레이레이 계수의 최소화에 의한 내부고유치 계산을 위한 병렬준비행렬들의 비교 (Comparisons of Parallel Preconditioners for the Computation of Interior Eigenvalues by the Minimization of Rayleigh Quotient)

  • 최근에 CG 반복법을 이용하여 레이레이 계수를 최소화함으로써 대칭행렬의 내부고유치를 구하는 방법이 개발되었다 그리고 이 방법은 병렬계산에 매우 적합하다. 적절한 준비행렬의 선택은 수렴속도를 향상시킨다. 우리는 본 연구에서 이를 위한 병렬준비행렬들을 비교한다. 고려된 준비행렬들은 Point-SSOR, 다중색채하의 ILU(0)와 Block SSOR이다. 우리는 128개의 노드를 가진 CRAY-T3E에서 구현하였다. 프로세서간의 통신은 MPI 리이브러리를 사용하였다. 최고 512$\times$512 행렬까지 시험하였는데 이 행렬들은 타원형 편미분방정식의 근사화에서 얻어졌다. 그 결과 다중색채 Block SSOR이 가장 성능이 우수한 것으로 판명되었다.

확장된 스캔 경로 구조의 성능 평가에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Performance Analysis of an Extended Scan Path Architecture)

  • 본 논문에서는 다중 보드를 시험하기 위한 새로운 구조인 확장된 스캔 경로(ESP: Extended Scan Path) 구조를 제안한다. 보드를 시험하기 위한 기존의 구조로는 단일 스캔경로와 다중 스캔 경로가 있다. 단일 스캔경로 구조는 시험 데이타의 전송 경로인 스캔 경로가 하나로 연결되므로 스캔 경로가 단락이나 개방으로 결함이 생기면 나머지 스캔 경로에올바른 시험 데이타를 입력할 수 없다. 다중 스캔 경로 구조는 다중 보드 시험 시 보드마다별도의 신호선이 추가된다 그러므로 기존의 두 구조는 다중 보드 시험에는 부적절하다. 제안된 ESP 구조를 단일 스캔 경로 구조와 비교하면, 스캔 경로 상에 결함이 발생하더라도 그 결함은 하나의 스캔 경로에만 한정되어 다른 스캔 경로의 시험 데이타에는 영향을 주지않는다. 뿐만 아니라, 비스트 (BIST: Built In Self Test)와 IEEE 1149.1 경계면 스캔 시험을 병렬로 수행함으로써 시험에 소요되는 시간을 단축한다. 본 논문에서는 제안한 ESP 구조와 기존 시험 구조의 성능을 비교하기 위해서 수치적 비교를 한다.

  • In multi-ground distribution system, overhead ground wire and neutral wire are parallel connected to offer the electrical power energy and protect damage of lightning strokes. Therefore a case where the two wires become single wire, the power company can get the benefit such as installation cost saving and line fault protection by simplify of distribution line. In this paper we describe the result of impulse test in both system ; one is the present power system the other is unified power system parallel connected overhead ground wire and neutral wire. As a result of this impulse test, the present power system get lower impulse voltage than the unified power system.

  • A fast pattern classification algorithm with Cellular Nonlinear Network-based dynamic programming is proposed. The Cellular Nonlinear Networks is an analog parallel processing architecture and the dynamic programing is an efficient computation algorithm for optimization problem. Combining merits of these two technologies, fast pattern classification with optimization is formed. On such CNN-based dynamic programming, if exemplars and test patterns are presented as the goals and the start positions, respectively, the optimal paths from test patterns to their closest exemplars are found. Such paths are utilized as aggregating keys for the classification. The algorithm is similar to the conventional neural network-based method in the use of the exemplar patterns but quite different in the use of the most likely path finding of the dynamic programming. The pattern classification is performed well regardless of degree of the nonlinearity in class borders.

  • This paper presents the results of the design and implementation of the airborne pulse doppler radar signal processor using high multi-DSP for the multi-function radar capability such as short-range, midium-range, and long-range depending on the mission of the vehicle. Particularly, the radar signal processor is developed using two DSP boards in parallel for the various radar signal processing algorithm. The key algorithms include LFM chirp waveform-based pulse compression, MTI clutter filter, MTD processor, adaptive CFAR, and clutter map. Especially airborne moving clutter Doppler spectrum compensation algorithm such as TACCAR is implemented for the multi-mode airborne radar system. The test results shows the good Doppler spectral separation for the clutter and the moving target in the flight test environment using helicopter

마이크로채널관 내 2상 유량분배, 상분리 및 압력강하 (Two-Phase Flow Distribution, Phase Separation and Pressure Drop in Multi-Microchannel Tubes)

  • The present study investigated two-phase flow distribution, phase separation and pressure drop in multi-microchannel tubes under adiabatic condition. The test section consisted of inlet and outlet headers with the inner diameter of 19.4㎜ and 15 parallel microchannel tubes. Each microchannel tube brazed to the inlet and outlet headers and had 8 rectangular ports with the hydraulic diameter of 1.32㎜. The key experimental parameters were orientation of header (horizontal and vertical), flow direction of refrigerant into the inlet header (in-line, parallel and cross flow) and inlet quality (0.1, 0.2 and 0.3). It was found that the orientation of the header had relatively large effect on the flow distribution and phase separation, while the inlet quality didn't affect much on them. The horizontal header showed the better flow distribution and phase separation characteristics than the vertical one. The parallel flow condition with the horizontal header showed the best performance for the flow distribution and phase separation characteristics under the test conditions. Two-phase pressure drops through the microchannel tubes with the horizontal header were higher than those of the microchennel tubes with the vertical header due to gravitational effect.

병렬 컴퓨터에서 다중블록 유한체적법을 이용한 비압축성 유동해석 (Numerical Prediction of Incompressible Flows Using a Multi-Block Finite Volume Method on a Parellel Computer)

  • Computational analysis of incompressible flows by numerically solving Navier-Stokes equations using multi-block finite volume method is conducted on a parallel computing system. Numerical algorithms adopted in this study $include^{(1)}$ QUICK upwinding scheme for convective $terms,^{(2)}$ central differencing for other terms $and^{(3)}$ the second-order Euler differencing for time-marching procedure. Structured grids are used on the body-fitted coordinate with multi-block concept which uses overlaid grids on the block-interfacing boundaries. Computational code is parallelized on the MPI environment. Numerical accuracy of the computational method is verified by solving a benchmark test case of the flow inside two-dimensional rectangular cavity. Computation in the axial compressor cascade is conducted by using 4 PE's md, as results, no numerical instabilities are observed and it is expected that the present computational method can be applied to the turbomachinery flow problems without major difficulties.

  • As the life cycle of the vehicle become shorter, the method that reduce the development time of new model become more important. In this reason, the development of the simulator that provides similar environment with the actual vehicle road characteristics is increasing. In this paper, the multi-axis simulator is designed and analyzed by kinematic method. The simulator has a function simulating the 3 load elements; vertical, longitudinal, and lateral force respectively and simultaneously. The result of this paper can be used for developing the multi-axis simulator linkage.

  • 반도체 산업은 지속적인 design rule 감소로 인해 직접도 및 Pin Count가 점점 증가함에 따라 보증해야할 회로의 수와 기능이 더불어 증가하고 있으며, 그 중 Test Cost 감소 방법 확보가 시급하게 되었다. 이에 따라 Test Cost 감소와 직결된 Test Time 감소 방법이 다양하게 제시되고 연구되고 있다. 본 논문은 Test Time의 한 부분인 반도체 검사 장비 (Automatic Test Equipment)의 효율적인 제어 방법을 제공함으로써, 관련 분야의 이해를 돕고자 한다.

OPF with Environmental Constraints with Multi Shunt Dynamic Controllers using Decomposed Parallel GA: Application to the Algerian Network

  • Due to the rapid increase of electricity demand, consideration of environmental constraints in optimal power flow (OPF) problems is increasingly important. In Algeria, up to 90% of electricity is produced by thermal generators (vapor, gas). In order to keep the emission of gaseous pollutants like sulfur dioxide (SO2) and Nitrogen (NO2) under the admissible ecological limits, many conventional and global optimization methods have been proposed to study the trade-off relation between fuel cost and emissions. This paper presents an efficient decomposed Parallel GA to solve the multi-objective environmental/economic dispatch problem. At the decomposed stage the length of the original chromosome is reduced successively and adapted to the topology of the new partition. Two subproblems are proposed: the first subproblem is related to the active power planning to minimize the total fuel cost, and the second subproblem is a reactive power planning design based in practical rules to make fine corrections to the voltage deviation and reactive power violation using a specified number of shunt dynamic compensators named Static Var Compensators (SVC). To validate the robustness of the proposed approach, the algorithm proposed was tested on the Algerian 59-bus network test and compared with conventional methods and with global optimization methods (GA, FGA, and ACO). The results show that the approach proposed can converge to the near solution and obtain a competitive solution at a critical situation and within a reasonable time.
