PTZ Camera Based Multi Event Processing for Intelligent Video Network (지능형 영상네트워크 연계형 PTZ카메라 기반 다중 이벤트처리)

  • In this paper we proposed a multi event handling surveillance system using multiple PTZ cameras. One event is assigned to each PTZ camera to detect unusual situation. If a new object appears in the scene while a camera is tracking the old one, it can not handle two objects simultaneously. In the second case that the object moves out of the scene during the tracking, the camera loses the object. In the proposed method, the nearby camera takes the role to trace the new one or detect the lost one in each case. The nearby camera can get the new object location information from old camera and set the seamless event link for the object. Our simulation result shows the continuous camera-to-camera object tracking performance.

A Smart Caching Scheme for Wireless Home Networking Services (무선 홈 네트워킹 서비스를 위한 스마트 캐싱 기법)

  • Discrimination of media object segments in wireless home proxies has a significant impact on caching delay, and caching delay degrades the performance of the proxy. In this paper, we propose a Single Fetching Smart Caching (SFSC) strategy and a Multi-Fetching Smart Caching (MFSC) strategy to improve the proxy performance of the home network and improve the caching performance for media object segments. The SFSC strategy is a technique that performs caching by sequential fetching of object segments requested by the home node one at a time, which guarantees a faster cache hit rate, and the MFSC strategy is a technique that caches the media object segments by blocking object segments requested by the home node one at a time, which improves the throughput of cache. Simulation results show that the cache hit rate and the caching delay are more efficient than the MFSC technique, and the throughput of the object segment is more efficient than that of the SFSC technique.

  • This paper looks at the development of the visual system of robots, and the development of image processing algorism to measure the size of an object and the distance from robot to an object for the visual system. Robots usually get the visual systems with a camera for measuring the size of an object and the distance to an object. The visual systems are accurately impossible the size and distance in case of that the locations of the systems is changed and the objects are not on the ground. Thus, in this paper, we developed robot's visual system to measure the size of an object and the distance to an object using two cameras and two-degree robot mechanism. And, we developed the image processing algorism to measure the size of an object and the distance from robot to an object for the visual system, and finally, carried out the characteristics test of the developed visual system. As a result, it is thought that the developed system could accurately measure the size of an object and the distance to an object.

  • The pre- and post-processor for finite element structural analysis considering the user-friendly device are developed by using GUI. These can be used on WINDOWS' environment which is realized the multi-tasking and the concurrency by object-oriented paradigm. They are designed to control integratedly the pre-processing, execution and the post-processing of the finite element structural analysis program on multiple windows. These object-oriented modeling approach can be used for complex integrated engineering systems.

  • Multi-object tracking has been studied for a long time under computer vision and plays a critical role in applications such as autonomous driving and driving assistance. Multi-object tracking techniques generally consist of a detector that detects objects and a tracker that tracks the detected objects. Various publicly available datasets allow us to train a detector model without much effort. However, there are relatively few publicly available datasets for training a tracker model, and configuring own tracker datasets takes a long time compared to configuring detector datasets. Hence, the detector is often developed separately with a tracker module. However, the separated tracker should be adjusted whenever the former detector model is changed. This study proposes a system that can train a model that performs detection and tracking simultaneously using only the detector training datasets. In particular, a Siam network with augmentation is used to compose the detector and tracker. Experiments are conducted on public datasets to verify that the proposed algorithm can formulate a real-time multi-object tracker comparable to the state-of-the-art tracker models.

  • The multiple cooperating robot system plays an important role in the research of modern manufacturing system as the emphasis of production automation is more on the side of flexibility than before. While the kinematic and dynamic analysis of a single robot is performed as an open-loop chain, the dynamic formulation of robot in a multiple cooperating robot system differs from that of a single robot when the multiple cooperating robots form a closed kinematic chain holding an object simultaneously. The object may be any type from a rigid body to a multi-joint linkage. The mobility of the system depends on the kinematic configuration of the closed kinematic chain formed by robots and object, which also decides the number of independent input parameters. Since the mobility is not the same as the number of robot joints, proper constraint condition is sought. The constraints may be such that : the number of active robot joints is kept the same as mobility, all robot joints are active and have interrelations between each joint forces/torques, two robots have master-slave relation, or so on. The dynamic formulation of system is obtained. The formulation is based on recursive dual-number screw-calculus Newton-Eulerian approach which has been used for single robot analysis. This new scheme is recursive and compact symbolically and may facilitate the consideration of the object in real time.

  • Recently there are many image datasets which has variety of data class and point to extract general features. But in order to this variety data class and point, deep learning model trained this dataset has not good performance in heterogeneous data feature local area. In this paper, we propose the structure which use sub-category and openset object detection methods to train more robust model, named multi-branch tree using ASSL. By using this structure, we can have more robust object detection deep learning model in heterogeneous data feature environment.

  • Tracking the tactical object is a fundamental affair in network-equipped modern warfare. Geodetic coordinate system based on longitude, latitude, and height is suitable to represent the location of tactical objects considering multi platform data fusion. The motion of tactical object described as a dynamic model requires an appropriate filtering to overcome the system and measurement noise in acquiring information from multiple sensors. This paper introduces the filter suitable for multi-sensor data fusion and tactical object tracking, particularly the unscented transform(UT) and its detail. The UT in Unscented Kalman Filter(UKF) uses a few samples to estimate nonlinear-propagated statistic parameters, and UT has better performance and complexity than the conventional linearization method. We show the effects of UT-based filtering via simulation considering practical tactical object tracking scenario.

An Interface Technique for Avatar-Object Behavior Control using Layered Behavior Script Representation (계층적 행위 스크립트 표현을 통한 아바타-객체 행위 제어를 위한 인터페이스 기법)

  • In this paper, we suggested an avatar control technique using the high-level behavior. We separated behaviors into three levels according to level of abstraction and defined layered scripts. Layered scripts provide the user with the control over the avatar behaviors at the abstract level and the reusability of scripts. As the 3D environment gets complicated, the number of required avatar behaviors increases accordingly and thus controlling the avatar-object behaviors gets even more challenging. To solve this problem, we embed avatar behaviors into each environment object, which informs how the avatar can interact with the object. Even with a large number of environment objects, our system can manage avatar-object interactions in an object-oriented manner Finally, we suggest an easy-to-use user interface technique that allows the user to control avatars based on context menus. Using the avatar behavior information that is embedded into the object, the system can analyze the object state and filter the behaviors. As a result, context menu shows the behaviors that the avatar can do. In this paper, we made the virtual presentation environment and applied our model to the system. In this paper, we suggested the technique that we controling an the avatar control technique using the high-level behavior. To solve this problem, we suggested object models that embedded avatar behaviors into object for avatar-object interaction. insert embedded ail avatar behaviors into object. Even though the numbers of objects areis large bigger, it can manage avatar-object interactions by very efficientlyobject-oriented manner. Finally Wewe suggested context menu for ease ordering. User can control avatar throughusing not avatar but the object-oriented interfaces. To do this, Oobject model is suggested by analyzeing object state and filtering the behavior, behavior and context menu shows the behaviors that avatar can do. The user doesn't care about the object or avatar state through the related object.

Multiple Templates and Weighted Correlation Coefficient-based Object Detection and Tracking for Underwater Robots (수중 로봇을 위한 다중 템플릿 및 가중치 상관 계수 기반의 물체 인식 및 추종)

  • The camera has limitations of poor visibility in underwater environment due to the limited light source and medium noise of the environment. However, its usefulness in close range has been proved in many studies, especially for navigation. Thus, in this paper, vision-based object detection and tracking techniques using artificial objects for underwater robots have been studied. We employed template matching and mean shift algorithms for the object detection and tracking methods. Also, we propose the weighted correlation coefficient of adaptive threshold -based and color-region-aided approaches to enhance the object detection performance in various illumination conditions. The color information is incorporated into the template matched area and the features of the template are used to robustly calculate correlation coefficients. And the objects are recognized using multi-template matching approach. Finally, the water basin experiments have been conducted to demonstrate the performance of the proposed techniques using an underwater robot platform yShark made by KORDI.
