  • Data of central government and local government was collected automatically from the public data portal. And we did the multidimensional analysis based on various perspective like file format and present condition of public data. To complete this work, we constructed Data Warehouse based on the other countries' evaluation index case. Finally, the result from service level evaluation by using multidimensional analysis was used to display each area, establishment, fields.

  • The current manufacturers have generated tremendous amount of digitized product data to efficiently share and exchange it with other stakeholders or various software systems for product development. The digitized product data is a valuable asset for manufacturers, and has a potential to support high level strategic decision makings needed at many stages in product development. However, the lack of studies on extraction of key performance indicators(KPIs) from product data management(PDM) databases has prohibited manufacturers to use the product data to support the decision makings. Therefore this paper examines a possibility of an architecture that supports KPIs for evaluation of product development performances, by applying multidimensional product data model and on-line analytic processing(OLAP) to operational databases of product data management. To validate the architecture, the paper provides a prototype product data management system and OLAP applications that implement the multidimensional product data model and analytic processing.

  • Most important factor for successful operation of collaborative project, which is a project based curriculum, is systematic and rational assesment. In this paper, we design and implement multidimensional performance assessment support system which can overcome simplicity of result-oriented evaluation. In the proposed system, learner can diagnose problems and improve those by oneself. We design the system satisfying both professor and student about evaluation results through evaluating total course of collaborative project.

  • Previous research efforts on performance evaluation of multidimensional indexes typically have used synthetic data sets distributed uniformly or normally over multidimensional space. However, recent research research result has shown that these hinds of data sets hardly reflect the characteristics of multimedia database applications. In this paper, we discuss issues on generating high dimensional data and query sets for resolving the problem. We first identify the features of the data and query sets that are appropriate for fairly evaluating performances of multidimensional indexes, and then propose HDDQ_Gen(High-Dimensional Data and Query Generator) that satisfies such features. HDDQ_Gen supports the following features : (1) clustered distributions, (2) various object distributions in each cluster, (3) various cluster distributions, (4) various correlations among different dimensions, (5) query distributions depending on data distributions. Using these features, users are able to control tile distribution characteristics of data and query sets. Our contribution is fairly important in that HDDQ_Gen provides the benchmark environment evaluating multidimensional indexes correctly.

  • This study was intended to identify fabric impact on decision-making process for clothing purchase, to determine evaluation factors of clothing, and to analyze consumer's preference for fabric on clothing purchase. 396 questionnaires distributed to college students were analyzed by descriptive statistics, oneway ANOVA, correlation, factor analysis and multidimensional scaling. The results are as follows; (1) Fabric impacted on the pre-purchase evaluation and the post-purchase process. (2) 4 factors - physical properties, outer-consciousness, self-satisfaction, and appropriateness- were determined as evaluation factors. Though fabric was included in the physical properties, fabric presented high correlations with other evaluative elements. (3) The most preferred fabric was being composed of natural fiber in fiber contents and having softness in sensation. As a result of multidimensional scaling, 2 dimensions of fabric sensation were developed as 'soft-hard'and 'thin-thick'.

  • The importance of ecosystem service such as green spaces has risen due to restrictions on outdoor activities amid the climate crisis and COVID-19. While gardens significantly impact economic development, quality of life, and social well-being, comprehensive studies on their multidimensional values are lacking. This research categorizes garden values into social, cultural, environmental, and health dimensions and proposes an integrated assessment framework that introduces detailed elements and evaluation methods. An empirical assessment of carbon storage index in two Korean gardens, Semiwon and Juknokwon, reveals Semiwon's higher carbon storage per unit area. The proposed framework, emphasizing a quantitative approach, enables cross-national and regional comparisons, contributing to a broader understanding and evaluation of garden values beyond specific facilities.

  • Currently, Ubiquitous Computing Technology(UCT)-based service scenarios play an important role in estimating the potential of UCT-based service. The purpose of the study is to propose a multidimensional evaluation(ME) methodology for UCT-based service scenarios regarding their possibilities of realization for the future. Our approach contributes to extend service level management in Information Technology Service Management(ITSM) by evaluating the level of a new service in advance. ME consists of three dimensions: technological evaluations, business-oriented evaluations, and user-oriented evaluations. The three types of evaluations are mutually harmonized to check the overall possibility of realization and validity for certain UCT-based service scenarios. Theoretically, ME is developed to overcome the extant evaluation methods for UCT-based service scenarios, which are limited in the number of evaluation criterions. It is also conceived to cope with the limitation of economical evaluation methods (e.g., technological valuation, estimation of financial outcomes such as ROI, ROA, etc. that are difficult to give meaningful results because most of UCT-based services are not fully realized so far. From the practical perspectives, in addition, our approach can be applied to a variety of scenarios due to its domain-independent approach.

  • Engineering changes are indispensable engineering and management activities for manufactures to develop competitive products and to maintain consistency of its product data. Analysis of engineering changes provides a core functionality to support decision makings for engineering change management. This study aims to develop a method for analysis of engineering changes based on On-Line Analytical Processing (OLAP), a proven database analysis technology that has been applied to various business areas. This approach automates data processing for engineering change analysis from product databases that follow an international standard for product data management (PDM), and enables analysts to analyze various aspects of engineering changes with its OLAP operations. The study consists of modeling a standard PDM database and a multidimensional data model for engineering change analysis, implementing the standard and multidimensional models with PDM and data cube systems and applying the implemented data cube to core functions of engineering change management, the evaluation and propagation of engineering changes.

  • The multilevel grid file(MLGF) is a dynamic multidimensional file organization supporting multi-attribute accesses efficiently. The paper proposes new method for batch-constructing MLGFs. Our method consists of two phases. The first phase begins by relocating all the objects in order that logically adjacent objects in multidimensional domain space are clustered in one dimensional physical space. For this, our method employs the Z-ordering scheme, which effectively maps multidimensional space into one dimensional space preserving proximity. The second phase paginates the relocated objects and creates leaf level directory entries, each of which corresponds to a object page. Simultaneously, it performs same actions on the directory entries recursively in a bottom-up fashion until the root directory fits in a page. For performance evaluation, we analyze our method in terms of the number of page accesses. The result shows the optimality of our method.
