  • In this paper, for maintaining the presentation quality of multimedia contents, we define the several events that can happen in showing when handle the multimedia contents. Also we classified these events in 4 types based on each characteristic. Furthermore we design the event model which can manage synchronization of presentation by control and managing the events. Also we propose an idea that maintain the quality of presentation service by interaction between each module and threads related in progress of show. Especially, in this research, we focus the active process for the user's participant and the unpredictable state variation of IMPSs(Interacitve Multimedia Presentation Systems).

  • This paper presents an improved scheme for detection of the physical broadcast channel (PBCH) in long-term evolution (LTE)-based fifth-generation (5G) multimedia broadcast and multicast services (MBMS) and 5G new radio (NR) for cellular broadcast. In the time domain, by combining the correlations between the received signal and primary synchronization signal (PSS) within all SS/PBCH blocks, the frame synchronization and the start position of the SS/PBCH blocks can be obtained. In this paper, to improve the detection performance of PBCH for 5G NR, a combining scheme of PBCH signals within a frame is proposed. In addition, the performance of the proposed detection scheme is evaluated and the performance is compared with the conventional scheme for PBCH detection of LTE-based 5G MBMS. The simulation results show that the detection performance of PBCH for 5G NR is improved by combining the PBCH signals and outperforms LTE-based 5G MBMS under the additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN), fixed, and mobile environments.

  • Multimedia title needs player that depends upon operate system. This raises problems of data compatibility and resource consumption by overlapping development of player. To solve problems, we propose a method which produce multimedia title contents to internet document and then display on internet browser. Contents in multimedia title are transcoded to internet pages, having greate quality, based on CSS Layer for spatial synchronization of multimedia data. This method converts existing DB into XML for multimedia title including personal information. Therefore, XML data and resource information is playable by private multimedia player. Consequently, user can display multimedia content without player using internet browser in anytime.

  • In this paper, an adaptive multimedia synchronization scheme for VOD (Video On Demand) services in internet environments is proposed. This scheme considers the characteristics of MPEG (Moving Picture Expert Group) system stream. Consequently, the intra-synchronization is handled at the pack layer, and the inter-synchronization is handled at the packet layer. The proposed scheme can cope adaptively with variation of packet loss, jitter and client's playback capacity. If there are variations of the packet loss or client's playback capacity, the server will change the transmission rate by selective picture skip. The client can then adjust and control the playback time according to the variation of the network jitter. Our experimental results show that the proposed scheme can quickly adapt to the network condition, and can guarantee a better quality of service than the other existing schemes.

  • According as services that offer multimedia streams are activated on the Internet, users who use these services we increased extremely. As a result of this, the increase of network traffic was occurred. Also it caused the problems such as the discontinuous playback in case of the s#ream playback and the asynchronization between a video and an audio. To solve these problems, it needs a method that guarantee the stable playback of media streams and a method of media transfer that can interact between a service user and media. Existing related researches has achieved the synchronization through various methods, but did not shown the results of satisfaction in the aspect of interaction. In this paper, we inserted the interactive objects in each media file, designed functions that these objects can use each other's information, and solved the interaction and the synchronization between a video and an audio. Also, we solved the discontinuous playback of a stream by the insufficiency of network bandwidth through using variable buffers.

  • In this paper, we propose a stereo-video transmission method for reduction of delay and maximization of 3D effect. Conventional multimedia synchronization algorithms were designed to achieve minimum delay and synchronize multiple video and audio streams, however, they could not be effective for 3D video transmission. In this paper, we proposed a synchronization algorithm by considering the minimum error of time difference between streams for 3D effect. The minimum error of time difference for 3D effect was derived based on a 3D subjective quality test. We compute display time of the delivered videos within the allowed time-difference and the video are displayed according to the display time. To evaluate the performance of the proposed algorithm, we implemented a real-time video communication system and subjective quality test has been conducted with the proposed system. We found that video quality displayed by the proposed system. We found that video quality displayed by the proposed algorithm ranks 'good' and 'excellent' in the DMOS (Differential Mean Opinion Score) scale, based on the MOS (Mean Opinion Score) test.

  • The visual motivation between AP devices is NTP-based visual motivation through the access of the Internet through the internal wired LAN, but this has several seconds of visual difference in hundreds of milliseconds (msec) depending on the network. The frame for the output of the video will vary depending on the application, but usually 24 (image) frames are output to the screen in one second. Therefore, the visual synchronization between peripheral devices can be performed through the adjacent moving camera device, not the wired method. The programming method of generating API for synchronization command when creating an application for visual synchronization and delivering it to AP through MAC may differ from the time in synchronization command according to the environment of the operating system at the transmission side and the situation of the buffer queue of the MAC. Therefore, as a method to solve this problem, the renewal of visual information in the device driver terminal controlling MAC can be much more effective.

  • In this paper, we propose a P4P based P2P system for live multimedia streaming services. In order to satisfy the strict requirement of delay in live multimedia streaming, in the proposed scheme, the P4P server of network provider provides the network status information related to delay and congestion links to P2P system in addition to the information to optimize the network resource utilization. The P2P system server, then, makes the peering suggestion based on the information from the network server. Also, we propose a playback synchronization mechanism that enable each peer to start the playback within the limited variation from the playback positions of source peer. Through the simulation results, it is shown that the proposed scheme not only deals with the original objective of the P4P framework, i.e., effective network utilization, but also the live multimedia streaming requirements. It enhances the playback continuity, and reduces the playback start-up latency and the control overhead. In addition, the proposed scheme reduces the variation in playback positions of the peers.
