이동최소제곱 다절점 유한요소를 이용한 새로운 전역-국부해석 (A New Global-Local Analysis Using MLS(Moving Least Square Variable-Node Finite Elements)

  • 본 연구에서는 이동최소제곱 다절점 유한요소를 이용한 새로운 전역-국부해석기법을 제시하였다. 다절점 유한요소는 요소의 변에 임의의 수 절점을 가질 수 있으므로, 여러 개의 유한요소를 요소망의 재구성 없이 동시적으로 결합시킬 수 있다. 이는 응력구배가 집중되는 곳에 유한요소망을 구성하는 데에 있어 큰 편의를 제공한다. 또한 기존의 전역-국부해석기법처럼 중첩된 요소망을 사용하거나, 지배방정식을 두 번 해석할 필요가 없기 때문에 매우 간편하고 정확하다. 제시된 방법론의 성능을 검증하기 위해 응력 집중과 관련된 다양한 다중스케일 문제를 해석하였다.

선박의 유동해석 문제에 대한 중첩격자기법(Suggar++)의 활용 (Application of the Overset Grid Scheme (Suggar++) for Flow Analysis around a Ship)

  • Recent CFD solvers in engineering have to treat geometrically complex domains and moving body problems. In ship hydrodynamics, flow around the stern and ship motions in waves are examples of such cases mentioned before. The unstructured grid scheme is successfully applied for these problems, but it has weakness of inefficient memory usage and intensive computational time as compared to the structured grid method. Overset grid scheme is one of the alternatives for structured grid system taking advantage of fast and memory efficiency. Overset grid scheme is especially useful for moving body problem because there is no need to re-mesh around the body. In this paper, we adopted the Suggar++, the grid connectivity and interpolation utility for the overlapping grid, to WAVIS which is the in-house flow solver of KRISO. Then we introduced some applications using the overset grid method for flow analysis around the ships. The computed results show that WAVIS with Suggar++ is practically feasible and has an advantages for moving geometry cases.

엔트로피-도플러 기법을 이용한 동적 라우팅 프로토콜에 관한 연구 (A study on Dynamic Routing Protocol using Entropy-Doppler Topology)

  • MANET(Mobile Ad-Hoc Networks)는 이동성이 있는 상태의 모바일 노드들이 자율적인 이동 네트워크 구조를 갖는 것을 말하며, 일반적인 무선 네트워크는 크게 트리구조(Tree structure) 및 메쉬구조(Mesh structure)로 나누고 있다. 따라서 이러한 네트워크 구조의 특성에는 전송경로의 단절, 전송 중첩 및 망의 지속성을 보장이 어려운 실정이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 온톨로지 기반의 도플러효과를 이용한 동적인 라우팅 프로토콜 방법으로 ODDMRP (Ontology Doppler effect-based Dynamic Multicast Routing Protocol)기술을 제안한다. 본 논문의 ODDMRP에서는 노드들의 엔트로피(Entropy)에 의한 도플러 효과(Doppler effect)와 이를 이용한 주변 노드(node)들의 이동위치, 이동시간 및 분포도 등 전송되는 전송 속도(Velocity) 뿐만 아니라 노드의 이동방향과 속성체계구조(Property structure organization)가 포함된 기술을 제안하고자 한다. 이러한 구조는 최적화(Optimized)된 전송 경로를 유지하며 경로의 안정화(Stabilization) 및 연결의 지속성(Continuation durability of connectivity)을 향상시킨다.

  • The platform screen door(PSD) is installed in the station of the Seoul Metro 9th line for passengers' safety and comfortable environment of the station. The track way exhaust system(TES) is also operated with PSD to exhaust heat released from train. TES can also be used for the purpose of the heat and smoke control in an emergency case of the carriage fire. When the fire is occurred, operation of TES is switched to the smoke exhaust mode form its normal ventilation mode. In the present study, a subway station of Seoul Metro 9th line is modeled, and a 3-D CFD simulation is performed to investigate effectiveness of designed TES in case of fire. A scenario that a train under fire is arriving the station is simulated for several possible operation modes of the TES using moving mesh technique. As a result, temperature and CO concentration distribution in the station is obtained for each operation modes of TES. The effectiveness of TES operation in case of fire is also discussed.

  • 이 논문에서는 2 차원 실린더의 와류유발진동에 따른 Lock-in 현상에 대해 수치해석을 수행하였다. 실린더의 운동을 모사하기 위해 변형격자와 고정격자를 이용하였다. 스프링 상사기법을 이용하여 격자를 변형하였다. 격자수 및 시간 간격 등을 조절해 얻은 수렴된 수치해가 비교 및 검증에 사용되었다. 또한, 유체-구조 결합 방법들의 효율성과 정확도를 비교 검토하였다.

거칠기맵과 편향맵을 이용한 지형 렌더링 가법 (A Terrain Rendering Method using Roughness Map and Bias Map)

  • 최근의 지형시각화 연구에서는 대용량 데이터를 실시간에 처리하기 위하여 여러 가지 상세단계조절 기법을 사용한다. 하지만 상세단계조절을 통한 메쉬 간략화 과정에서 발생하는 기하오차 때문에 연속된 프레임에서 기하파핑 현상이 열어난다. 본 논문에서는 거칠기맵과 편향맵을 이용하여 기하파핑 현상을 효과적으로 줄일 수 있는 방법을 제안한다. 거칠기맵과 편향맵은 지형 메쉬를 구성하는 정점이 적은 기하오차를 가지는 위치로 이동 시켜주는 역할을 한다. 거칠기맵과 편향맵은 텍스쳐로 저장되기 때문에 GPU에서 사용하기 적합하다. 또한 편향맵을 이용한 정점 이동 연산은 GPU에서 수행되므로 병렬처리를 통한 빠른 시각화가 가능하다.

  • There are many difficult problems in analyzing the flow characteristics in a high voltage circuit breaker such as shock wave and complex geometries, which may be either static or in relative motion. Although a variety of mesh generation techniques are now available, the generation of meshes around complicated, multicomponent geometries like a gas circuit breaker is still a tedious and difficult task for the computational fluid dynamics. This paper presents the computational method for analyzing the compressible flow fields in a high voltage gas circuit breaker using the Cartesian cut-cell method based on the CFD-CAD integration, which can achieve the accurate representation of the geometry designed by a CAD tools. The technique is frequently satisfied, and it will be almost universally so in the future, as the CFD-CAD traffic increases.

음함수 곡면의 날카로운 형상 가시화를 위한 확장 Adaptively Sampled Distance Fields 방법 (Extended Adaptively Sampled Distance Fields Method for Rendering Implicit Surfaces with Sharp Features)

  • Implicit surfaces are geometric shapes which are defined by implicit functions and exist in three-dimensional space. Recently, implicit surfaces have received much attention in solid modeling applications because they are easy to represent the location of points and to use boolean operations. However, it is difficult to chart points on implicit surfaces for rendering. As efficient rendering method of implicit surfaces, the original Adaptively Sampled Distance Fields (ADFs) $method^{[1]}$ is to use sampled distance fields which subdivide the three dimensional space of implicit surfaces into many cells with high sampling rates in regions where the distance field contains fine detail and low sampling rates where the field varies smoothly. In this paper, in order to maintain the sharp features efficiently with small number of cells, an extended ADFs method is proposed, applying the Dual/Primal mesh optimization $method^{[2]}$ to the original ADFs method. The Dual/Primal mesh optimization method maintains sharp features, moving the vertices to tangent plane of implicit surfaces and reconstructing the vertices by applying a curvature-weighted factor. The proposed extended ADFs method is applied to several examples of implicit surfaces to evaluate the efficiency of the rendering performance.

재난 구조용 다중 로봇을 위한 GNSS 음영지역에서의 TWR 기반 협업 측위 기술 (TWR based Cooperative Localization of Multiple Mobile Robots for Search and Rescue Application)

  • For a practical mobile robot team such as carrying out a search and rescue mission in a disaster area, the localization have to be guaranteed even in an environment where the network infrastructure is destroyed or a global positioning system (GPS) is unavailable. The proposed architecture supports localizing robots seamlessly by finding their relative locations while moving from a global outdoor environment to a local indoor position. The proposed schemes use a cooperative positioning system (CPS) based on the two-way ranging (TWR) technique. In the proposed TWR-based CPS, each non-localized mobile robot act as tag, and finds its position using bilateral range measurements of all localized mobile robots. The localized mobile robots act as anchors, and support the localization of mobile robots in the GPS-shadow region such as an indoor environment. As a tag localizes its position with anchors, the position error of the anchor propagates to the tag, and the position error of the tag accumulates the position errors of the anchor. To minimize the effect of error propagation, this paper suggests the new scheme of full-mesh based CPS for improving the position accuracy. The proposed schemes assuring localization were validated through experiment results.

Prediction of initiation time of corrosion in RC using meshless methods

  • Degradation of reinforced concrete (RC) structures due to chloride penetration followed by reinforcement corrosion has been a serious problem in civil engineering for many years. The numerical simulation methods at present are mainly finite element method (FEM) and finite difference method (FDM), which are based on mesh. Mesh generation in engineering takes a long time. In the present article, the numerical solution of chloride transport in concrete is analyzed using radial point interpolation method (RPIM) and element-free Galerkin (EFG). They are all meshless methods. RPIM utilizes radial polynomial basis, whereas EFG uses the moving least-square approximation. A Galerkin weak form on global is used to attain the discrete equation, and four different numerical examples are presented. MQ function and appropriate parameters have been proposed in RPIM. Numerical simulation results are compared with those obtained from the finite element method (FEM) and analytical solutions. Two case of chloride transport in full saturated and unsaturated concrete are analyzed to test the practical applicability and performance of the RPIM and EFG. A good agreement is obtained among RPIM, EFG, and the experimental data. It indicates that RPIM and EFG are reliable meshless methods for prediction of chloride concentration in concrete structures.
