  • Physical layer security (PLS) can improve the security of both terrestrial and nonterrestrial wireless communication networks. This study proposes a simplified framework for nonterrestrial cyclic prefixed orthogonal variable spreading factor (OVSF)-encoded multiple-input and multiple-output nonorthogonal multiple access (NOMA) systems to ensure complete network security. Various useful methods are implemented, where both improved sine map and multiple parameter-weighted-type fractional Fourier transform encryption schemes are combined to investigate the effects of hybrid PLS. In addition, OVSF coding with power domain NOMA for multi-user interference reduction and peak-toaverage power ratio (PAPR) reduction is introduced. The performance of $\frac{1}{2}$-rated convolutional, turbo, and repeat and accumulate channel coding with regularized zero-forcing signal detection for forward error correction and improved bit error rate (BER) are also investigated. Simulation results ratify the pertinence of the proposed system in terms of PLS and BER performance improvement with reasonable PAPR.

  • In recent days, cooperative diversity and communication security become important research issues for wireless communications. In this paper, to achieve low probability of interception (LPI) and high throughput in the cooperative single-carrier frequency division multiple access (SC-FDMA) system, a new physical layer transmission scheme is proposed, where a new encryption algorithm is applied and adaptive modulation is further considered based on channel state information (CSI). By doing so, neither relay node nor eavesdropper can intercept the information signals transmitted from user terminal (UT). Simulation results show above new physical layer transmission scheme brings in high transmission safety and secrecy rate. Furthermore, by applying adaptive modulation and coding (AMC) technique according to CSI, transmission throughput can be increased significantly. Additionally, low peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) characteristic can still be remained due to the uniform distribution of random coefficients used for encryption algorithm.

  • Mobile Crowd Computing is one of the most efficient and effective way to collect the Electronic health records and they are very intelligent in processing them. Mobile Crowd Computing can handle, analyze and process the huge volumes of Electronic Health Records (EHR) from the high-performance Cloud Environment. Electronic Health Records are very sensitive, so they need to be secured, authenticated and processed efficiently. However, security, privacy and authentication of Electronic health records(EHR) and Patient health records(PHR) in the Mobile Crowd Computing Environment have become a critical issue that restricts many healthcare services from using Crowd Computing services .Our proposed Efficient Multi-layer Encryption Framework(MLEF) applies a set of multiple security Algorithms to provide access control over integrity, confidentiality, privacy and authentication with cost efficient to the Electronic health records(HER)and Patient health records(PHR). Our system provides the efficient way to create an environment that is capable of capturing, storing, searching, sharing, analyzing and authenticating electronic healthcare records efficiently to provide right intervention to the right patient at the right time in the Mobile Crowd Computing Environment.

  • A design file can get larger in size as the complexity of the target object increases. A large design file may reside in a large parallel computing system, such as cloud computing systems, and many designers may work concurrently on the same design file. In such a case, it is obvious that we need some kind of protection mechanism so that each user can access only the area of the file he or she is entitled to. Two approaches can be taken for this problem: one is the traditional access control mechanisms and the other encryption techniques. We take the latter approach to ensure the safety of the file even in public domain such as clouding systems, and in this paper, we suggest an encryption scheme for a file where the file is encrypted in multi-layer so that each user is allowed to access the file only at the layer for which the user has the proper access right. Each layer of the file is encrypted with different keys and these keys are exposed only to those who have the right access permit. The paper explains the necessary file format to achieve this goal and discusses the file manipulation functions to handle this new file format.

  • In this paper, we propose a SPN 256 bit block cipher so called XSB(eXtended SPN Block cipher) which has a symmetric structure in encryption and decryption. The proposed XSB is composed of the even numbers of N rounds where the first half of them, 1 to N/2-1 round, applies a pre-function and the last half of them, N/2+1 to N round, employs a post-function. Each round consists of a round key addition layer, a substiution layer, a byte exchange layer and a diffusion layer. And a symmetry layer is located in between the pre-function layer and the post-function layer. The symmetric layer is composed with a multiple simple bit slice involution S-Boxes. The bit slice involution S-Box symmetric layer increases difficult to attack cipher by Square attack, Boomerang attack, Impossible differentials cryptanalysis etc.

  • Feistel and SPN are the two main structures in a block cipher. Feistel is a symmetric structure which has the same structure in encryption and decryption, but SPN is not a symmetric structure. Encrypt round function and decrypt round function in SPN structure have three parts, round key addition and substitution layer with S-box for confusion and permutation layer for defusion. Most SPN structure for example ARIA and AES uses 8 bit S-Box at substitution layer, which is vulnerable to Square attack, Boomerang attack, Impossible differentials cryptanalysis etc. In this paper, we propose a SPN which has a symmetric structure in encryption and decryption. The whole operations of proposed algorithm are composed of the even numbers of N rounds where the first half of them, 1 to N/2 round, applies a right function and the last half of them, (N+1)/2 to N round, employs an inverse function. And a symmetry layer is located in between the right function layer and the inverse function layer. The symmetric layer is composed with a multiple simple bit slice involution S-Boxes. The bit slice involution S-Box symmetric layer increases difficult to attack cipher by Square attack, Boomerang attack, Impossible differentials cryptanalysis etc. The proposed symmetric SPN block cipher with bit slice involution S-Box is believed to construct a safe and efficient cipher in Smart Card and RFID environments where electronic chips are built in.

  • The multi-tenancy and high scalability of the cloud have inspired businesses and organizations across various sectors to adopt and deploy cloud computing. Cloud computing provides cost-effective, reliable, and convenient access to pooled resources, including storage, servers, and networking. Cloud service models, SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS, enable organizations, developers, and end users to access resources, develop and deploy applications, and provide access to pooled computing infrastructure. Despite the benefits, cloud service models are vulnerable to multiple security and privacy attacks and threats. The SaaS layer is on top of the PaaS, and the IaaS is the bottom layer of the model. The software is hosted by a platform offered as a service through an infrastructure provided by a cloud computing provider. The Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) delivers cloud-based apps through a web browser. The stateless nature of HTTP facilitates session hijacking and related attacks. The Open Web Applications Security Project identifies web apps' most critical security risks as SQL injections, cross-site scripting, sensitive data leakage, lack of functional access control, and broken authentication. The systematic literature review reveals that data security, application-level security, and authentication are the primary security threats in the SaaS model. The recommended solutions to enhance security in SaaS include Elliptic-curve cryptography and Identity-based encryption. Integration and security challenges in PaaS and IaaS can be effectively addressed using well-defined APIs, implementing Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and standard syntax for cloud provisioning.
