This work identifies the key factors influencing the success of multidisciplinary, interdisciplinary, and trans-disciplinary R&D projects in transition economies by integrating knowledge management, organizational, inter/intra-collaboration (open-innovation), and leadership perspectives, while also addressing the perspective of the science of team science, which is an integrative approach to R&D. This is followed by providing the major sub-constructs of team science and policy implications to better facilitate multidisciplinary, interdisciplinary, and transdisciplinary R&D projects in knowledge-based transition economies.

This study particularly looked at educational philosophy and content of Design Academy Eindhoven in Holland which provides multidisciplinary design education. For it might be important data for examining the educational substance and directivity in design that help construct education system in design for a new era among the varying design paradigm. The biggest feature of DAE education system designed for students to optimize their ability with systematic education of 8 contexts with 4 approaches through innovative specialty system. Besides, their interaction helps students major in what is individual specialty. Most of all, the study on the contents of DAE's multidisciplinary education is expected to be significant data for our design education that lacks integrative perspective in the respect that students might be able to develop their identity as an individual designer in changing society beyond the mere technical and formative level of design.

The importance of reliability engineering has increased in recent years. Many studies have been carried out into reliability in a variety of research domains, largely focused on industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, electronics engineering, materials engineering and statistical science. However, most of these studies were carried out without collaboration between different areas of study. Here, we analyze research papers and patents regarding reliability that were published during the past five years, and describe core trends in the development of reliability technology from a multidisciplinary perspective.

As cultural diversity has gained a great deal of attention and the social fabric of Korean society is redefined, the number of studies on multi-cultural family homes has been growing in the area of human ecology, but relevant research is rarely found on the subject of housing. While the emphasis of housing research is on multidisciplinary approaches and empirical research is highly valued, a theoretical and methodological platform for discussing the new rising agenda of multi-cultural family homes is lacking. The purpose of this study was to explore approaches to and to discuss the issues in research for multi-cultural family homes in terms of housing theories and multidisciplinary approaches. To understand the housing related needs of multi-cultural families, this study highlights social constructionism, the ecological perspective, and feminist epistemology. These three multidisciplinary approaches were useful for generating an ontological analysis of multi-cultural family homes. Further, this study highlights two housing related theories, the microsociological and housing pathways approaches, for dealing with multi-cultural family homes. In conclusion, the five approaches were useful for exploring issues in housing research on multi-cultural family homes with appropriate research methods like hermeneutics, quantitative, and qualitative methods, and field research. Insights into using perspectives and holistic approaches might be useful for solving the problems of multi-cultural family homes in Korea.

As the significance of knowledge convergence continues to grow, universities are making efforts to develop methods that promote multidisciplinary learning. To address this educational challenge, our paper applies network theory and text mining techniques to analyze university curricula and introduces a graphical syllabus rendering method. Visualizing the course curriculum provides a macro and structured perspective for individuals seeking alternative educational pathways within the existing system. By visualizing the relationships among courses, students can explore different combinations of courses with comprehensive search support. To illustrate our approach, we conduct a detailed demonstration using the syllabus database of Yonsei University. Through the application of our methods, we create visual course networks that reveal the underlying structure of the university curriculum. Our results yield insights into the interconnectedness of courses across various academic majors at Yonsei University. We present both macro visualizations, covering 18 academic majors, and visualizations for a few selected majors. Our analysis using Yonsei University's database not only showcases the value of our methodology but also serves as a practical example of how our approach can facilitate multidisciplinary learning.

A System engineering is a management technique that simultaneously interates all essential acquisition activities through the use of multidisciplinary teams to optimize the design, manufacturing, business, and supportability processes. This work describes two case studies of the defence acquistion prigram applied SE. It is presented a general understanding of SE and perspective of SE applications for defense acquisition process.

4차 산업혁명이 빠른 속도로 전개됨에 따라 대학이 생존하기 위한 조건으로 대학에 주어진 본질적 사명을 시스템 이론의 관점에서 재조명할 필요가 있다. 본 연구에서는 대학을 고등교육 서비스를 통해 고부가가치를 창출하는 5차 서비스 산업으로 규정하고, 경영학을 기반으로 한 다학제적(Multidisciplinary) 관점의 접근을 시도하되 특히 서비스 운영관리이론에 기초하여 이를 재조명함으로써 대학경영의 과학적 합리화를 위해 다양한 대학관계자에게 새롭고 참신한 시각을 제공하려고 시도하였다. 이를 위해 대학의 본질적 사명인 교육, 연구, 봉사를 제대로 수행하기 위한 교육조직, 연구조직, 봉사조직, 그리고 이들에 대한 지원조직의 성격을 분류하고 이들에 맞는 경영행위를 수행하기 위한 개념과 기법을 탐색하는 것이 본 연구의 일차적 목적이다. 또한, 학문적·실무적 관점에서 대학을 고등교육 서비스를 통해 고부가가치를 창출하는 5차 서비스 산업으로 규정한 뒤 경영학적 관점에서 새로운 접근을 시도하되 보다 구체적으로는 서비스 경영이론, 특히 서비스 운영관리이론에 기초하여 대학 행정을 재조명함으로써 대학경영의 과학적 합리화를 위한 새로운 관점과 수단을 제공하는 것, 나아가 대학 총장을 CEO의 관점에서 바라보는 최근의 한 경향을 반영하여 이를 학문적으로 체계화시켜보려는 것이 본 연구의 구체적인 목적이다. 이를 통해 새로운 환경변화에 대응할 수 있는 체계적이고 과학적인 대학경영조직의 이상형을 모색해보고자 하였다.

The importance of selecting the strategic research field is increasingly emphasized by research manager and technology policy-maker in perspective of the strategic allocation of R&D resources, employing the R&D personnel, and formulating technology policy. Among various methods for selecting the strategic research field, it is, however, very difficult to find the method that involves the path-dependant trend, and interdisciplinary nature of technology development. This study suggests modified technology cluster analysis (TCA) as a method for selecting strategic research field in order to include the recent technology trend in quantitative approach. TCA is the method that groups the near technologies of which the innovation pattern is similar. TCA model can be a very necessary method for multidisciplinary government research institutes (GRIs) which conduct multi research field with forward oriented positioning. It is more difficult for them to select the strategic research field mainly due to their diversity and intangibility of research scope. In this study, we applied this method to Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST) which represents the most adequate research institute in terms of research diversity and forwardness. As a result of the application, we found that seven main technology groups come from TCA analysis, coincide with the technology topics of KIST's recent R&D planning. Even though this method designed for multidisciplinary research institutes, but it also can be used for establishing the research strategy of other (private or public) Research Institute which have the similar mission and scope of research.

본 연구에서는 기존의 소프트웨어 품질 평가 기술 및 표준화 연구에 대해서 종합적으로 정리하고, 이를 토대로 요구분석을 통한 소프트웨어 품질 평가 모델을 개발하였다. 또한, 현재 소프트웨어 품질 평가 국제 표준화 동향에 있어서도 소프트웨어의 품질 평가 국제 표준화 문서 ISO/IEC 9126과 ISO/IEC 14598의 두 문서를 통합하여 ISO/IEC 25000으로 제정하기 위한 내용을 참조하였다. 그리고 사용자 관점의 요구사항을 고려하여 각 분야별 특성을 파악해 모바일 RFID 품질 평가 모델을 개발하고 평가자 관점의 모바일 RFID 시험방법을 개발하여 모바일 RFID 품질을 향상시키는데 목적이 있다.

This study reviews how an aging society can be connected to the urban-built environment, transportation system, infrastructure, and climate change topics from the perspective of policy and innovation in science and technology. Each topic was described with the aging society that we will encounter in the near future. Based on the expected discussions, we suggested how policy and technological innovations may interact with the new emerging society. Especially, digital transformation is expected to hyper-connect the aging society beyond physical barriers where numerous policies and innovations in science and technology shed light on the elderly population. We observe, however, that this cannot be achieved only by the government sector; rather, municipal governments and local communities, as well as private sectors, all together need to prepare for the new society of the aging population. Furthermore, an ideal approach is to accommodate multidisciplinary studies that can address the policy and technological innovations simultaneously and collectively. By doing so, we can minimize the negative impacts when an aging society approaches.
