Methods: The data were collected from 176 caregivers working at three geriatric hospitals located in Gyeonggi province. A self-reported questionnaires was used to assess the level of occupational stress, burnout and turnover intention. The data were analyzed with descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA and Pearson correlation coefficients and multiple regression by SPSS/WIN 18.0 program. Results: The turnover intention was positively correlated with occupational stress(r=.438, p<.01) and burnout(r=.418, p<.01). The influencing factors of turnover intention were occupational stress(${\beta}$=.290, p<.001), burnout(${\beta}$=.253, p=.001) and education level(${\beta}$=.182, p=.006). Conclusion: The results of this study indicate that it is necessary to develop stress management program so that caregivers in geriatric hospitals can reduce occupational stress and burnout.

Methods: The participants were 153 nurses who has taken courses of ACB system. Data were collected through self-report questionnaires and then analyzed with t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficients, and multiple linear regression with SPSS/WIN 18.0. Results: The score of job stress showed significant differences according to age, marital status, total period of clinical career, and nursing unit. Job stress had significant negative correlation to professional self-concept and organizational commitment. The factors influencing job stress were marital status, professional self-concept, and organizational commitment. • This paper investigated the types of errors on English pronunciation and intelligibility of Korean EFL students, and the relationship between the pronunciation accuracy and intelligibility. Thirty one students were evaluated by six English native speakers in terms of overall intelligibility and accuracy In five areas such as nuclear stress, word stress, syllable structure, consonants and vowels. According to the findings of the study, pronunciation errors were made by the subjects more frequently In word stress than any other area of pronunciation accuracy. The Pearson correlation analysis showed that intelligibility was related with word stress, syllable structure, consonants and vowels, and the stepwise multiple regression analysis indicated that, among the above five areas of pronunciation accuracy, word stress best accounted for the intelligibility of a given sentence. In the conclusion, the importance of teaching pronunciation of in those five areas with a special focus on word stress was emphasized m terms of intelligibility.

  • The Teachers' Job Stress Scale(D'Arienzo, 1981) and the General Self-Efficacy Scale(Kim & Cho, 1996) were used to study 170 child care teachers. Data were analyzed by one-way ANOVA, Pearson's partial correlation, stepwise multiple regression(forward), path analysis, Internal consistency(Cronbach's $\alpha$), and factor analysis. Results showed that job stress was low for teachers of the national child care center, university graduates, higher salaried, and married teachers. Self-efficacy was high among teachers with more than 2 years experience, married status, and previous experience. Correlation between teacher's job stress and self-efficacy was -.19. Self-efficacy and demographic variables for job stress explained 8~22% of the variability. Self-efficacy intermediated between job stress and demographic variables. Monthly salary directly affected job stress.

The stress levels was measured by stress scale that consisted of 65 items regarding personal characters family, school, and peer factors. The data were analyzed by ${\chi}^2$-test, t-test, ANOVA, and multiple regression using the SPSS/WIN 12.0 statistical program. Results: 1st graders and female students showed higher stress levels than 2nd, 3rd graders and male students, respectively. Conclusion: Grade, gender, life satisfaction, and regional levels were all significant factors associated with high stress levels among middle school students. Development of stress management program for this specific population, especially targeting students who are 1st Grader and living in rural areas, is needed.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the mediating effect of perceived appraisal support between neuroticism and occupational stress in firefighters. Methods: The subjects of this study were 156 firefighters who worked at three fire stations in G province in Korea. The collected data were analyzed by t-test, ANOVA, and multiple regression analysis using Baron and Kenny's method for mediation. Results: There were significant relationships between neuroticism and perceived appraisal support (r=.30, p<.001), neuroticism and occupational stress (r=.42, p<.001), and perceived appraisal support and occupational stress (r=.36, p<.001). Perceived appraisal support showed partial mediating effects in the relationship between neuroticism and occupational stress. Conclusion: The impact of neuroticism in firefighters was mediated by perceived appraisal support for occupational stress. This suggests that strategies for enhancing perceived appraisal support in fire fighters should be considered when developing neuroticism management interventions for decreasing their occupational stress.
