  • Industry 4.0 is continuous automation by applying the latest smart technologies to traditional manufacturing industries. It means that large-scale M2M (Machine-to-Machine) communication and IoT (Internet of Things) technologies are well integrated to build efficient production systems by analyzing and diagnosing various issues without human intervention. Edge computing is widely used for M2M services that handle real-time interactions between devices at industrial machinery tool sites. Here, secure data transmission is required while interacting. Thus, this paper focused on a method of creating and maintaining secret key and security tag used for message authentication between end-devices and edge-device.

Eye Perception Difference Between the Conservative and the Liberal : Verification of Personal Tendency using Eye-tracking Machine

  • Measuring and evaluation of audience's visual message perception are crucial process for scientific production of visual content. This study tried to evaluate the difference of viewer's awareness of visual object depends on his or her inherent characteristics like conservatism using an eye tracker system. Especially, this experiment tested research questions about positive correlation between conservatism and peoples' eye movements following the sound visual messages. 57 subjects participated in the test. Two different groups were exposed to two visual elements representing 'the conservative' and 'the liberal'. The results showed that people tended to have different way of seeing visual objects according to their inherent characteristics. Also by comparing the gaze time at the object and area of interest(AOI) in visual, this study is able to verify the existence of 'positive way of seeing' and 'negative way of seeing'. The two different ways of seeing have their own trail of eye movement.

  • 기반 망 없이 네트워크 구축이 이루어지는 애드 혹 네트워크 기술이 다양한 방면에서 활용되고 있다. 애드 혹 네트워크에서 널리 사용하는 AODV(Ad-hoc On Demand Distance Vector)라우팅 알고리즘을 사용한다. 하지만 빈번하게 경로가 변경될 수 있는 상황에서 이러한 라우팅 알고리즘을 사용하게 되면 경로를 생성 및 복구에 사용되는 제어 메시지의 과도한 사용으로 인해 메시지간의 충돌과 손실될 문제가 발생하게 된다. 이 논문에서는 기존의 AODV 라우팅 프로토콜의 경로 생성에 필요한 RREQ, RREP 메시지를 하나의 메시지로 통합하는 라우팅 알고리즘을 제안한다.

  • In this paper, an IoT system which is increasingly popular in these days is developed. Among various international standards on the area, one M2M communication protocol is used in the system. The 0neM2M-based IoT system consists of ADN-AE modules and CSE modules. The ADN-AE module provides applications of various services. It also monitors a CSE module. The CES module is a platform that provides common services which should be provided to various AEs in an IoT system. The CSE module consists of a Network Manager module, a Message Handler module, and a Resource Manager module. The Network Manager module controls oneM2M communication and data flow in the system. The Message Handler module processes transmitted messages and the Resource Manager module manages the Resource Tree. The resource tree stores information of the objects to be managed in the system. Also, internal data flow and protocol mapping in the modules are explained.

  • 최근 환경 문제를 해결하기 위하여 환경 문제의 많은 컴퓨터 기술들이 응용되고 있다. 환경 정보는 환경오염원 및 주위에 미치는 영향과 오염된 농도에 대한 정보를 연구 및 분석 할 수 있는 분야이다. 최근 환경에 관련 연구가 일부에서 수행되고 있으나 이를 IT기술과 접목하여 다양한 정보를 효율적으로 저장 및 검색 할 수 있는 시스템은 부족한 실정이다. 또한 현재 환경오염의 측정방법으로는 수작업으로 이루어지는 경우가 많아서 공간적 및 물리적 제약이 있는 따르는 실정이다. 환경오염에 관한 정보를 센서를 사용하여 사용자에게 실시간으로 효과적으로 저장 관리하여 관련된 연구자들 간에 서로가 필요한 정보를 쉽게 공유할 수 있도록 본 논문에서는 Ubiquitous Sensor Network(USN), Java Message Service(JMS) 및 Webservice를 이용한 환경 모니터링 서비스를 제안 한다. 본 논문에서 제안한 시스템은 환경정보와 사용자간에 유연성, 확장성 및 실시간을 보장해 주는 시스템을 구현한다.

  • This paper proposes an adaptive multislot allocation algorithm in order to achieve large system capacity and higher throughput data transmissions. The proposed system is the combination of the slow adaptive modulation system, in which the base station dynamically a signs optimum modulation parameters measuring the CNR(carrier to noise power ratio) of each transmission terminal, and the multislot allocation scheme, in which the base station flexibly allocates an appropriate number of TDMA data slots according to the instantaneous load conditions. Computer simulations confirm that the proposed system can tremendously improve average message delay characteristics in comparison with the conventional fixed slot allocation method.

  • IP multimedia subsystem (IMS) is an open standardized architecture for delivering multimedia service over IP network in a route-agnostic manner. With the increasing popularity of conversational class service, the delivery of a traffic flow with a certain bandwidth demand over a single network path is either not possible or not cost-effective. Multipath transmission is considered to be a promising solution to provide high-quality delivery service. This paper proposes a software defined service overlay network (SDSON) based multipath transmission framework for IMS, which is complementary to existing network architecture. The framework transforms original two-party session negotiation into three-party session negotiation that supports participants to negotiate multipath transmission capacity and path information by signaling message. Based on existing IETF standards, SIP and SDP are scalable to support these functions. Finally, the proposed framework is fully implemented on open source platform and examined by experiments. Experimental results show that multipath-enabled IMS is an effective way to improve the delivery performance of conversational class service.

Stable Recovery Strategy According to Mobility of Mobile Host (모바일 호스트의 이동성에 따른 안정적인 복구 기법)

  • The Network can be easily damaged in the mobile computing environment. Mobile Support Station (MSS) which supports the Mobile Host(MH) could also be unstable too. Therefore, when a critical error occurs the repairing cost can be high. For stable repair, the hand-off strategy should be considered to save the continuing message and checkpoint information, and to reduce the cost of network repair. In this paper, we propose the Switching Trickle(ST) strategy which reduces the repairing cost for the MH's mobility. ST strategy changes the way which stores the information in connection with the number of write events(r) that occur from the hands-off strategy. Accumulated cost by increased mobility has been simulated too. From the results of simulation, the proposed strategy has shown more cost effective than the conventional strategy. The proposed strategy also has shown very supportive in saving checkpoint and message log information stably.

  • Almost every mobile phone supports MMS to send and receive multimedia messages among users. MMS is suitable for different types of mobile phones and effectively operates in wireless environments. So the mobile content delivery method using MMS can be efficient. However, there would be some problems if a mobile service provider tries to deliver mobile content to subscribers by using the existing MMS. In this paper, we propose an improved data transmission and control scheme for MMS. Our scheme assists mobile service providers to deliver mobile contents easily by modifying the MMS system software. By using our scheme, mobile service providers are able to manage mobile contents stored in mobile devices. Therefore, they can provide various services such as mobile daily news service, automatic software upgrade service, mobile advertising service, etc. We verify the possibility of the proposed scheme through simulation.
