The Mathematics Teaching Efficacy Beliefs Instrument is one of the most popular instruments used to measure elementary preservice teachers' efficacy beliefs in mathematics teaching. The instrument was, however, developed in the United States and is perhaps not appropriate for other cultures. In this study, the instrument was translated into Korean and carefully reviewed by Korean mathematics teacher education professors. Analysis of the review indicated that eight out of the 21 items were appropriate while the others needed to be revised. Items were identified as inappropriate due to awkwardness, multiple meanings, tense disagreements, and vagueness. These items were modified to better fit the Korean context. The instrument was revised with two versions: one for elementary and the other for secondary pre service teachers.

The ability to determine the optimal frequencies and offsets for independent and unrestricted ordering cycles for multiple items can be very valuable for managing storage capacity constrained facilities in a supply chain. The complexity of this problem has resulted in researchers focusing on more tractable surrogate problems that are special cases of the base problem. Murthy et al. (European Journal of Operation Research 2003) developed insights leading to solution of the original problem and present a heuristic for offsetting independent and unrestricted ordering cycles for items to minimize their joint storage requirements. However, their study cannot find optimal solution due to the Greedy Heuristic solution procedure. In this paper, we present a complete procedure to find the optimal solution for the model with a integer programming optimization approach and genetic algorithm. Numerical examples are included to compare each model with that of Murthy et at. Research of this type may prove useful in solving the more general problem of selecting order policies to minimize combined holding, ordering, and storage costs.
The ABC analysis is a widely used inventory control technique which consists of classifying inventory items into three categories according to annual dollar usage and concentrating managerial efforts on the high value items. But its major weakness is that the classification is somewhat arbitrary and is made in the light of single criterion, the annual usage. In this paper, a modified approach using TOPSIS is proposed where 1) the inventory items are ranked, rather than classified into three categories, in the order of relative importance and 2) the latter is determined by considering the multiple criteria such as annual usage, difficulty of procurement, lead time and shelf life. A case study was performed with the field data from a company producing electronical parts. The rank order produced by TOPSIS was judged quite reasonable by the company inventory control manager.

In many inventory situations, items for sales are generally stocked in a multiple of variations called stockkeeping units, such as size, color, style, and so on. For better management performance on sales items, proper and effective management is necessary for the stockkeeping units. In dealing with many items and those stockkeeping units, individual inventory analysis for each stockkeeping unit needs large amount of time or cost. Also the individual approach in inventory planning increases the demand variation of an item as the result by combining of demand variations of all stockkeeping units, accordingly the inventory turnover ratio and profitability are dropped down. This research suggests an effective method of systematic control of total stockkeeping units by generating from the total item basis, and shows how to reduce the safety stock and the average inventory with attaining a planned customer fill rate of the item and each stockkeeping units.
The purpose of this study was to develop a standardized performance style Multiple Intelligences Test for preschoolers(MIT-P). A total of 270 preschoolers(3~5-years-old) participated in this study. Tools and procedures were developed to measure performance in 7 areas of multiple Intelligences(linguistic, mathematical, science, social, music, art and kinesthetic). The final test set included 138 items. Reliability of the MIT-P was relatively high(Cronbach alpha =.92). Intercorrelations among measures of the 7 areas indicated construct validity. Based on these results, the pilot study of MIT-P is considered adequate to form the basis of a new test that would help teachers and parents to identify children's strengths and weaknesses and may be useful for educational planning.
A cyber shopping mall is a place where consumers acquire product information, and make purchase decisions in the cyber space. Even though it offers many advantages over traditional malls, there are still several limitations to do shopping in an existing cyber mall. One of these limitations is the absence of an efficient shopping aid to compare multiple items from multiple malls. Existing search systems usually support a keyword search with limited conditions. Consumers spend lots of their time to compare multiple alternatives from search results. In this paper, we propose an intelligent product search system. There are two main features in our system. The first one is a full support of comparison shopping with multiple perspectives based on commercial search engines. The second one is an enhancement to the shopping aid based on a new concept of Shopping AssistanT. Our system is implemented in Visual Basic and PERL, and experimental results show a satisfactory performance.

This study focused on the development of a scale measuring the effect of consumer education. The purposes of this study were to develop a tool which could measure consumer knowledge, consumer attitudes and consumer behavior. Data were collected from 266 college students. Analysis was done using frequency, cross tabulation analysis, reliability test, principle components factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis (Amos 5.0), and multiple regression analysis. The results from this study were as follows: 1) Nine consumer knowledge factors (23-items) were identified: consciousness of consumer education and evaluation, consumer rights and allowance management, methods of consumer education and consumer institutions, green energy and environmental consumption, essence and content of consumer education, consumer rights and consumer duty, critical consideration and consumer's damage salvation, buying minds and decision-making, independent consumers. Total variance was 58.4%. Cronbach's alpha for the nine factors ranged from .68-.79. 2) Five consumer attitude factors (26-items) were identified: green environmental consumption, consumer's role and rights, resources saving and consumer's damage salvation, consciousness of consumers, and right consumption. Total variance was 59.2%. Cronbach's alpha for the five factors ranged from .89-.94. 3) Seven consumer behavior factors (27-items) were identified: social role and rights of consumer and consumer movement, right buying and segregated garbage collection, green environmental consumption and resources saving, altruism and decision-making, allowance management and impulse buying, consumer's damage salvation, and consciousness of consumer. The total variance was 59.1%. Cronbach's alpha for the seven factors ranged from .77-.88. Finally, a scale measuring the effect of consumer education consisting of 76 items (consumer knowledge: 23 items (9 factors), consumer attitude: 26 items (5 factors), consumer behavior: 27 items (7 factors)) was constructed.

To provide the information necessary for the insurance medicine management plan, price discount rates among the insurance medicines were studied. A total of 2,107 items of insurance medicine of which prices were discounted via governmental inspections of real transactional process of insurance medicine were analysed. The conclusions are as follows; 1. Among the variables relevant to the characteristics of manufacturers, price discount rates of insurance medicines were statistically significant with production rankings of manufacturers, incorporation year, existence of investments by foreign corporation, existence of a research institute, and enrollment in the exchange. And among the variables relevant to the properties of medicines, the number of enrolled items which have the same components, classification, the date of new enrollment, the sales of items, and the number of raw materials in the items were statistically significant. 2. Stepwise multiple regression was done to identify the factors which affect the price discount rates of insurance medicines. The number of enrolled items which have the same components, production rankings of manufactures, classification number (medicines for function of tissue cells), incorporation year(1940-1949), existence of investments by foreign corporations, classification number (anti-germ medicines), number of raw materials In the items, the sales of items, and medicines whose major objective is not treatment were significant variables and the $R^2$-value for these variables was 21.2%. Considering all of the above results, for management of insurance medicines, it seems important that the real transactional prices of insurance medicines should be identified systematically, focusing on the properties which affect the price discount rates of insurance medicines.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between perceptual orientation and four aspects of clothing behavior. Perceptual orientation was measured with Choi's Perceptual Orientation Scale, and clothing satisfaction was assessed with Lim and Lee questionnaire. Clothing importance was measured with some items of Kirby's Clothing Attitudes and additional items prepared for this study, Clothing comfort was measured Ivith some items of Creekmore Scales of Eight Clothing Variables and additional items prepared for this study. Clothing conformity was measured by some items of Selker's The Clothing Conformity Inventory and Carpenter's Clothing Opinion Scale and the Kim questionnaire, along with additional items for this study. Altogether 43 items were used. The questionnaire was completed by 480 second year junior and senior high school boys in Seoul. Statistical analysis was performed using the correlation coefficient, t-tests, multiple regression analysis, and analysis of variance. The results were : 1) Perceptual orientation was positively related to clothing satisfaction. 2) Perceptual orientation was negatively related to clothing conformity. 3) Scores of senior high school boys on self-perception and total perception were significantly higher than these of junior high school boys. 4) Clothing satisfaction, clothing conformity and clothing importance were different according to the grade level. That is, junior high school boys had a higher clothing satisfaction ana senior high school boys had a higher clothing conformity and clothing importance score.
The purpose of this research is first, to define what measurement items in terms of subjective consideration and preference can be used to assess the landscape values of agriculture and fisheries heritage, and second, to understand the perceptive patterns particularly how landscape experts weigh up the importance of the each measurement item. In order to extract the measurement items, extensive literature review was performed including research documents as well as domestic and international policy reports. A survey targeting the experts was conducted to ask their opinions on the importance of the selected items. For the analysis, SPSS 20.0 for Windows was used to carry out reliability analysis, descriptive statistics such as arithmetic mean and frequency distribution, factor analysis, and multiple linear regression modeling. The results are: the importance value of the landscape values in agriculture and fisheries heritage was 4.1494; the ratio value that the experts perceived the importance was 87.2%; and the average of the importance value of the analyzed items was 3.71. All the items have more than 3.00. Ten factor groups were summarized and defined whose total explanation power was 67.86%. The factor groups were named as lyricism, authenticity, environmentally-friendliness, durability, recognizability, regionality, visibility, value of sightseeing, social image, and universality. The factors influencing the landscape values are, in order of importance, recognizability, authenticity, visibility, universality, durability, and nativeness. According to the analysis, however, environmentally-friendliness, regionality, value of sightseeing, and social image were not as important.
