As interest and demand for high value-added industries, including the global automobile and aerospace industries, have increased recently, demand for line centers with excellent performance that can respond to the production system for producing high value-added products is also rapidly increasing. A line center improves productivity based on the installed area using a multi-spindle compared to a conventional machining center. However, as the number of spindles increases, the weight increases and results in structural problems owing to the heat and vibration generated by each spindle. Therefore, it is necessary to improve machining precision through the structural improvement of the line center. This study presents research on the stabilization design of the line center through structural stability analysis through structural analysis to develop a compact multi-axis line center. An optimization model of the line center has been proposed to improve the processing precision and increase the rigidity by performing weight reduction based on the structural analysis results.

We studied magnetic properties of co thin films deposited on Pd (111) surface, which attracted much attention recently due to the perpendicular magnetic anisotropy, using magnetic circular dichroism(MCD). Special attention was paid on the effect of Pd capping and interface roughness on the direction of magnetic easy axis, and for that purpose MCD signals for all Co thicknesses were measured with two different ways : in-plane and out-of-plane geometry. In case of bare Co films deposited on smooth Pd(111) surface, no MCD signal was observed under 4$\AA$ co thickness. At 4$\AA$ Co thickness, MCD signal at the out-of-plane geometry was observed, and for thicker Co films, only in-plane MCD signal was measured. This type of magnetic easy axis transition has been reported for other cases like Co/Pt system. The effect of 5$\AA$ Pd capping on these bare Co films made an remarkable change on the transition of magnetic easy axis. Out-of-plane MCD signals exists up to 20$\AA$ Co thickness, and disappears at 24$\AA$ Co thickness. In-plane MCD signals first appears at 10$\AA$ Co thickness and gradually increases up to 24$\AA$ Co thickness. Between 10$\AA$ and 20$\AA$ Co thickness, in-plane and out-of-plane MCD signal coexist. The formation of multi-domain structure or the existence of tilted magnetic easy axis is an possible scenario for such an interesting coexistence. The effect of interface roughness was also tested by measuring MCD signal on Co films deposited on un-annealed Pd(111) surface. Out-of-plane MCD signal was observed up to 8$\AA$ Co thickness and the anisotropy of MCD signal at 4$\AA$ Co thickness was very large with respect to that of Co film deposited on the smooth substrate. Above 8$\AA$ thickness, there exists only in-plane MCD signal. From above results, it was concluded that both Pd capping and interface roughness induce and reenforce the perpendicular magnetic anisotropy. The large perpendicular magnetic anisotropy of Co/Pd multilayer system made by sputtering method can be well understood from our results.
A 2-year-old Maltese and a 5-month-old Yorkshire terrier were presented with ataxia. Tetraparesis was observed in a 9-year -old Yorkshire terrier. The localizations of the lesions suggested brain or cervical spinal cord by the neurological examination, and the following images was achieved: radiography, axial images of computed tomography (CT), reconstruction image of CT such as multi-planar reformation(MPR) and 3-dimensional(3D) reconstruction and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). On radiography, the misalignment between atlas (C1) and axis (C2), absent dens of axis, and increased space between the dorsal arch of C1 and spinous process of C2 were found. The discontinuation between dens and body of C2 was identified through axial CT images, and the fragmentation of dens separated from axis was observed through MPR and 3D image in all case. The hyperintense lesions and the spinal cord compression on T2-weighted MR images were represented in a dog with tetraparesis, the others represented only spinal cord compression. Three dogs were diagnosed as atlantoaxial instability (AAI) by dens fracture of C2. The dog with tetraparesis was euthanized due to guarded prognosis. The others were recovered completely. It is difficult to differentiate dens fracture of C2 from abnormal dens such as agenesis and hypoplasia. We thought that CT is very useful to evaluate the dens of C2 and differentiate the causes of AAI, and the reconstruction images of CT such as MPR and 3D make the translation of the fragmented dens or axis of AAI more precisely evaluate.
In order to detect of the magnetic property in the cell unit, we studied the GMR-SV (giant magnetoresistance-spin valves) biosensor, which was depended on the micro patterned features according to two easy directions of longitudinal and transversal axes. Here, the multi layer structure was glass/NiO/NiFe/CoFe/Cu/CoFe/NiFe. The uniaxial anisotropy direction was applied to the patterned biosensor during the deposition and vacuum post-annealing at $200^{\circ}C$ under the magnitude of 300 Oe, respectively. Considering the magnetic shape anisotropy effect, the size of micro patterned biosensor was a $2{\times}5{\mu}m^2$ after the photo lithography process. By our experimental results, we confirmed that the best condition of GMR-SV biosensor should be the same direction of the axis sensing current and the easy axis of pinned NiO/NiFe/CoFe triple layer oriented to the width direction of device, and the direction of the easy axis of free CoFe/NiFe bilayer was according to the longitudinal direction of device.

In this paper, we propose a method to infer the user's behavior and situation through collected data from multi-sensor equipped with a smart clothing and it was implemented as a smart-phone App. This smart-clothes is able to monitor wearer users' health condition and activity levels through the gyro, temp and acceleration sensor. Sensed vital signs are transmitted to a bluetooth-enabled smart-phone in the smart-clothes. Thus, users are able to have real time information about their user condition, including activities level on the smart-application. User context reasoning and behavior determine is very difficult using multi-sensor depending on the measured value of the sensor varies from environmental noise. So, the reasoning and the digital filter algorithms to determine user behavior reducing noise and are required. In this paper, we used Multi-black Filter and SVM processing behavior for 3-axis value as a representative value of one.

In scheduling multi-unit projects, several alternatives can exist in network construction due to repetitiveness of their activities. Project duration is affected not only by the duration of each activity but also by the arrangement of repeating activities in such projects. This paper provides a network compression method that assigns predecessors to each activity to minimize its float time. Different to the previous efforts that utilized line of balance as the base scheduling-model, this research adopts precedence diagram arranged in two coordinates, the space axis and the resource one. This method seeks the most appropriate predecessors for each activity in each direction of the two coordinates for the purpose of minimizing the idle resource and space. This activity arrangement method was applied to a multi-unit apartment-construction project, to prove its capability of network compression. The result shows that the method successfully sought room for saving construction duration by changing the activity arrangement. The network compression method presented in this research can be utilized in multi-unit construction projects such as apartment complex projects.
Multi-source evaporation is one of the methods to improve the thickness uniformity of thin films deposited by evaporation. In this study, a simulator for the relative thickness profile of a thin film deposited by a multi-source evaporation system was developed. Using this simulator, the relative thickness profiles of the evaporated thin films were simulated under various conditions, such as the number and arrangements of sources and source-to-substrate distance. The optimum conditions, in which the thickness uniformity is minimized, and the corresponding efficiency, were obtained. The substrate was a 5th generation substrate (dimensions of 1300 mm ${\times}$ 1100 mm). The number of sources and source-to-substrate distance were varied from 1 to 6 and 0 to the length of the major axis of the substrate (1300 mm), respectively. When the source plane, the area on which sources can be located, is limited to the substrate dimension, the minimum thickness uniformity, obtained when the number of sources is 6, was 3.3%; the corresponding efficiency was 16.6%. When the dimension of the source plane is enlarged two times, the thickness uniformity is remarkably improved while the efficiency is decreased. The minimum thickness uniformity, obtained when the number of sources is 6, was 0.5%; the corresponding efficiency was decreased to 9.1%. The expansion of the source plane brings about not only the improvement of the thickness uniformity, but also a decrement of the efficiency and an enlargement of equipment.

This research propose a practical guidance system considering ocean currents in real sea operation. Optimality of generated path is not an issue in this paper. Way-points from start point to possible goal positions are selected by experienced human supervisors considering major ocean current axis. This paper also describes the implementation of a precise underwater navigation solution using multi-sensor fusion technique based on USBL, GPS, DVL and AHRS measurements in detail. To implement the precise, accurate and frequent underwater navigation solution, three strategies are chosen. The first one is the heading alignment angle identification to enhance the performance of standalone dead-reckoning algorithm. The second one is that absolute position is fused timely to prevent accumulation of integration error, where the absolute position can be selected between USBL and GPS considering sensor status. The third one is introduction of effective outlier rejection algorithm. The performance of the developed algorithm is verified with experimental data of mine disposal vehicle and deep-sea ROV.

Vibration test on MAST(multi axial simulation table) system has several advantage over one-axial vibration test that could simulate 6-DOF, 3-axial translation and 3-axial moment, at the same time. Since field vibration motion can be fully represented with 6-DOF, multi-axial vibration test on vehicle component is widely conducted in technical leading companies to make sure its fatigue performance in vibration environment. On the way to fulfill the process, editing technique of obtained field data is key issue to success a reliable vibration testing with MAST system. Since the original signals are not only too large to fulfill it directly, but all of the measured data is not guarantee its convergency on generating its driving files, editing technique of the original signals are highly required to make some events that should meet the equal fatigue damage on the target component In this paper, key technique on editing a field data feasible for MAST system is described based on energy method in vibration fatigue. To explain its technique explicitly, author first introduced a process on field data acquisition of two vehicle component and then, representing events are produced to keep up with the editing strategy about a energy method. In the final chapter, a time information regarding a vibration test on MAST system is derived from the energy data which is critical information to perform a vibration test.
Finite element stiffness matrix methods are presented for finding natural frequencies (or buckling loads) and modes of repetitive structures. The usual approximate finite element formulations are included, but more relevantly they also permit the use of 'exact finite elements', which account for distributed mass exactly by solving appropriate differential equations. A transcendental eigenvalue problem results, for which all the natural frequencies are found with certainty. The calculations are performed for a single repeating portion of a rotationally or linearly (in one, two or three directions) repetitive structure. The emphasis is on rotational periodicity, for which principal advantages include: any repeating portions can be connected together, not just adjacent ones; nodes can lie on, and members along, the axis of rotational periodicity; complex arithmetic is used for brevity of presentation and speed of computation; two types of rotationally periodic substructures can be used in a multi-level manner; multi-level non-periodic substructuring is permitted within the repeating portions of parent rotationally periodic structures or substructures and; all the substructuring is exact, i.e., the same answers are obtained whether or not substructuring is used. Numerical results are given for a rotationally periodic structure by using exact finite elements and two levels of rotationally periodic substructures. The solution time is about 500 times faster than if none of the rotational periodicity had been used. The solution time would have been about ten times faster still if the software used had included all the substructuring features presented.
