간접 힘 측정 방법과 가상 역행렬을 이용한 힘 예측 (Forces Prediction by Indirect Force Measurement and Pseudo-inverse Technique)

  • In the design of structure, the forces acting on tai structure are key parameter fur noise and vibration control. However, in the complex structure, the forces at the injection point on the structure cannot be measured directly. So, it is necessary to find out Indirect force evaluation method. In this paper, forces have been measured with In-situ vibration responses and system information. And, three existing techniques of indirect force measurement, vita. direct inverse. principal component analysis and regularization have been compared. This paper shows that multi-vibration responses are essential for talc precise estimation of the forces. To check these conditions, rotary compressor is adopted as test sample, because it is very difficult to measure the injection forces from internal excitation to shell. It alas also been obtained that relatively higher force is transmitted through three welding paths to the compressor shell. It shows a good agreement between direct and indirect force evaluation with curvature shell and plate.

  • The SAR(Solar Array Regulator) of KOMPSAT(Korea Multi Purpose SATellite)-1, 2 regulates a photovoltaic power according to the duty ratio commands of the ECU. But the ECU has so many other jobs that it can not calculate the solar array condition immediately. It means the SAR cannot always generate the maximum power of a photovoltaic. Nowadays, the commercial photovoltaic systems are using a controller operated by digital processing. But the usage for satellite is not adaptable. It is not easy to find the processor of the space grade and the price is expensive. So in this paper, the simple analog MPPT(Maximum Power Point Tracking) algorithm is proposed for the small satellite in LEO. This algorithm does not need any calculation of power by multiplication of voltage and current md a measurement of the solar array temperature. It is consist of only two sample and hold circuits, two comparators, a flip-flop, and an integrator. The proposed MPPT algorithm is verified by the simulation and experimental.

Control Scheme Using Forward Slip for a Multi-stand Hot Strip Rolling Mill

  • Forward slip is an important parameter often used in rolling-speed control models for tandem hot strip rolling mills. In a hot strip mill, on-line measurement of strip speed is inherently very difficult. Therefore, for the set-up of the finishing mill, a forward slip model is used to calculate the strip speed from roll circumferential velocity at each mill stand. Due to its complexity, most previous researches have used semi-empirical methods in determining values for the forward slip. Although these investigations may be useful in process design and control, they do not have a theoretical basis. In the present study, a better forward slip model has been developed, which provides for a better set-up and more precise control of the mill. Factors such as neutral point, friction coefficient, width spread, shape of deformation zone in the roll bite are incorporated into the model. Implementation of the new forward slip model for the control of a 7-stand hot strip tandem rolling mill shows significant improvement in roll speed set-up accuracy.

  • MSC (Multi-Spectral Camera) system is a remote sensing instrument to obtain high resolution ground image. EOS (Electro-Optic System) for MSC mainly consists of PMA (Primary Mirror Assembly), SMA (Secondary Mirror Assembly), HSTS (High Stability Telescope Structure) and DFPA (Detector Focal Plane Assembly). High performance of EOS makes it possible for MSC system to provide high resolution and high quality ground images. Temperature of the EOS needs to be controlled to be in a specific range in order not to have any thermal distortion which can cause performance degradation. It is controlled by full redundant CPU based electronics. The validity of thermistor readings can be checked because a few thermistors are installed on each control point on EOS. Various kinds of thermal control logics are used to prevent 'Single Point Failure'. Control logic has a few set of database in order not to be corrupted by SEU (Single Event Upset). Even though the thermal control logic is working automatically, it can also be monitored and controlled by ground-station operator. In this paper, various ways of thermal control logic for EOS in MSC will be presented, which include thermal control mode and logic, redundancy design and status monitoring and reporting scheme.

3차원 얼굴 표정 추적을 위한 스테레오 시각 모듈 설계 및 구현 (Design and Realization of Stereo Vision Module For 3D Facial Expression Tracking)

  • 본 연구에서는 2개의 CMOS 영상 센서가 탑재된 스테레오 시각 모듈을 사용하여 얼굴 움직임 및 표정을 효과적으로 추적할 수 있는 얼굴용 모션 캡쳐 기술을 제안한다. 제안한 추적 알고리즘에는 신경회로망 기반의 중심점추적기법 및 상관추적기법을 사용한다. 실험 결과, 일반 얼굴 표정에 대해 스테레오 시각 모션 캡쳐를 사용한 두 추적기법 모두 15, 30프레임율에 대해 각각 95.6%, 99.6%의 추적성공률을 가진다는 것을 보여준다. 그러나 '입술 떨림'의 경우, 입술부위는 중심점추적기법(82.7%/15frame, 99.1%/30frame)의 추적성공률이 상관추적기법(78.7%/15frame, 92.7%/30frame)보다 높다는 것을 보여준다.

  • Although the strain distribution along the length of a beam in buildings or infrastructures is non-uniform, most fiber optic sensors are point sensors that can measure the strain only at a local point of a beam. Long gage fiber optic sensors that measure integrated strain over a relatively long length can consider strain variation. This type of sensor was found to be efficient and useful for monitoring large-scale structures. On the other hand, the maximum strain or stress in a beam can not be measured with long gage optic sensors. However, for the assessment of the safety of multi-span steel beams subjected to various vertical loads, the maximum strain or stress measured during monitoring is required for comparison with the allowable stress of the beam calculated by a design code. Therefore, in this paper, mathematical models are presented for determination of the maximum values of strains in more three-span steel beams based on the average strains measured by long gage optic sensors.

The Impact of Online and Offline Wine Purchase Channels on Consumer Perceptions of Wine Attributes and Repurchase Intention

  • Purpose - This study investigates the effects consumer perceptions of wine attributes have on repurchase intention. It examineshow wine purchase channels (online or offline) influence perceptions about wine attributes and repurchase intention. Research design, data, and methodology - A total of 390 responses from Florida residents over 21 were collected using online surveys. Responses were analyzed using exploratory factor analysis to identify the underlying wine attribute factors. Multiple regression and multi-group analysis were employed to test the hypotheses. Results - Results revealed that consumer perceptions of wine attributes (sensory, origin, reputation, and price point) significantly influence their repurchase intention. Additionally, the effects of wine attributes on repurchase intentions were found to be significantly different based on the channel used. Findings indicated that wine attributes pertaining to reputation and price point strongly influenced repurchase behavior of online consumers, while offline wine consumers were influenced more by sensory and origin attributes. Conclusions - Study findings provide useful information for wine industry sales channels for developing new marketing strategies to effectively attract wine consumers to repurchase wine.

드론 제어용 데이터링크 안테나 설계 (Data-link Antenna Design for Drone Control)

  • 드론 제어를 위한 C대역 무지향성 안테나는 드론의 상부 또는 하부에 장착되어 통신링크를 구성하기 위해 사용된다. 통신링크는 무지향성 안테나 장착위치에 따라 LOS(: Line Of Sight)의 영향을 받게 된다. 본 논문에서는 드론 탑재를 위한 내장형 안테나 2종을 상용 시뮬레이션 툴인 CST MWS로 설계하고, 장착 환경을 고려한 EM(: Electro Magnetic) 해석을 수행하였다. 또한, 다수의 드론을 제어하기 위한 PTMP(: Point To Multi Point) 지상안테나를 제안하였다. 지상안테나는 30km의 통신반경을 갖기 위해 수평방향으로 4개의 섹터안테나와 상부에 1개의 지향성안테나로 구성하였다.

  • This paper proposes a shift-register-based multichannel ultrasonic focusing delay control method using a complex programmable logic device (CPLD) for a high resolution of ultrasonic focusing system. The proposed method can achieve the ultrasonic focusing through the delay control of driving signals of each ultrasonic transducer of an ultrasonic array. The delay of the driving signals of all ultrasonic channels can be controlled by setting the shift register in the CPLD. The experiment verified that the frequency of the clock used for the delay control increased, the error of the focusing point decreased, and the diameter of the focusing point decreased as the length of the shift register in the proposed method. The proposed method used only one CPLD for ultrasonic focusing and did not require to use complex hardware circuits. Therefore, the resources required for the design of an ultrasonic focusing system could be reduced. The proposed method can be applied to the fields of human computer interaction (HCI), virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR).
