This article takes Disney animation as the research object to analyze the Chinese and American culture in the animation. The first part introduces the background of the animation. The theme of the animation comes from the long-standing narrative folk song Mulan Ci during the Southern and Northern Dynasties of China, and it introduces the parallel montage of animation narrative. The second part narrates the Chinese cultural elements in Mulan, and expounds on Disney's use and blending of Chinese cultural elements from three aspects of ink painting effect, national costumes and Confucianism. From the perspective of Western culture, the third part analyzes how to integrate Western thought and characteristics, and contrast with Chinese culture in Mulan from three aspects: Mushu, character and hierarchy.

본 연구는 뮬란시 스토리의 중국 남북조시대와 수나라, 당나라시대를 배경으로 제작된 뮬란의 영상 작품 분석을 통해 뮬란 캐릭터 메이크업의 차이점을 분석하고 시대적 메이크업의 전통문화 반영 여부를 파악하는데 연구 목적이 있다. 연구방법은 메이크업 이미지 분석을 진행하며 뮬란이 평소 집에서 생활할 때의 모습, 군대에서의 뮬란의 모습, 뮬란이 메이크업을 한 뒤의 모습 3장면의 모습을 남북조, 수나라, 당나라시대의 실제 메이크업과의 비교 분석하였다. 시대적 메이크업을 참고한 작품은 영화 <뮬란>(2020)과 <화뮬란>(2020), 드라마 <화뮬란>(1998)등 3편이 있으며, <뮬란>(2020)과 영화 <화뮬란>(2020) 두 편의 뮬란 영화가 어황장, 면엽, 사홍 등 남북조 시대 메이크업을 활용해 캐릭터 뮬란을 연출하고 있다. 수나라, 당나라 시대 메이크업 문화를 기본으로 한 작품은 <화뮬란>(1964)이 있다. 본 논문을 통해 향후 뮬란 관련 영상 작품의 발전이 있기를 기대하며, 그와 동시에 중국 남북조 시대와 수나라 당나라시대를 배경으로 하는 영상물 제작 시 시대에 따른 메이크업 연출이 영상물의 창작에 도움이 될 것이라 사료된다.

새로우면서도 재미있는 스토리텔링의 아이디어를 개발하기 위해 많은 연구가 이루어지고 있다. 이 중에서 전 세계적으로 성공한 작품을 가장 많이 보유하고 있는 디즈니에 관한 연구가 끊임없이 제시되고 있다. 본 연구는 이처럼 디즈니의 스토리텔링을 살펴보고자 하는 목적에 기반을 두고, 캐릭터라는 특정한 관점에서 원전에 해당되는 "목란시"와 <뮬란>을 비교함으로서 캐릭터가 변용을 확인해보았다. 분석을 통해 나타난 특징을 살펴보면 "목란시"와는 달리 <뮬란>에서는 캐릭터의 활용이 적극적으로 나타나고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 첫째로 캐릭터의 창조적 추가와 삭제가 있었다. 삭제된 캐릭터는 적지만 창조된 캐릭터는 많은 숫자임을 확인할 수 있었다. 이러한 창조는 현실적 캐릭터의 창조, 비현실적 캐릭터의 창조, 그리고 현실적 존재지만 비현실적 성격의 캐릭터라는 세 가지 형태로 나타났다. 두 번째는 캐릭터의 성격의 변형이다. "목란시"와 비교해볼 때 이런 특징을 보여주는 캐릭터는 뮬란에만 제한되고 있다. 뮬란은 목란과는 달리 남성적 적극성과 여성적 순응성이라 는 이중적 측면이 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 이러한 두 가지 특징을 통해 제시된 캐릭터는 서사 구조에서 필요에 따라 특정 부분에 등장하는 모습을 보여주었다. 세 번째는 창조된 캐릭터와 변형된 성격의 캐릭터를 통해 캐릭터간의 관계를 설정한 것을 알 수 있었다. 그리고 이러한 관계는 주어진 역할에 따라 혈연적 성격의 1차적 집단에 속하는 캐릭터와 사회조직성격의 2차적 집단에 속하는 캐릭터로 구분할 수 있었다. 이러한 서사 구조 내에서의 캐릭터의 변용은 디즈니가 스토리텔링을 개발하는 과정에서 원전에 비해 좀 더 탄력적인 서사 운영을 위해 사용되었던 것임을 간접적으로 확인할 수 있었다. 이와 같은 연구결과의 도출은 특정 작품 사례에 대한 집중분석을 통해서 스토리텔링 전략의 실질적 활용을 했다는 것에 의미가 있지만, 디즈니의 다른 작품을 통해서 유사한 결과가 나올 수 있는지를 좀 더 연구해볼 필요가 있다.

The relationship between film and culture is established through a shared focus on people's lives. Culture changes at different times, which makes a dynamic and complex relationship between film and culture. Understanding this relationship helps to provide better support for current filmmaking. The purpose of this study is to provide insights into the macro issue of film and culture by exploring the relationship between film theme and culture concept. To this end, we used a case study to explore the connection between themes and culture concepts in Disney's Mulan (1998, 2020) through literature and analyses of culture concepts (Chinese "imagery" and Postmodernism). The study concludes that, "Culture assemblage" and "Vision is king" have become cultural trends that influence the creation of film theme and style to a certain extent; how to balance the relationship between the core idea of film theme and the external forms is an important issue in current filmmaking. The article contributes to promote thinking about culture in film creation, and its research perspective on different cultures and histories is innovative.

In this paper, we consider the Cauchy problem to the tropical climate model. We establish the global regularity for the 2D tropical climate model with generalized nonlocal dissipation of the barotropic mode and obtain a multi-logarithmical vorticity blow-up criterion for the 2D tropical climate model without any dissipation of the barotropic mode.

Background: Nowadays, molecular biomarkers have critical roles for cancer diagnosis and prognosis in clinical laboratories. Human papillomaviruses are the main agents for etiology of cervical carcinoma. The present survey was conducted to evaluate the genes methylation in cervical cancer and precancerous lesions involvement with HPV genotypes. Materials and Methods: C13orf18 and C10rf166 (MULl or Mulan) DNA methylation as potential biomarkers and risk factors was investigated in 112 liquid based cytology and Formalin-Fixed Paraffin-Embedded tissue specimens in Iranian females with cervical intraepithelial neoplasia and dysplasia. Results: In this survey, HPV18 (61.6%) and HPV16 (42.9%) proved to be the most common HPV genotypes identified by In-House Multiplex Real Time PCR. There were no significant relationship between HPV positivity and the methylated DNA genes mentioned above (p>0.05). Conclusions: Our MethyLight data demonstrated that these genes could not be considered as specific, sensitive and suitable prognostic biomarkers in cervical dysplasia related HPV. It is suggested that further studies with more patients should be done on candidate methylated markers in different countries in order to plan for cervical cancer prevention.

색채는 시각이미지 표현의 중요한 조형요소로서 그 표현력이 증대되고 있다. 그러나 색채의 가변적인 특성과 함께 화면 내에서 조응하는 다른 조형요소와의 관계성은 색채의 효과적인 표현을 어렵게 한다. 디즈니사에서 제작된 <뮬란>과 <라이온 킹>에 나타난 그림스타일은 색채사용에 있어서 상당한 표현상의 차이가 있다. 두 작품의 색채사용에 대한 차이점과 그 원리를 규명하여 색채를 적절히 활용할 수 있는 방안을 세우고자 한다. 연구 방법으로는 색채가 가지고 있는 표현적인 특성을 다른 조형요소들과의 관계 속에서 어떻게 활성화시킬 수 있는가의 문제에 초점을 맞추었다. 결론적으로 색채는 빛의 속성 중 하나이지만 빛의 또 다른 속성인 밝고 어두움, 즉 콘트라스트(contrast)에 가장 큰 영향을 받는다는 것이다. 이것은 조형의 질서를 구축하는데 우선적으로 고려해야 할 사항 중 하나이다. 따라서 색채의 표현적인 특성을 강조하기 위해서는 다른 조형요소들과의 관계를 조절해야 하고 특히 명도와 형태의 표현적인 힘을 약화시켰을 때 가능해 진다.

The purpose of this study is to help the students in middle school improve their English listening comprehension by presenting effective teaching and learning techniques using animation. A good animation provides a self-contained world with language expressed in a virtual context. A few animation such as "Mulan", "The Emperor's New Clothes", and "Gulliver's Travel" are presented. The materials are primarily for English listening comprehension, enhance awareness of American culture and life-styles, and to encourage students' active role in learning English. It is suggested that their use with content-based instruction, where animation provides relevant schema background, makes language relevant and comprehensible. Practical aspects of classroom instruction are discussed, focusing on the adaption of pre-viewing, while-viewing, and post-viewing activities to the selected animation. It is concluded that careful animation selection, purposeful lesson planning, and the integration of pre-viewing, while-viewing, and post-viewing activities into the content-based lesson encourage natural language skills, especially the listening comprehension and students' interest in English.

본 연구는 뉴미디어 시대 인터넷 라이브 방송의 매체적 특성을 중심으로 논했다. 이를 목적으로 정보원, 메시지, 채널, 수용자, 효과로 구성된 SMCRE 모델로 통해 인터넷 라이브 방송의 매체 특성을 분석했다. 뿐만 아니라 선행연구들이 간과한 인터넷 라이브 방송 특유의 피드백도 고찰하였다. 또 인터넷 라이브 방송의 문제점을 제시하고 인터넷 라이브 방송의 미래 발전에 대한 전망을 제시하였다.

대중문화 콘텐츠로서 소비되는 애니메이션은 당대의 사회문화적 변화와 가치관을 스토리와 캐릭터의 시각적 표현을 통해 나타나며, 관객들은 애니메이션 감상 및 캐릭터 수용 과정에서 작품에 나타난 성 역할 행동을 사회적으로 통용되는 여성 및 남성의 이미지로서 학습하게 된다. 본 연구는 디즈니 애니메이션 중 스토리와 여성 캐릭터 설정에 현대적 여성상의 변화가 반영된 것으로 평가받는 '뮬란', '라푼젤', '모아나', '겨울왕국2'를 선정하고, 중심 여성 캐릭터의 의복 및 몸짓 표현을 분석하여 애니메이션 캐릭터의 성 역할 행동 표현이 시대적/사회적 흐름에 따른 변화 양상을 보이는지 알아보았다. 이를 통해 정형성을 탈피한 스토리 구성 및 캐릭터 설정 변화와 대조적으로 주인공으로서 여성 캐릭터의 시각적 표현에는 정형적 이미지의 성 역할 행동 표현이 사용되고 있음을 확인하였다. 본 연구는 애니메이션의 시각적 표현과 내포 의미를 확인함으로써 주요 수용자인 어린이 및 청소년 대상의 애니메이션 리터러시 교육에 대한 연구의 중요성을 강조하고자 한다.
