The purpose of this study was to identify impact of self-reflection, critical thinking disposition and multi cultural experience on nursing student's cultural competence. A convenience sample of 148 nursing students was obtained from a university in Gyeonggi Province. Data was analyzed using Pearson correlation and multiple regression. Significant relationships were found between self-reflection, critical thinking disposition, multi cultural experience and cultural competence in nursing student. The result of multiple regression indicates that critical thinking disposition (${\beta}=0.27$, p=.005), self-reflection (${\beta}=0.21$, p=.040) were the most consistent predictors of cultural competence and explained 26.0%. Thus, it is necessary to develop multi cultural education program including self-reflection and critical thinking disposition. Methods: A self-assessment instrument was used to measure TSE and educational needs for CCN. Questionnaires were completed by 285 nurses working in four Korean hospitals. Descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficients, and multiple regression were used to analyze the data. Results: Mean TSE score for all items was 4.54 and score for mean CCN educational needs, 5.77. Nurses with master's degrees or higher had significantly higher levels of TSE than nurses with bachelor's degrees. TSE positively correlated with English language proficiency, degrees of interest in multi-culture, degree of experience in caring for multi-cultural clients, and educational needs for CCN. The regression model explained 28% of TSE. Factors affecting TSE were degree of interest in multi-culture, degree of experience in caring for multi-cultural clients, and educational needs for CCN. Conclusion: The results of the study indicate a need for nurse educators to support nurses to strengthen TSE and provide educational program for TSE to provide nurses with strategies for raising interests in cultural diversity and successful experiences of cultural congruent care.

The purpose of this research was to analyze the concept map of kindergarten teachers concerning their levels of contents knowledge and their overall level of competency in terms of multi-cultural education. The participants were 104 teachers from 11 kindergartens in Busan. Data were analyzed by Sim's (2008) method based on Novak & Gowin (1984) and Morine-Dershimer (1993). The results were as follows. First, a majority of participants made a limited concept map and used 22 representative categories regarding multi-cultural education and the category of 'various nations' was the most popular superordinate concept. Second, the level of knowledge in terms of the maps were generally low in so far as most of maps reached hierarchy 1. The results of the research suggested that kindergarten teachers were lacking in basic knowledge of multi-cultual education and therefore there is a real need for both conceptualization and teacher training for multi-cultual education, reviewing of current 'teachers', 'manuals', and follow-up research aimed at analyzing teacher's multi-cultual education competence.

Level-Based Education is necessary for the multi-cultural learners because they tend to have the academic underachievement and learning deficiency that cause the huge educational gap. However, it is very hard to make the best of competence for the multi-cultural learners in the classroom. So, it is needed to suggest how we can use the educational contents that are appropriate for the Level-Based Learning and Individual Learning to make good use of teaching the learners from multi-cultural families. However, developing the new educational contents takes much time and cost, we have to improve existing contents for the student from multi-cultural families to use it. Hence, the purpose of this thesis is to develop the educational appropriateness evaluation scale to verify the educational contents that are for the multi-cultural students based on the educational content's evaluation tool, so by developing the scale, I intend to evaluate the 4~6 grades' Korean contents of the E-learning service and provide the ways of improvement.
