This paper introduced a novel multi-gas sensor detector with simple signal processing algorithm. This device was evaluated by investigating the characteristics of combustible materials using fire-generated smell and smoke. Plural sensors including TGS821, TGS2442, and TGS260X were equipped to detect carbon monoxide, hydrogen gas, and gaseous air contaminants which exist in cigarette smoke, respectively. Signal processing algorithm based on the difference of response times in fire-generated gases was implemented with early and accurately fire detection from multiple gas sensing signals. All fire experiments were performed in a virtual fire chamber. The cigarette, cotton fiber, hair, polyester fiber, nylon fiber, paper, and bread were used as a combustible material. This analyzing software and sensor controlling algorithm were embedded into 8-bit micro-controller. Also the detected multiple gas sensor signals were simultaneously transferred to the personnel computer. The results showed that the air pollution detecting sensor could be used as an efficient sensor for a fire detector which showed high sensitivity in volatile organic compounds. The proposed detecting algorithm may give more information to us compared to the conventional method for determining a threshold value. A fire detecting device with a multi-sensor is likely to be a practical and commercial technology, which can be used for domestic and office environment as well as has a comparatively low cost and high efficiency compared to the conventional device.
A multi-channel gas leakage monitoring system was designed and fabricated by using CPLD(complex Programmable Logic .Device) for monitoring and controlling the leakage of natural gas from supplying-pipes under the ground. Fabricated SnO$_2$thick film gas sensor elements were attached on safeguard steel plate of natural gas supplying pipes, and the local monitoring system in this study received the signal from the gas sensors. The monitoring system was implemented by using CPLD chip to reduce the development time and implement simple one chip system. The time division multi-channel system received the input signal from individual gas sensor at one of divided times by multiplexor and signal processed sequentially. The system reduced the size of peripheral circuit resulted in implementation of creditable simple system.

To develop gas-distinguishing sensor system, it is highly required to integrate multiple sensors for effective detection of a single targeted gas or mixture of gases. In addition, it is important to collect the reliable data from individual sensors into one integrated measuring device. Collecting the data of toxic gases on the spot should be done without inhalation. We suggest simple wirelessly running system for data collection that guarantees both reliability of data sources and safety. Here, we made a multi-gas measuring instrument(device) combined with Bluetooth module which provides a safe and precise big data accumulation system.
Test devices can perform various functions, such as research on detection targets, sensors that detect detection targets, combined products containing sensors, and certification for the launch of combined products. However, the scope of use of test devices is limited because they perform only a single role or could only serve a particular purpose in the past. Therefore, studies on test devices that can perform various functions, such as research on detection targets, sensors that detect detection targets, combined products containing sensors, and certification for the release of combined products are necessary. Accordingly, this study proposes a test device that can increase the scope of use in the technical field of electric fires. In addition, we examine various outcomes of the proposed test device.

We report a highly sensitive $NO_2$ gas sensor based on multi-layer graphene (MLG) films synthesized by a chemical vapor deposition method on a microheater-embedded flexible substrate. The MLG could detect low-concentration $NO_2$ even at sub-ppm (<200 ppb) levels. It also exhibited a high resistance change of ~6% when it was exposed to 1 ppm $NO_2$ gas at room temperature for 1 min. The exceptionally high sensitivity could be attributed to the large number of $NO_2$ molecule adsorption sites on the MLG due to its a large surface area and various defect-sites, and to the high mobility of carriers transferred between the MLG films and the adsorbed gas molecules. Although desorption of the $NO_2$ molecules was slow, it could be enhanced by an additional annealing process using an embedded Au microheater. The outstanding mechanical flexibility of the graphene film ensures the stable sensing response of the device under extreme bending stress. Our large-scale and easily reproducible MLG films can provide a proof-of-concept for future flexible $NO_2$ gas sensor devices.
Natural gas Hydrate is an ice-like crystal containing natural gas it. Natural gas hydrate is studied as a new energy resource and a factor for seafloor slope stability and global warming. The unique pressure and temperature stability conditions of natural gas hydrate have challenged the research efforts. In this study, a new tool to study hydrate-bearing sediments and the preliminary results are introduced. The device can sustain 20MPa of the fluid pressure and apply 5MPa of the vertical effective stress under the temperature control. Cell can be scanned by X-ray CT scanner and also has the capability of multi-sensor data acquisition. Preliminary results suggests various application of the cell to hydrate-bearing research.
In this study, highly sensitive hydrogen micro gas sensors of the multi-layer and micro-heater type were designed and fabricated using the micro electro mechanical system (MEMS) process and palladium catalytic metal. The dimensions of the fabricated hydrogen gas sensor were about $5mm{\times}4mm$ and the sensing layer of palladium metal was deposited in the middle of the device. The sensing palladium films were modified to be nano-honeycomb and nano-hemisphere structures using an anodic aluminum oxide (AAO) template and nano-sized polystyrene beads, respectively. The sensitivities (Rs), which are the ratio of the relative resistance were significantly improved and reached levels of 0.783% and 1.045 % with 2,000 ppm H2 at $70^{\circ}C$ for nano-honeycomb and nano-hemisphere structured Pd films, respectively, on the other hand, the sensitivity was 0.638% for the plain Pd thin film. The improvement of sensitivities for the nano-honeycomb and nano-hemisphere structured Pd films with respect to the plain Pd-thin film was thought to be due to the nanoporous surface topographies of AAO and nano-sized polystyrene beads.

Through the development and dissemination of embedded devices, studies that may help patients are rapidly emerging. Recently, as wearable devices have become one of the ways to diagnose diseases in daily life, they are being studied as a way to assist severely ill patients to lead their daily lives. Among them, a method of detecting and giving signals to detect and solve symptoms using acceleration sensors to diagnose Parkinson's disease is being studied, and there is no study to measure and analyze various factors that can affect Parkinson's disease. To solve them, we designed and developed a wearable device, P-Band, with various sensors capable of diagnosing related symptoms, including acceleration sensors capable of diagnosing Parkinson's disease. In this paper, the overall structure of the P-Band and the description and operation method of the measurable sensors are presented. In addition, it was confirmed that the symptoms of Parkinson's patients could be determined complexly through the results measured in actual patients.

Gas sensors has been used very differently that depending on following purposes; Automotive (exhaust gas, fuel mixture gas, oxygen, particulates), agriculture / food industry (fresh, stored, CO2, humidity, NH3, nitrogen oxide gas, organic gas, toxic gas emitted from pesticides and insecticides), industrial / medical (chemical gas, hydrogen, oxygen and toxic gases), military (chemical weapon), environmental measurements (CO and other air pollution consisting of sulfur and nitrogen gas), residential (LNG, LPG, butane, indoor air, humidity). The types of industrial toxic substances are known about 700 species and many of these exist in gaseous form under normal conditions. he multi-gas detection sensors will be developed for casualties that detect the most important and find easy three kinds of gases in marine plant; carbon dioxide(CO2), carbon(CO), ammonia(NH3). Package block consists of gas sensing device minor ingredient, rf front end, zigbee chip. Develope interworking technology between the sensor and zigbee chip inside a package. Conduct a performance test through test jig about prototype zigbee sensor module with rf output power and unwanted emission test. This research task available early address when poisonous gas leaked from large industrial site and contribution for workers' safety at the enclosed space.
