유연성 궤도 모델을 사용한 고기동성 궤도차량의 동역학 해석 (Dynamic Analysis of A High Mobility Tracked Vehicle Using Compliant Track Link Model)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 유연성 궤도 모델을 개발하여 고기동성 궤도차량의 다물체 동역학 해석에 응용하는 것이다. 유연성 궤도 모델을 개발하는데는 대체로 두 가지 어려운 문제가 따른다. 첫째로, 해의 안정성을 유지하기 위해 적분구간이 충분히 작아야 한다는 것이다. 즉, 궤도 링크 사이의 유연성 조인트 모델과 충격적인 접촉력에 따른 고진동 입력을 처리해야 한다. 둘째로, 3차원 다물체 궤도차량 모델에 대한 수 많은 운동 방정식을 풀어야 한다는 것이다. 따라서 궤도차량을 샤시와 궤도 부시스템으로 나누고 회귀적인 방법을 사용하여 운동방정식의 수를 최소화하였다. 본 연구에서 개발된 방법을 검증하기 위하여 차량의 가속, 고속주행, 제동, 선회 등의 시뮬레이션을 수행하였다.

A New Training System for Improving Postural Balance Using a Tilting Bed

  • In this paper, we propose an early rehabilitation training system for the improvement of postural balance with multi-modality on a tilting bed. The integration of the visual, somatosensory and vestibular functions is significant to for maintaining the postural control of the human body. However, conventional rehabilitation systems do not provide multi-modality to trainees. We analyzed the characterization of postural control at different tilt angles of an early rehabilitation training system, which consists of a tilting bed, a visual feedback, a computer interface, a computer, and a force plate. The software that we developed for the system consists of the training programs and the analysis programs. To evaluate the characterization of postural control, we conducted the first evaluation before the beginning of the training. In the following four weeks, 12 healthy young and 5 healthy elderly subjects were trained to improve postural control using the training programs with the tilting bed. After four weeks of training, we conducted the second evaluation. The analysis programs assess (center of pressure) COP moving time, COP maintaining time, and mean absolute deviation of the trace before and after training at different tilt angles on the bed. After 4 weeks, the COP moving time was reduced, the COP maintaining time was lengthened, and the mean absolute deviation of the trace was lowered through the repeated use of vertical, horizontal, dynamic circle movement training programs. These results show that this system improves postural balance and could be applied to clinical use as an effective training system.

상하동요 감쇠장치 적용을 통한 새로운 다물체동역학 프로그램의 적용성 검토 (Study on the Applicability of a New Multi-body Dynamics Program Through the Application to the Heave Compensation System)

  • 본 논문에서는 해상 시추작업을 위한 heave compensation system의 시뮬레이션 모델을 개발하였다. 우선 시뮬레이션을 위하여, 다물체계 동역학 커널을 개발하였다. 다물체계 동역학 커널은 입력 받은 heave compensation system 시뮬레이션 모델의 운동학적 정보를 이용하여 recursive Newton-Euler formulation 방법을 기반으로 운동방정식을 자동으로 구성하고, 수치적으로 해를 계산하는 기능을 한다. 그리고 해상 시추선에 작용하는 외력을 계산하기 위하여 유체 정역학적 힘과 유체 동역학적 힘을 계산하는 모듈을 개발하였다. 이와 같이 개발한 커널과 모듈들을 적용하여 해상 시추선의 hoisting system 동적거동 해석을 수행하고, 관절에서의 구속력을 계산하였다.

보행자의 층돌 사고에서 보행자 전도거리에 영향을 주는 인자에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Factors that Influence the Throw Distance of Pedestrian on the Vehicle-Pedestrian Accident)

  • The fatalities of pedestrian account for about 40.0% of all fatalities in Korea 2005. Vehicle-Pedestrian accident generates trajectory of pedestrian. In pedestrian involved accident, the most important data to inspect accident is throw distance of pedestrian. The throw distance of pedestrian can be influenced by many variables. But existing studies have been done for simple factors. The variables that influence trajectory of pedestrian can be classified into vehicular factors, pedestrian factors, and road factors. The trajectory of pedestrian, dynamic characteristics of multi-body were analyzed by PC-CRASH, a kinetic analysis program for a traffic accident. PC-CRASH enables an analyst to investigate the effect of many variables. The influence of the offset of impact point was analyzed by Working Model. Based on the results, the variables that influence trajectory of pedestrian were vehicular frontal shape, vehicular impact speed, the offset of impact point, the height of pedestrian, friction coefficients of pedestrian. However the weight of pedestrian did not affect trajectory of pedestrian considerably.

자동차용 연료펌프의 진동 저감에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Vibration Reduction of an Automobile Fuel Pump)

  • This article presents the reduction of vibration generated by an automobile fuel pump. In order to analyze the vibration of the fuel pump, a simplified dynamic model is established, which is composed of a rigid rotor and a equivalent springs. The equivalent stiffnesses of the upper and lower assemblies are evaluated by the comparison of modal testing results and the finite element analysis. The stiffness for the oil film of the journal bearing is extracted by using Reynold's equation. In addition, the time responses for the vibration of the fuel pump are computed by using a commercial multi-body dynamics software, RecurDyn. Based on these results, some design suggestions are proposed to reduce the vibration of an automobile fuel pump.

후륜 조향 동력학 모델 및 제어 로직 개발 (Development of the Dynamic Model and Control Logic for the Rear Wheel Steering in 4WS Vehicle)

  • In the turning maneuver of the vehicle, its motion is mainly dependent on the genuine steering characteristics in view of the directional stability for stable turning ability. The under steer vehicle has an ability to maintain its own directonal performance for unknown external disturbances to some extent. From a few years ago, in order to acquire the more enhanced handling performance, some types of four wheel steering vehicle were considered and constructed. And, various rear wheel control logics for external disturbances has not been suggested. For this reason, in this posed rear wheel control logic is based on the yaw rate feed back type and is slightly modified by an yaw rate tuning factor for more stable turning performance. And an external disturbance is defined as a motivation of the additional yaw rate in the center of gravity by an uncertain input. In this study, an external disturbance is applied to the vehicle as a form of the additional yawing moment. Finally, the proposed rear wheel control logic is tested on the multi-body analysis software(ADAMS). J-turn and double lane change test are performed for the validation of the control logic.

  • A media-feeding (or media-transport) system is a key component in daily consumer systems such as printers, copiers and ATM's. The role of the media-transport system is to feed a medium, which is usually in the form of a thin film, to the main process in a uniform and repeatable manner. Even small slippage between the media and the feeding rollers could significantly degrade the performance of the entire system. The slippage between the medium and the feeding rollers is determined by many parameters which include the friction coefficient between the feeding rollers and the medium material, the angular velocity of the feeding rollers, and the normal force applied by feeding rollers on the medium. This paper investigates the effect of the normal force and the angular velocity of feeding rollers on the slippage of the medium. Authors have constructed a test bed for experiments, which consists of a feeding module and various measuring devices. Using regular paper as media being fed, the authors experimentally measured the slippage of the medium under various normal forces and angular velocities of driving feeding roller. Also the authors developed a novel two-dimensional simulation model for the media-transport system. The paper medium is modeled as a set of multiple rigid bodies interconnected by revolute joints and rotational springs and dampers. Simulations were executed using a multi-body dynamic analysis tool called RecurDy $n^{ⓡ}$. The slippage obtained by the simulation is compared to experimental results.ults.

A Study on the Steering Performance and Turning Radius of Four-Rows Tracked Vehicle on Hard Ground

  • This study proposes a method to determine the effective angular velocity of each motor of a specific four-rows tracked vehicle (FRTV) in order to follow a given turning radius. The configuration of the four-rows tracked vehicle is introduced, and its dynamics analysis model is built using the DAFUL commercial software. The soil has been assumed to be hard ground, and the friction force between the ground and the tracked links is calculated using the Coulomb friction model. This paper uses a simulation to show that the error in the position increased with respect to the angle of the curvatures, so a method is proposed to compensate for the error in the motion of the motors. Various simulations are then carried out to verify the proposed formulation. The effects of the soil characteristics and the driving velocity will be further investigated in future studies.

Massless Links with External Forces and Bushing Effect for Multibody Dynamic Analysis

  • When the contribution of lightweight components to the total energy of a system is small, tole inertia effects are sometimes ignored by replacing them to massless links. For example, a revolute-spherical massless link generates two kinematic constraint equations between adjacent bodies and allows four relative degrees of freedom. In this paper, to implement a massless link systematically in a computer program using the velocity transformation technique, the velocity transformation matrix of massless links is derived and numerically implemented. The velocity transformation matrix for a revolute-spherical massless link and a revolute-universal massless link are appeared as a 6$\times$4 matrix and a 6$\times$3 matrix, respectively. A massless link model in a suspension composite joint transmitting external forces is also developed and the numerical efficiency of the proposed model is compared to a conventional multibody model. For a massless link transmitting external forces, forces acting on links are resolved and transmitted to the attached points with a quasi-static assumption. Numerical examples are presented to verify the formulation.

충격 지점과 보행자 전도 거리의 상관관계에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Relationship between Impact Point of Vehicle and Throw Distance of Pedestrian)

In pedestrian involved accident, the most important data to inspect accident is throw distance of pedestrian. The throw distance of pedestrian can be influenced by many variables. The variables that influence trajectory of pedestrian can be classified into vehicular factors, pedestrian factors, and road factors. Vehicular factors are the frontal shape of vehicle, impact speed of vehicle, the offset of impact point. Many studies have been done about the relation between impact speed and throw distance of pedestrian. But the influence of the offset of impact point was neglected. The influence of the offset of impact point was analyzed by Working Model, and the trajectory of pedestrian, dynamic characteristics of multi-body were analyzed by PC-CRASH, a kinetic analysis program for a traffic accident. Based on the results, the increase of offset reduced the throw distance of pedestrian. However box type vehicle just like bus, the offset of impact point did not influence the throw distance of pedestrian considerably.
