The study has conducted a research on the main shape of domestic multi-family residential buildings. The four arrangements were selected after the research and each of them was analyzed for daylight, view and natural ventilation according to the different pitch of buildings. Based on the results from the analysis, the optimum pitch of buildings for each of the arrangements are as follows. With looking at the outcomes from the analysis on changes in residential environment by the pitch of building buildings in the four arrangements, it was figured out that it would be the best if the distance is more than 1.0H for Case_1. For Case_2, it should be more than 0.9H and for Case_3, it has to be 1.0H or more. Last but not least, it seems to be superb if the distance is more than 0.9H for Case_4.

Large curved plate blocks are widely used to construct hull structure in shipbuilding industry. Most curved plates are manufactured by using manual method called as line heating that use deformation caused by residual stress after local heating along a line which is perpendicular to the curvature direction. However, its working environment is poor and its formability is totally dependent on an experienced technician. In view of that, multi-point dieless forming (MDF) technology that use reconfigurable punch arrays instead of one piece die is proposed in this study. The MDF process is based on a concept of equivalent die surface made by numbers of punches which has round tip at the end of it. In this study, numerical simulation for common curvature type such as saddle shape was carried out. In addition, experiments in the plate forming process were also conducted to compare with the numerical results in view of final configuration. Consequently, it was noted that the proposed dieless forming method has considerable feasibility to substitute the new process for conventional manual method.

In this paper, we propose a novel routing protocol called the Cartography Enhanced OLSR (CE-OLSR) for multi hop mobile ad hoc networks (multi hop MANETs). CE-OLSR is based on an efficient cartography gathering scheme and a stability routing approach. The cartography gathering scheme is non intrusive and uses the exact OLSR reduced signaling traffic, but in a more elegant and efficient way to improve responsiveness to the network dynamics. This cartography is a much richer and accurate view than the mere network topology gathered and used by OLSR. The stability routing approach uses a reduced view of the collected cartography that only includes links not exceeding a certain distance threshold and do not cross obstacles. In urban environments, IEEE 802.11 radio signals undergo severe radio shadowing and fading effects and may be completely obstructed by obstacles such as buildings. Extensive simulations are conducted to study the performances of CE-OLSR and compare them with those of OLSR. We show that CE-OLSR greatly outperforms OLSR in delivering a high percentage of route validity, a much higher throughput and a much lower average delay. In particular the extremely low average delay exacerbated by CE-OLSR makes it a viable candidate for the transport of real time data traffic in multi hop MANETs.

Purpose & Method: Based on a large amount of research concerning the recognition of local residents in an era of an increasing number of multi-cultural families, this study aimed to provide fundamental data for program development and policies. As well, the data was stratified based on understanding of multi-cultural society, recognition of multi-cultural families, and social and economic adaptability of multi-cultural families. Result: The available literature supports the view that an understanding of a multi-cultural society and recognition of multi-cultural families encourages an emphasis on maintaining ethnicity and respect for diverse cultures. Parental approval for friendships with members of multi-cultural families tends to be encouraged, although there is still resistance to marital ties with such families. The literature indicates that immigrant women participate in economic activities of their adopted locale and adapt to the new societal structure. A positive correlation between recognition and interests in social and economic adaptiveness was apparent. Conclusion: Findings of the study suggest that complement, development, and application of realistic programs and institutional policies are required to understand multi-cultural families and establish a multi-cultural society. Ongoing research will be valuable in resolving outstanding questions and clarifying political alternatives.

In this paper, we describe the technology about multiview video coding which is a hot issue in diqital video coding. A multiview video coding (MVC) is able to provide a free view point and 3-D effect, resulting that it gives more realism to users. Now, the MVC has been standardized as an amendment of H.264/AVC. In this paper, we present not only the MVC standard but also relevant techniques which were under consideration in the MVC standardization.

The correspondence problem for stereo image matching plays an important role in expanding view points as multi view video applications become more popular. The conventional disparity estimation algorithms have limitation to find exact disparities because they consider not image features but similiar intensity points. Thus we propose an efficient disparity estimation algorithm considering features of stereo image pairs. As simulation results, our proposed method confirms better intermediate views than the existing block-matching methods.
