멀티 인버터 히트펌프의 동특성 해석 프로그램의 개발 (Development of the Dynamic Simulation Program for the Multi-Inverter Heat Pump Air-Conditioner)

  • A dynamic simulation model was developed to analyse the transient characteristics of a multi-inverter heat pump. The programs included a basic air conditioning system such as a evaporator, condenser, compressor, linear electronic expansion valve (LEV) and by-pass circuit. The theoretical model was derived from mass conservation and energy conservation equations to predict the performance of the multi-inverter heat pump at various operating conditions. Calculated results were compared with the values obtained from the experiments at different operation frequencies of compressor, area of the LEV and configuration of indoor units operation. The results of the simulation model showed a good agreement with the experimental ones, so that the model could be used as an efficient tool for thermodynamic design and control factor design of air-conditioners.

  • In the present study, the cooling and heating operation characteristics of a multi-heat pump have been experimentally investigated for the number of the indoor units(A, B, C) and the operating conditions. The heat pump was controlled by an inverter scroll compressor. The performance of the heat pump was measured by the multi-calorimeter of an air enthalpy method. Cooling and heating capacities and COPs were obtained at the cooling and heating temperature conditions and the setting temperatures of an indoor unit. With increasing the operation frequency of the compressor, the cooling and heating capacities of the heat pump increased linearly. The operation frequency region of the compressor was different as the combination of the indoor unit and the cooling/ heating condition.

  • In the case of heat exchangers operating under frosting condition, the growth of frost layer causes the heat exchanger to increase the thermal resistance and pressure loss of the air flow. In this paper, a transient characteristic prediction model of the heat transfer for multi inverter heat pump with frosting on its surface was presented taking into account the change of the fin efficiency due to the growth of the frost layer. In this dynamic simulation program, which was peformed for a basic air conditioning system model, such as evaporator, condenser, compressor, linear electronic expansion valve (LEV) and bypass circuit. The theoretical model was driven from the obtained heat transfer coefficient and mass transfer coefficient, independently. And we consider heat transfer performance was only affected by a decrease of the wind flow area. The calculated results were compared with some cases of experiments for frosting conditions.

  • A system simulation program was developed for a multi-type inverter heat pump. Electronic expansion valve(EEV) was used to extend the capacity modulating range of the heat pump as expansion device. The program was also developed to calculate actual system performance with the building load variation with climate during a year. The performance variation of a multi-type hat pump with two EEV and an inverter compressor was simulated with compressor speed, capacity, and flow area of the EEV. As a result, the optimum operating frequency of the compressor and openings of the expansion device were decided at a given load. As compressor speed increased, he capacity of heat pump increased, the capacity of heat pump increased. Therefore flow area of EEV should be adjusted to have wide openness. Thus the coefficient of performance(COP) of the heat pump decreased due to increasement of compressor power input. The maximum COP point at a given load was decided according to the compressor speed. And under the given specific compressor speed and the load, the optimum openings point of EEV was also decided. Although the total load of indoor units was constant, the operating frequency increased as the fraction of load in a room increased. Finally ad the compressor power input increased, the coefficient of performance decreased.

  • Recently, multi-room type heat pump system has aroused much attention, because it can achieve much reduction of installation cost and space as well as energy saving in companion with the single room type heat pump system. In the present study, performance characteristics of a 3 room type inverter driven heat pump system, which is widely spread in Japanese market, are measured.. In the single room operation, performances of a heat pump system such s the difference of compressor outlet and inlet pressures and the mass flowrate may increase with the increase of cooling capacity so that COP of the system decrease with the increase of cooling capacity. However, in the 2 room operation, mass flowrate and COP of the total system increase markedly as compared with the single room operation.

  • Small and medium-size buildings employ a multi-distributed individual air-conditioning system that utilizes package air conditioners instead of centralized cooling systems, which can allow easier building management and maintenance, along with a diversification of facility use. Inverter driven system heat pumps have been developed to achieve not only an easy distribution control, allowing free combination of indoor units with different models and different capacities, but also wide applications to intelligent air conditioning. However, the control algorithms of the system heat pump are limited in the open literature, due to complicated operating conditions. In this paper, an inverter-driven system heat pump having two indoor units with electronic expansion valves (EEV) was simulated in the cooling mode. An integral optimum regulating controller employing the state space control method was also simulated, and applied to the system-heat pump system, to obtain efficient control of the MIMO (multi input multi output) system. The simulation model for the controller yielded satisfactory prediction results. The new control model can be successfully utilized as a basic tool in controller design.

동특성을 고려한 열펌프의 엑서지 해석 (Exergy analysis of heat pump in consideration of its dynamic response)

  • A multi-type heat pump controls the mass flow rate of the working fluid to cope with variable heat loads when it is under dynamic load condition. This paper describes the exergy analysis associated with the dynamic response of heat pump. First, a basic heat pump cycle is examined at steady state to show the general trends of exergy changes in each process of the cycle. Entropy generation issue in the exchangers is discussed to optimize the heat pump cycle. Second, the performance of the inverter-driven heat pump is compared to that of the conventional one when the heat load is variable. Third, the exergy destruction rate associated with the ON/OFF operations of the heat pump is calculated by simulating the thermodynamic states of the condenser and the evaporator. The inefficiency of the ON/OFF operation during the transient period is quantitatively revealed by the exergy analysis.

  • 본 실험연구는 인버터 압축기를 적용한 실내기 3실을 가진 멀티형 열펌프 시스템의 난방운전 시 열펌프의 난방성능을 연구하였다. 멀티형 열펌프의 운전특성은 항온항습 기능을 가진 공기엔탈피방식의 멀티형 칼로리미터를 이용하여 측정되었다. 난방표준 및 난방저온 온도조건에서 실내기 운전조합에 따른 실험을 수행하여 난방성능 변화를 관찰하였다. 실내기 3실을 가진 열펌프의 실내기 운전조합에 따른 난방표준 및 난방저온 운전에서 난방능력, 난방 COP, P-h선도로부터, 3실을 가진 열펌프의 운전특성과 냉매 사이클의 거동을 조사하였다. 열펌프의 운전부하와 성능은 실내기 조합에 의한 부분부하에 의존하므로 열펌프의 난방능력과 사이클의 거동은 다르게 관찰되었다. 표준온도 시험조건 대비 저온 시험조건의 난방능력과 난방 COP는 감소하였다. 또한 실내기 조합에 대한 냉매사이클은 P-h 선도를 사용하여 분석되었다.
