtained signal becomes the input signal of -th SIC. The proposed RDSIC (Reduced Delay time of Successive Interference Canceller) has performance and complexity close to the SIC, but with much less detection delay.
