동적인 입력환경에서 신뢰성이 있는 이동 에지세그먼트 검출 (Reliable extraction of moving edge segments in the dynamic environment)

  • 이동물체를 추출하는 방법에 있어 대부분의 알고리즘이 화소 값을 이용하는 한계를 갖고 있어 조명 변화가 심한 실내 환경에서는 이용되지 못하고 있다. 화소 값을 이용하는 알고리즘은 대부분 이동 물체가 없다고 검증된 참조영상을 두고, 현재 영상과의 비교를 통해서 이루어진다. 하지만 조명 변화가 심할 경우 이동물체를 검출 할 수 있도록 참조 영상을 유지한다는 것은 거의 불가능하다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 에지 정보를 이용한 시도가 있었으나 에지의 구조적인 해석을 통해 접근하지 않고, 화소의 위치 정보만 사용하여, 윤곽선 사용의 큰 의미를 부여 하지 못하였다. 본 논문에서는 실내 환경에서 효과적으로 이동물체를 검출할 수 있도록 구조화된 에지(Edge) 정합을 기반으로 하는 방안을 제안한다. 조명 변화가 심한 실내 환경에서 제안 된 방법을 평가한 결과, 이동 물체의 에지 세그먼트를 정확하고 일관되게 추출함을 보여 주었다.

  • Human frequently communicate non-linguistic information with gesture. So, we must develop efficient and fast gesture recognition algorithms for more natural human-computer interaction. However, it is difficult to recognize gesture automatically because human's body is three dimensional object with very complex structure. In this paper, we suggest a method which is able to detect key frames and frame changes, and to classify image sequence into some gesture groups. Gesture is classifiable according to moving part of body. First, we detect some frames that motion areas are changed abruptly and save those frames as key frames, and then use the frames to classify sequences. We symbolize each image of classified sequence using Principal Component Analysis(PCA) and clustering algorithm since it is better to use fewer components for representation of gestures. Symbols are used as the input symbols for the Hidden Markov Model(HMM) and recognized as a gesture with probability calculation.

영상합성을 위한 영상으로부터의 견실한 카메라피라미터 확정법 (Robust Estimation of Camera Parameters from Video Signals for Video Composition)

  • In this paper, we propose a robust estimation of camera parameters from image sequence for high quality video composition. We first establish correspondence of feature points between consecutive image fields. After the establishment, we formulate a nonlinear least-square data fitting problem. When the image sequence contains moving objects, and/or when the correspondence establishment is not successful for some feature points, we get bad observations, outliers. They should be properly eliminated for a good estimation. Thus, we propose an iterative algorithm for rejecting the outliers and fitting the camera parameters alternatively. We show the validity of the proposed method using computer generated data sets and real image sequeces.

  • In the previous study, the countermeasure for welding deformation of bracket tilt is through up through experimental inspection for total process including welding process. For completeness of systematic examination of parts having sensitivity on welding deformation, the comparison and feedback between the result through simulation of welding process and experimental data is needed. In other words, it is necessary to control welding deformation that construct the prediction system for welding deformation through comparison and tuning with experimental data. In the present study, the application of FEA on welding process of bracket tilt with susceptibility to deformation is made and deformation behavior through change of welding sequence is focused on. It is used to improve the exactness of deformation analysis that three dimensional analysis for moving heat source, activated and deactivated bead element, and volume heat flux etc.

  • This study aims at alalyzing the circulation process, merchandising system of Mosi(Korean traditional garment material), and accessing the way of interior design of Mosi market. There are three kinds of garment material of Mosi such as Pilmosi, Gootmosi, Taemosi classified by manufacturing process. At Mosi market, these three materials are sold in due sequence. Mosi market needs three space zones such as Mosi market space, inspecting space of Mosi and resting place, and these three spaces have strong interrelationship, so designer should plan not to disterb the moving flow. In the Mosi market space there should be divided by three zones such as Pilmosi marketing place, Gootmosi marketing place, and Taemosi marketing place in due sequence. The furniture of Mosi market place divided two kinds such as furniture for Pilmosi and that of Gootmosi or Taemosi. The proper form of furniture for Pilmosi is circular arc bar counter and that for Gootmosi or Taemosi is low rectangular table.

In this paper we give sufficient conditions so that $\sum{_{t=1}^{[ns]}\mathbb{X}_t$ (properly normalized) converges weakly to Wiener measure if the corresponding result for $\sum{_{t=1}^{[ns]}\mathbb{Z}_t$ is true.

  • This paper describes a distance estimation method of object's motion in soccer image sequence by tracking field features. And we quantitatively evaluate the estimation accuracy We suppose that the input image sequence is taken with a camera on static axis and includes only zooming and panning transformation between frames. Adaptive template matching is adopted for non-rigid object tracking. For background compensation, feature templates selected from reference frame image are matched in following frames and the matched feature point pairs are used in computing Affine motion parameters. A perspective displacement field model is used for estimating the real distance between two position on Input Image. To quantitatively evaluate the accuracy of the estimation, we synthesized a 3 dimensional virtual stadium with graphic tools and experimented on the synthesized 2 dimensional image sequences. The experiment shows that the average of the error between the actual moving distance and the estimated distance is 1.84%.

순서 통계형-적응 가중평균 혼성필터를 이용한 잡음화된 영상열의 향상 (Enhancement of noisy image sequence using order statistic-adaptive weighted average hybrid filters)

  • In this research we propose the design of the Order Statistic-Adaptive Weighted Average Hybrid(OS-AWAH) filter which can suppress noise from the corrupted image sequence effectively while preserving the image structure. The proposed filter combines the desirable properties of the order static based spatial filter which can preserve the image structure while reducing noise and the adaptive weighted average based temporal filter which can adapt the filtering weights according to the amount of motion without motion estimation. Performance characteristics of the OS-AWAH filter in noisy sequences containing moving step edges are investigated throuth computer simulations and compared with the median based filters such as 3-D WM(weighted median) filter, MMF (multistage median filter), ADCWM(adaptive directional center weighted median) filter. The visual evaluations are also carried out by applyin gthe filters to the real images. The statistical analysis and experimental reslts show that the OS-AWAH filter is effective in preserving image structures while suppressing noise effectively without motion compensation preprocessing.

공간 필터링에 근거한 시간축 내삽기 (Temporal interpolator based on spatial filtering)

  • In this paper, we propose a new temporal interpolation method based on spatial filtering. Compared with the conventional method, the proposed one may use a few adjacent frames and apply temporal lowpass filtering. To develop this method, we follow the basic approach of sampling rate conversion. Additionally, we use some assumption of video sequence : moving object has constant velocity rigid translational motion. From them, spatial filtering for temporal sampling rate conversion is described. This method has a lot of noise immunity on a motion vector and doesn't make a great difference from the original frame. The interpolated frame shows moderate change even there is a great time difference. This method has exactly same description of motion adaptive spatial filter which has an efficient temporal band-limiting characteristics. It imposes the possibility to make video sequence with good pictural quality.

  • Spatially referenced mobile mapping (MM) images contain rich information of man-made objects , e.g. road centerlines, buildings, light poles, traffic signs ,billboards and line trees etc. Therefore, the applications in transportation, urban 3D reconstruction, utility management are implemented increasingly. It’s a fundamental issue lies in MM image process that how to orient this image in the object space including interior orientation of camera and the exterior orientation of image. In this paper, the algorithm of automatic acquirement of DC (Digital Camera) parameters based on MM images is illustrated. And then, the mapping between image space and object space for MM images is described.
